10:47 - 12:05 "Hmmm, those are some pretty good ideas. I'm surprised nobody has made a mod of them yet." 12:12 "yes." 12:31 "YES!" 13:08 *"* *Y* *E* *S* *!* *"* I'm so hyped! Great video again Saurian! (sorry you had the flu btw)
The hype train has left the station!!! And thanks, BeepBeep! Glad you enjoyed the review. And thanks for your consolation on my illness, I'm just glad to finally be rid of it. Haha
Thanks for being patient with this one, guys! Life throws a lot of crazy stuff at ya, but I'm glad we finally finished the original trilogy of Carnivores games! Cityscape's up next, but I'll probably put it on the backburner for now and double-down on the Modern Days showcase.
Well........If you think Ice Age is that bad, maybe someone could make a remake for it? Add things to the maps, well thought out creatures and enhanced species, maybe?
I used Observer Mode a lot because I was nervous about getting a surprise attack by one of the animals. I wanted to see the wolf up close without having to worry about him killing me, so my hunter walked up to one, the wolf stopped and growled, then leaked right at me and shook the hunter’s body like it was a giant rope toy. Safe to say that frightened me more than any jump scare from Carnivaides I or II.
Remember, alien or not, they still act like real animals, not movie monsters. Don't except them to have the same aggression as Tyrannosaurus alienus (Except the Yeti).
Carnivores ice age is my favorite Carnivores game! Because the game has a somewhat "Darker Vibe" and the cold winter makes it feel dark and scary. I can kind of agree with The animal roster, but some are pretty cool. My favorite from the original game is the Dyatrima. And the mobile port of Ice age Makes it SOOoOOO much better in a way that will take way to long to explain! I love to hear your opinions on these games!! Keep up the good work sauian! Smilodon🐅 Dyatrima🦃 Wild boar🐗 Mammoth🐘 Wolf🐺. Wolly rhino🐂 🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨🌨❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
I always wondered why there wasn't a reference to The Thing (1982) in Ice Age. I can already imagine exploring an abandoned Dino Corp. Research facility that's been deserted after an unexplained attack. They could have even tied it into the Yetis maybe making them a planet guardian of sorts. Love your videos man recently got back into playing the original games and found your channel because of that.
That would've been a really cool Easter Egg! Too bad Ice Age got rushed out to meet a holiday season it technically missed... Haha thanks for watching, friend! :)
Ah, this was the second best, in my opinion, the original carnivores is/will forever be my favourite, carnivores ice age only, well, like you said, just really a reskin, but with a different selection of maps and a different selection of dinosaurs. (Well, in this case, mammals), still, keep up your good work! Im looking forward to the next video!
Saurian Target you're welcome! Im really glad that you communicate with your fans, but quick question, have you seen the trailer for jurassic world fallen kingdom? And if so, what are your thoughts on it?
I remember when me and my dad would always play this game. Once I found out about RUclips and signed in I saw carnivores mods and freaked out. After that me and my dad would always look for the modded Dinosaurs in the normal game. I spent about a whole year searching for those things.
Out of the 3 Carnivores games from the original trilogy, I'd agree with you on this one. Carnivores: Ice Age feels rushed in development, and the cut content sounds interesting, and I wish they hadn't forced themselves to meet the 2001 holiday season. Admittedly, I probably was scared of these games, back in my childhood. Hunting for prehistoric alien replicas of modern-day/extinct animals was quite the change from games like, "Midtown Madness 1 & 2, Bird Hunter: Upland Edition", and "Rollercoaster Creator".
Time waits for no man, but if it had given Action Forms just a little more, maybe Ice Age would have been more complete. Yeah, the Carnivores games were a unique breed for their time! Of the games you mentioned, I vaguely remember Bird Hunter: Upland Edition, but I haven't heard of the others.
They're games that I grew up with. One's a subjectively classic (and fun to play) racing game. The other one's a bird hunting simulator. I played both on Windows 98. I did enjoy the bird hunting one, too.
To be honest, some of the animal choices were so bland, blander than a white pencil; having a cryptid is fine, this is an alien planet after all, but this is a re-modelled Bear, nothing interesting, it would be nice to hear Frostbite being Ice Age 2, to cover up the damage that was done.
