pay attention!!! on the back panel DDL-1 - this device summarizes both channels inside. To save the stereo processed signal, you need to use 2 pieces of DDL-1
Really neat technique! Love the sound of the track (need to look Ron up now). Unfortunately it does illustrate a downside of the Player design by needing a dummy device to stop it from automatically doing stuff you don't want it to do and thus adding useless clutter to the rack.
Ron Headback is just the right man to bring in when you say Reason and House music
Would love to see Ron do more of these. A tiny bit hard to follow, but there’s a pause button for that. A massive education in 20 minutes. Thank you.
Great subject. I'm way too lazy with Alligator, I go for a preset, then tweak it.
Great video, More from Ron please, Reason Studios knows how to find tallented Reason Users. Can you make more free Combinator patches please?
Is it possible to buy just the " rack vst plugin" only , not the full reason
Was thinking of interesting ways of using the Beatmap this morning. Awesome video 🙏🙏
I send heatmap into synths then into Objekt, kinda crazy.
Beautiful sound and great instruction.
Ingenious way to have dynamic rhythm parts of a track.
Appreciate the work put in and important fundamentals here. Great work and thanks for the d/l
Excellent sound design Ideas, Thank you !
This video rocks , keep em coming, thank
Great video--high level Reason' ing
interesting, I thought this technique was usually done by using your drum track as a carrier signal for your vocoder, and running pads through it
I did a similar sound with NNXT, Matrix sequencer, Reverb, delay, with Reason 4 back in 07 but this patch is better, easier to adapt.

This was awesome. MORE RON please!!!! I haven’t seen RS content this good in ages.
Great combinator setup. Definitely going to give this one a try.
Great video and combinator! Thanks!
This is great non conformist usage that is fantastic!
Dang, denied access to combinator :(
yes cool ..and thank you ..well explained.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but, I can't achieve that lush Chord sound like that
Hey! There's an updated download here, www.reasonstudios.com/blog/turn-drones-into-rhythmic-patterns-heres-how/ (the audiofile "chordy" was missing!)
so dope. thank you!
I’m so lost😅
Where do I get chordy.wav from. Reason complained it couldn't find it when I opened the combinator.
Hi, sorry file was missing. New download here: www.reasonstudios.com/blog/turn-drones-into-rhythmic-patterns-heres-how/