Ice age took quite a beating there! well anyway good review as always. My favorite memory was waking up on a saturday morning with 200 points to the yeti - i was very exited because itwas the first time i unlocked it. I spent half the day getting the 200 points and a lot of the evening to kill the damn thing.
That's awesome! I can remember that kind of excitement myself: getting so close to unlocking a certain animal, map or weapon but having to leave or something, then excitedly rushing back to keep playing. Great stuff. I'm sure the Yeti tested your hunting patience!
I remember playing this game for the first time with my brother and some family friends around the same time to when the movie "Ice Age" came in theatres. That really brought the mood and interest in. Also while listening to your suggestion about adding the ancient and mythological and supernatural lore and potential horror elements, it reminded me of how I have imagined a story/scenario based on the classic short story called "The Wendigo" which was about a hunting group up north in Canada(?) that was stalked by a sasquatch creature or the actual wendigo monster. That would be cool to fit with the yeti here.
I remember as a kid I always felt safer swimming then wondering in the middle of those frozen forests, Smilodon gave me a HUGE jump scare the first time I saw it lol! XD
5:03 WRONG the wolf is supposed to be a Dire Wolf and Bear is a Short-faced bear or short-snouted idk is the largest and most powerful bear ever to live and dear the most powerful dear idk how to spell it. But it's true that a few animals like pigs and boars have made it through from the Ice Age or When mammals ruled the Earth and Rhino is a wooly Rhino
Another great review. I'm not as familiar with this game as with Carnivores 2 as I only played this on the PSP version, which actually lacked the famous Ravaren's bridge, and as I wasn't familiar with the maps either, my mind actually pondered over what other structures were missing from the game. There was even a spot in the snowy mountain part of Ravaren's Bridge that made me think there was something intended to be there. While the maps are lacking, a few of the maps had nice variety in terms of landscape, snow cover, and vegetation, so it showed that a northern environment had a lot of potential for good maps. I think a fan-made "revamp" of this game could be great: Update the skins, change the sounds, and add new features to the already existing maps to provide a new experience to this game while still remaining true to the canon of other entries.
Oh so you actually played the PSP version of Ice Age? How was the laser rifle, then? There are so few people who actually played the PSP versions that it's hard to find some direct feedback from someone who used it. Yeah, I agree, the most varied maps are the best IMO. I think that's why Ravaren's Bridge is my favorite map. Hopefully Far North will remedy the issues people have with the polar sector.
It's extremely powerful. Imagine the C2 sniper rifle but even stronger. The iron sight for that weapon is also different, pretty cool honestly. It seems to be in good hands and I look forward to seeing what they have in store.
You know, I've actually been thinking about doing sort of a remake of Carnivores: Ice Age sometime in the future (that is, when I get a frickin' laptop) called "Carnivores: Ice Age - Revisited". It's still in the progress of planning, but there will be new maps with more notable landmarks and mysterious structures built by sentient beings, a few new animals to replace those in the original Ice Age game (such as the dodo, Hyaenodon, and Elasmotherium), and a much more unique and lively weapon roster for players to choose from. If all goes swimmingly, then there may even be a few DLC animals as well. It probably won't be my first mod, but I definitely want to work on that specific project of mine sometime in the future. Also, I'm pretty excited for Carnivores: Far North myself. From what I've read over on the saga, it's shaping up to be a pretty awesome and immersive mod so far, and I personally can't wait to play it for myself. :)
It's great you still have the drawing by your uncle about you getting scared by the game; a lot of things like that get thrown away in the end. Does your uncle know you're still really into the series and your hobby making videos?
I'm glad I still have it as well, it'd be a shame to lose a gem like that haha. Y'know, I'm certain he doesn't know I'm still into the Carnivores games and making videos on them. I wonder what he'd think about it... Thanks to these reviews, he's almost famous for introducing me to Carnivores.
The title screen music alone keeps it high in my nostalgia. I got back into carnivores because I remembered that theme and couldn’t shake it out of my head. I tried the mobile Ice Age game because of it, and from there jumped to mobile Carnivores and got hit full force with all the memories. I never got too far as a kid out of fear, so I never really noticed the flaws that I see you pointing out now. I do remember being fascinated about the mystery creature (having not yet been overly familiar with the Yeti as a concept yet), but in retrospect I wish they did something supernatural horror with it, maybe using that as a jumping point to build on the Yeti, sort of how Far Cry 4 did so many years later. I also remember being a bit bored of the maps being so similar where the other games had such variety. Temples and jungles in the first, temperate forests and fjords and forts in the second and… snow, ice floes and dead trees in the third. The world was lacking, but I did enjoy a lot of the animals outside the boar being boring, and coexisting with a pig that looks almost exactly the same. That just felt like a soulless rehash of the gallimimus and velociraptor being similar on purpose to make hunters think twice and stay on their toes. In the first few games it always made me stop and look to make sure the gallimimus weren’t raptors before proceeding; in Ice Age Ive startled myself countless times because I thought I just ran into a random boar on my hunt that was about to ruin everything, before realizing it IS still a boar, just the nonlethal kind. Much more grumbling at that. It was more fun to discern and differentiate Gallimimus from Velociraptor, especially when you’re hunting for raptors; makes it feel like a primal, deadly game of “Where’s Waldo?”, down to the stripes. The boar and pig dichotomy gave me none of that, and only really amplified the “these are modern animals” feeling. I also just wish they called the Wolf and Bear what they were based on; Dire Wolves and Cave Bears. Naming alone could have fixed a lot of issues with that. But to be fair outside of Mammoths and Smilodons, I feel they should have forsaken the modern animals entirely and just gone with more exotic Pleistocene choices like they ended up adding later in the mobile version with Hyenadon, Andrewsarchus, Doedicurus, and Indricotherium. That would have really set the game more apart from other modern day hunters and taken away a lot of the overall boring feeling. Bleak, but in the “mediocre content” way and not the “trekking the frozen north” way. I still have a lot of fond memories regardless, though. I’ve already gone on so I’ll probably rattle them off another time, since this is already so long 😅
Hi man, I don't know if you remember me because I haven't been very active on your channel recently, but as always, great video with quality of very big ytbers but for a small one like you ! I enjoy so much your videos, and you have original content !
Hey man, of course I remember you! Perks of being a small channel. xD Glad you still enjoy the content and are still hanging around! Sometimes I worry people might get bored of my content.
Saurian Target I well never get bored, even if I am only twelve, I am passionate by dinosaurs since I am three and I have played so much the Carnivores games ! So I am very glad that you do such content !
I liked "Carnivores: Ice Age" more, simply because I find prehistoric mammals more interesting than dinosaurs. But, I do agree that the Ice Age one is a bit of a downgrade.
5:01 lets be honest ik this video is old but wolly rhino and megalarcos are real excint animals like what about the mammoth its an elephant but its adapted to cold weather wolly rhino is the same thing and megalarcos is ancestor of the deers but ngl theres an excint bear species but i think it wasnt discovered when the game was out but wolf makes no sense and idk about the boars so well that all what i have to say right now
I cannot play this game in windows 7 ( I mean, the direct 3d doesn't work, it shows a message saying something like d3d stopped") or in another ocassion I have putted the resolution 1600×1200 and it returns to lower resolutions. Please help,I couldn't find any patch to fix this probelm. Thanks!!!!
Another great video! Ice Age is one of those games that I knew wasn't the greatest but it had a special meaning to me. I really think that Ice Age mobile's choice in animals has really helped out the cast of huntable creatures for Ice Age. Could you possibly make a video at some point about the added creatures to the mobile games and how each one fits into the game compared to the others and if you thought it was a good choice? Maybe comment on the designs and how you would of done them? Since they have been out for a while some might have grown on you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the review! Yeah, I don't think it's great, but Ice Age has a special meaning to me too. I'll definitely touch on what I think of the mobile Ice Age animals in my Carnivores mobile port reviews. Spoiler alert - they haven't grown much on me. Haha
Honestly if Ice Age was a different planet than the previous one it would be better world building; it doesn’t work the way Subnautica and belie zero work, with just another zone of the planet; it doesnt feel like the same planet so it really should be a different one DinoHunt expanded onto or something
nice video as always ! carnivores ice age scared the crap out of me as a kid, my father used to watch me playing and laugh so hard everytime something attacks me xd good days
it still scares me to this very day xd not that much but getting killed by an animal is an equivalent to a jumpscare from a horror game, thats my brain's thoughts about the game when i was a kiddo
The wild boar should’ve been the entelodon or daedon. The megaloceros was a prehistoric deer that was way bigger than the moose and the wolf should be the dire wolf.
It was one of my favorite games as a kid, But playing on an OLD school style PC it was next to impossible to play. I wish We Could get a legit Ice age Reboot, I mean sure there was farcry primal, but.

Saurian Target 1. Triassic death (Carnivores triassic) Hunt on the battlefield Hunt every carnivore *Including the final animal* Use any 2-3 weapons Use anything else. 2.Find out what the chasmosaurus did better than the triceratops. (Flat out, just what features made the chasmosaurus better.). *One more thing, is the carnivores discord up and running, because i have had a "Back-up" one. If nothing is up yet, can my discord be the main one? And will you do a face reveal?* *Also, just want to say that I hope your computer works better. Thank you very much, and have a merry Christmas.*
I have nearly the exact same experience with Ice Age! It was the second game in the series my dad bought and I watched him play it while being even more terrified than I was by Carnivores 2. Looking back on the game now that I'm older and more knowledgeable, I agree that it really didn't add much other than new creatures, and, even then, they weren't all that amazingly-done. In fact, I'd say that, looking at it now, the game feels like it was released before it was actually finished. I'm REALLY excited for Far North because of that; plus, it just looks amazing! One of my favorite memories of Ice Age is how my dad speculated that The Yeti had the same call as the bear so it could call in bears to eat. My dad has never been a gamer and doesn't even particularly like video games at all, but he really had a knack for Carnivores; it got him thinking in a way you only really see people who care about a particular game or series do, like how I nearly figured out the Zelda timeline before it was unveiled (so close!). One thing I'll add that I love way more in Ice Age than in 2 is the dimensions of the animals; the lengths and weights of some of the dinosaurs felt so weird. The Spinosaurus and Ceratosaurus were given the same dimensions as the Velociraptor, the Stegosaurus outweighed the Tyrannosaurus by sometimes as much as three tons at their max sizes, and the only carnivore that outweighed ANY of the herbivores was the Tyrannosaurus. The numbers seemed much more balanced and sensible in Ice Age to me. I actually never realized that The Yeti was given the same menu dimensions as the Tyrannosaurus; I don't know how I missed that in spite of how obsessive as I always was with numbers. I learned something new about Carnivores today!
Same! The more I look back at Ice Age (disappointingly albeit lovingly), the more excited I get for Far North. That's actually a really interesting theory about the Yeti's calls, kudos to your dad for coming up with that one! It seems like Carnivores has a special way of bonding family members together. Also, I definitely agree with the animal proportions in this one. They actually make sense given the sizes, as opposed to the lazily copy-and-pasted new Carnivores 2 dinosaurs. I guess each sequel has its own list of pros and cons!
I couldn't find anything online about this issue; does anyone know why I'm getting a glitch where some of the terrain textures are missing? Like they just look like invisible spots around the ground. I did patch the game too.
Saurian Target I was stunned with how good the animals look and move honestly they have animations that rival the official animals who ever animated them has some serious talent.
The mobile port did better, the Yetis call is creepy. It sounds like a Sasquatch call mixed with a kind of primate. It creeped me out, when I was hunting it at night.
There are download links to the original games on our Carnivores Saga Discord server (links in description), but all of the mods can be found on ModDB.
There's one point I have to disagree with, and that's the animal roster, I know it's just your opinion, but I actually like the roster for Ice Age, the animal choices in Far North that you claim are "excellent polar animal choices" to me, aren't, yes, I am aware that this is set on an alien planet and that these are not the species from Earth, but most of the animals from Far North are based on animals that aren't from the Ice Age, (Only exceptions being Macronia being based on Macrauchenia, Dipttadon being based on Diprotodon, Megateiry being based on Megatherium, and Dinotornis being based on Dinornis) I hate when people use any random Cenozoic animals they can think of and just simply call them Ice Age animals, so I think that Action Forms was aware of what animal inspirations they should use for their alien creatures, I think they actually took a nice route, not "the lazy route" like you claim, because fun fact, most of the animals in the game (Except Brontoteiry, Archeopterics, Diatrima, and Gigantosimiae) are from the Pleistocene epoch, not trying to be rude to you Saurian, just clarifying something to you.😀
I had to watch this video twice. At first I thought you were too harsh on it but on the second viewing I see why. Imagine instead of a boar, wolf and bear they used Indricotherium, Hyaenodon, Andrewsarchus, Elasmotherium, Sarkastodon, Doedicurus, Kelenken, Phorusrhacos or even Gigantopithicus. Maybe dodo birds as ambients. As far as maps go, it's amazing how much of a difference little subtle easter eggs make on simple games such as these.
Those would have been excellent choices for the animal roster. Given more time, maybe that's what we would've got. Who knows? And yeah, I agree, these games thrive off subtlety. Do it right, and it will reward you immensely. Do it wrong, and it just comes off as boring. Hence, Ice Age.
I agree with the many points you made but I did like it back in 2001 and enjoy the mobile port. The desolate atmosphere and isolated vibe is appealing. I found Ice Age at least on par with Carnivores 2 despite C2 being the better game, pure from an atmosphere point of view. The title screen music fits the game well.
Well, I'm gonna play as a Devil's lawyer, but , about the animal roster in min 5:00, the title of the game it's "ice age", so I think those animals fits well to the game (I know Diatrima was not from the Ice Age) otherwhise, the title would be "Pleistocene age". And, the Whooly Rino where native animals of that age. Anyways, I agree with you in the rest of the video.
I have liked Ice Age because of the fact that I was obsessed with Smilodons when I was younger. I'm 15 now and this game still holds a special place in my heart nonetheless, but there are just certain issues about the game that cannot be fixed. The horrible and skittish AI was my main concern. There were no fun hunting challenges. I knew that I could just mod the game with custom models on the Saga, but I knew it was impossible to rework the AI by myself. I really wish the extra resupply bag and the tenth, mysterious AI slot were a thing in C2. Let me know if you feel the same way!
Totally agree! The Ice Age predator AI was always way too skittish for my taste. I mean, it feels like the wolf is the most aggressive carnivore in the game, which is a shame when your game has Smilodon and Yetis in it.
I feel that Carnivores: Triassic suffers a lot from this AI problem. I love every visual aspect of the mod, but mechanically, the mod is one hell of a flaw, just like the original Ice Age. And that is because everything simply boils down to the quality of the AI. Sometimes I wonder how you add the tenth AI slot in C2, as well as the resupply ship.
I guess it depends on what mode you're playing Triassic. I play it on 3DFX with the Ice Age Aggression patch and the predators are *much* more aggressive. As for the 10th AI and resupply ship in C2, they just require some custom patches. Unfortunately, the 10th AI will be Pachycephalosaurus AI, but it can be modified with an aggression patch.
14:31 Same. I was too big of a pussy to hunt the Brontothery soo my uncle did it. Infact my uncle was the one to introduce me to carnivores. He had a Ipad and heard that I liked dinosaurs soo he installed some dinosaur games and one of them happened to be carnivores
I'm definitively a fan of ice age but I agree there should be more to it from a world building perspective. hunting has long been a fascination and hobby of mine but I also really like archeology so even thought it doesn't plague me as much. I definitely wish more was programed into this game. I actually played carnivores 1 first and then ice age. I've only seen gameplay of carnivores 2. plus I'm not sure what state you live in but I'm an Illinois kid and winter is creepy for sure. by itself and without discoveries. I can see why the Indians in this region believed that the wedingo haunted the woods. my Cherokee blood runs cold on a new moon night when checking my live traps in winter. but since I've taken up trapping to keep pests out of my yard for summer I can definitely say its a similar thrill. though no where as intimidating as a charging dangerous game like brontotherium
That's an awesome story, much respect! I kinda wish I lived in a more... unique, I guess, area just so I could experience some local legends like that.
I didn't play much of the first game. I mostly played 2, I did get Ice Age and boy howdy... I didn't really like it as much. Far North looks rad! I love those hand drawn pictures!!!
I know right? Ice Age was always a little lackluster, especially compared to the first two... Far North is great so far! If you haven't tried it out yet, I highly recommend it!
Saurian I have an idea for you. Since you reviewed all the original games you should make a video talking about what you like and dislike about the carnivores mobile ports.
OK,I'm going to try to guess the animals that will appear in the new Far North mod. Here we go! Leptictidium Moa Bear-dog Macrauchenia Hyenodon Elasmotherium(the woolly unicorn)XD Icthyornis(the gull-like bird above the Elasmotherium) Entelodon(the Terminator hog from Hell) Giant Hyena Terror Bird(possibly Titanis or Kelenken) Cryolophosaurus(Nice crest, buddy!) Andrewsarchus Diprotodon(the giant wombat) Yutyrannus Sivatherium Chalicotherium Megatherium(the Giant Ground Sloth) Hopefully I got most of them right.
Thanks. I'm a little sad and disappointed that the dodo and the thylacine weren't shown in the creature roster. Those two are my favorite extinct animals
I always loved Carnivores Ice Age. Just due to the crazy deaths.
Yeah there were many more death animations
The death animations are admittedly very well made and unique, I really like the deaths tbh
Me too alongside carnivores 2
ST: "But Ice Age features no Dinosaurs."
Diatryma: "HEY!"
lmao for some reason, I found that absolutely hilarious. Hats off to you, Saurian.
The Archaeopteryx should also be taking offense, but I guess ambient animals don't count.
How about yutyrannus if it was discovered when the game was made???

"... and in my opinion, lackluster finale to the original Action Forms trilogy."
I could just see the tear forming in that Brontothere's eye.
*tear freezes instantly*
TheGCritic The official scientific name for the junior synonim "Brontotherium" is Megacerops.
Marko Sofranić who asked
Also this isn’t even a megacerops, in carnivores it’s called a brontoteriy.

The long-awaited one at best.
Well........If you think Ice Age is that bad, maybe someone could make a remake for it? Add things to the maps, well thought out creatures and enhanced species, maybe?
You sound....really,REALLY mad during this video....like Jesus! I never heard you this mad before!
Saurian Target i have cool mod idea
It's also cursed!
Carnivores Ice Age on mobile was the first game i EVER played
That's awesome. Glad to know I'm not the only one whose first gaming experience was Carnivores.
Can't wait for your Carnivores Cityscape review!!!!
I didn't like how so many of the ice age animals were so skittish and non-aggressive. Sometimes even the bears and smilodons just run away. BORING
Agreed. Honestly, I think the wolf is the most aggressive predator in the game.
Saurian Target good thing the app makes the yeti a monster unlike the t.rex that is far too easy for me the yeti is easily the hardest for me.
Remember, alien or not, they still act like real animals, not movie monsters. Don't except them to have the same aggression as Tyrannosaurus alienus (Except the Yeti).
A giant beast with two horns and tough skin
Runs away because of a naked monkey
If your roar near the Rhinos those things scamper away, like Rhinos tower over you, why was it scared?
Great review, i also agree that carnivores ice age would've been much better if it went for "horror" instead of a generic hunting experience.

Thanks saurian!! I will keep on watching your videos!! As long as you don't retire
I...I'm probably gonna be killed for saying this but........
Carnivores ice age.....Is my favourite game in the series.....

Thanks for sharing! Glad you're excited for the upcoming videos. :)
That's a great story! I always love hearing about all the different childhood Carnivores experiences people had.
I loved Carnivores Ice Age because of its twist, and the Ice Age is one of my favorite Prehistoric times.
12:33 - no smilodon, mammoth and bronto((((
I remember as a kid I always felt safer swimming then wondering in the middle of those frozen forests, Smilodon gave me a HUGE jump scare the first time I saw it lol! XD
Saurian Target: Ice Age features no dinosaurs.
Diatryma/Titanis/Archaeopteryx: *Are we a joke to you?!*
5:03 WRONG
the wolf is supposed to be a Dire Wolf and Bear is a Short-faced bear or short-snouted idk is the largest and most powerful bear ever to live and dear the most powerful dear idk how to spell it.
0:39 what song is that?
7:26 a dyatrima has fallen into the river in crater city
An Ice Age remake gets talked about a lot, but no one's ever acted on it. I'd love to see your attempt if you get around to it!
Hi. Sorry for an extremely late reply...have you started making any progress on ice age game or not?
I’ve already gone on so I’ll probably rattle them off another time, since this is already so long 😅
im one of the first 1000 viewer. Also great job and still keep going and Carnivores Far North Beta 1 is released on my birthday yay :)
That's awesome! Hope it's a fantastically fun birthday present for ya!
Thanks it will be a fun birthday gift and this is also the third comment i've made you've repnded to
hey too many replies but you should some Q&A videos
I was the same. I was creeped out of the game, I played it by myself but if I was scared, I could get so terrified I would leave.
Funny how the Carnivores games have that effect on people.
Saurian Target If I saw a Yeti approaching, I tried to leave as quickly as possible. That’s how terrified I was
7:23 Two things: 1.Lego City? 2.Are you making a crack at how birds technically count as a group of therapod dinosaurs?
Yes and yes!
Hi man, I don't know if you remember me because I haven't been very active on your channel recently, but as always, great video with quality of very big ytbers but for a small one like you ! I enjoy so much your videos, and you have original content !
Hey man, of course I remember you! Perks of being a small channel. xD
Glad you still enjoy the content and are still hanging around! Sometimes I worry people might get bored of my content.
Saurian Target I well never get bored, even if I am only twelve, I am passionate by dinosaurs since I am three and I have played so much the Carnivores games ! So I am very glad that you do such content !
Actually the Deer and Rhino are an extinct animals , the deer is an giant deer named Megaloceros while the Rhino is an Wooly Rhino.
Thanks!!!!
When I was little, I didn’t want to watch BBC’s Walking With Prehistoric Beasts because of the big, hairy mammals. The apes were especially scary.
I love to play Carnivores Ice Age and mods since 2015 on old PC. I am HUGE fan of Carnivores since 2015.
Ice age is my favorite just because it was the first carnivores I played. And yes it always scared the heck out of me as a kid.
4:25 Me when I heard about Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter STEAM port
Same!
So waiting Ice Age Redux!
For some reason, Raveren's Bridge on mobile has snow falling from the sky.
when you realize Saurian isn't ready for Freddy ;)
I'm never ready for Freddy.
Man I would have LOVED a frozen supernatural horror take that culminated in the Yeti being as revered as the Raptor on the other parts of the planet.
i remember when my brother had a dream of that yeti
I forgot how bad that sniper scope was.
Pretty terrible, right?
I agree with the haunted aspect idea fully.
Congrats on 3k subscribers!
Thank you! It's awesome!
There were Dire Wolves during the Ice Age so I am not too harsh on the wolves. Also I am confused if you hate it or like it in thr slightest
nice video as always ! carnivores ice age scared the crap out of me as a kid, my father used to watch me playing and laugh so hard everytime something attacks me xd good days
That's an awesome story! Glad to know I wasn't the only one who was scared by Ice Age as a kid.
it still scares me to this very day xd not that much but getting killed by an animal is an equivalent to a jumpscare from a horror game, thats my brain's thoughts about the game when i was a kiddo
The wild boar should’ve been the entelodon or daedon. The megaloceros was a prehistoric deer that was way bigger than the moose and the wolf should be the dire wolf.
The Wolf is the Dire Wolf.
[Or is it, Idk
Well the map with all the broken trees isn't bad. It's a nice way of hitting at the yeti
Yeah, that is a cool addition!
It was one of my favorite games as a kid, But playing on an OLD school style PC it was next to impossible to play. I wish We Could get a legit Ice age Reboot, I mean sure there was farcry primal, but.
Far Cry Primal was cool (no pun intended), but didn't quite scratch the itch for a new Ice Age-themed game.
TBH when I first heard the rhinos 🦏 sound effects, I thought it was a miniature sawblade sound effect
A hunter has fallen into a river in the Arctic Sector, start the new DinoHunt Transport ship!
Random hunter and his pet Diatryma: HEY!!
Build the Transport ship! And off to the rescue
Prepare the lifeline, save your client and make the rescue
This was one of my favorite games to play as a kid
I got chills from the bionicle mnolg music for the title
Am I watching Saurian Target or Cinema Sins
That's the *real* question here!
Saurian Target btw Great Vids
I ❤ carnivores Ice Age
Hey saurian, i have one question... Could you do 2 challenges when you have time? Also i love this review XD
Glad you enjoyed the review!
I can give them a try! What challenges do you have in mind?
Saurian Target
1. Triassic death
(Carnivores triassic)
Hunt on the battlefield
Hunt every carnivore
*Including the final animal*
Use any 2-3 weapons
Use anything else.
2.Find out what the chasmosaurus did better than the triceratops.
(Flat out, just what features made the chasmosaurus better.).
*One more thing, is the carnivores discord up and running, because i have had a "Back-up" one. If nothing is up yet, can my discord be the main one? And will you do a face reveal?*
*Also, just want to say that I hope your computer works better.
Calling ice age a mod of C2 is an insult to the actual mods
But yeah I agree
Fair lol
At 0:41, Bionicle music?! Anyways, subbed. Keep up the good work!
Welcome aboard! :)
Hi surian target are you going to review far north mod ?
Yes.
Hi
Mr surian don't dislike me but I like carnivores ice age.
Carnivores far north beta 1 has been released I highly recommend giving it a play it is already more interesting than the original ice age tour.
Already given it a play, and I agree, it's WAY better than Ice Age, IMO.
Saurian Target I was stunned with how good the animals look and move honestly they have animations that rival the official animals who ever animated them has some serious talent.
7:25
The mobile port did better, the Yetis call is creepy.
It sounds like a Sasquatch call mixed with a kind of primate. It creeped me out, when I was hunting it at night.
The mobile Yeti calls are great.
I'm gonna start collecting these games, now. Where can I find these games these days?
There are download links to the original games on our Carnivores Saga Discord server (links in description), but all of the mods can be found on ModDB.
@@SaurianTarget Thank you my good sir.:)
I'm with you on the whole mascot suits and churchy cheese robots creepen me out
but not the museums restorations
It's only the mammalian ones that creep me out, I'm fine with reptiles.
im talking about the robots and mascot suits not the museum restorations
Why do mammalian creatures scare you?
0:40
Does anyone know how to run this game on windows 10? I keep trying, but the setup menu won't even pop up. :(
@@pedrocampos691 ??
Is the mobile version coming next?
It was the first carnivores game I played btw xD))
((I was like 7 when i played it
And I mean the mobile version of carnivores dinosaur hunter\\
Next'll be Cityscape, but the mobile ports will be after that!
I never got 3DFX to work. I always played on D3D.
Could you make carnivores far north, polar espansione and jph 3!
Well atleast we have far north right?
#InFarNorthWeTrust
I thought ice age was an expansion of carnivores 2...
Ice Age is good alright
Eh… it’s pretty good
14:31 Same. I was too big of a pussy to hunt the Brontothery soo my uncle did it. Infact my uncle was the one to introduce me to carnivores. He had a Ipad and heard that I liked dinosaurs soo he installed some dinosaur games and one of them happened to be carnivores
Are you going to do a Primal Prey review? That'd be unique.
I will definitely be reviewing Primal Prey.
After I complete it again, of course.
The mobile port of this game is actually Better than the original version. Kinda sad tbh.
Really sad but true
And also, do you think Carnivores on Steam has been cancelled ? I hope not...😔
Well, I dunno about officially "cancelled," but perhaps - in typical Tatem fashion - abandoned...
Saurian Target that's a shame, it was so much hype for finally nothing... Even if it would of cost money I would of got it right away !
Do videos again after holidays!
New video out now!
This is so cool
Nice review
Thank you!
Np. Also should I start making videos on carnivores ice age for psp on my other account "Iguanodon Master" because barely makes videos on those?
Sure! If it's what you want to do, go for it!
Hey Saurian Target, PLZ do a review for Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter HD and Carnivores Ice Age (mobile)!
I will be reviewing them soon!
thx by the way im a big fan of your channel!
Saurian I have an idea for you. Since you reviewed all the original games you should make a video talking about what you like and dislike about the carnivores mobile ports.
I will be reviewing the Carnivores mobile ports soon!
Saurian Target oh cool! Can’t wait the next chilling video.
OK,I'm going to try to guess the animals that will appear in the new Far North mod.
Here we go!
Leptictidium
Moa
Bear-dog
Macrauchenia
Hyenodon
Elasmotherium(the woolly unicorn)XD
Icthyornis(the gull-like bird above the Elasmotherium)
Entelodon(the Terminator hog from Hell)
Giant Hyena
Terror Bird(possibly Titanis or Kelenken)
Cryolophosaurus(Nice crest,buddy!)
Andrewsarchus
Diprotodon(the giant wombat)
Yutyrannus
Sivatherium
Chalicotherium
Megatherium(the Giant Ground Sloth)
Hopefully I got most of them right.
Wow, you came *REALLY* close! Great guesses!
Thanks. I'm a little sad and disappointed that the dodo and the thylacine weren't shown in the creature roster. Those two are my favorite extinct animals
Well, I can't say much for the thylacine (unfortunately), but I do believe the dodo will be making an appearance soon!
Great! Can't wait to see it!
So awesome.
