  • One of our Weekly Kayak Fishing Adventure in Scotland , Loch Etive .Winter Kayaking is fascinating taking us in remote Scenic Scotland .Notice the ling fish was virtually dead on arrival . Fishing in extremely deep water cause the fish swim bladder to come out .Difficult unfortunately to release this fish alive .On the day other fish like Spurdog,Pollack ,Cod and whiting were caught and released free .

      +Nicolas Valentin Yes, unfortunately once the swim bladder pops out, the chances of a full recovery are slim to none.

    Best to just knock it on the head, take it home, eat it and enjoy. That fish would not survive a release and would just end up seal food :( Ling is better than haddock any day in my book. Great video

    Nice tranquil video in a beautiful place. I have caught and released , I hope successfully, ling by lightly poping the swim bladder with the point of a very sharp filliting knife so they can swim back to the depths.

      I do catch and release and enjoy watching fish going back . This one had no chance of survival from 250 ft . It was basically dead on arrival .

    • @NicolasValentinScotland
      @NicolasValentinScotland  5 лет назад +1

      Always bait your hooks or hokki with either mackerel , fresh is the best , or king prawns , buy the raw one ,unkooked . send your bait right down to the bottom and stay at the same spot , either anchored or tied onto buoys ,or fish farm . stay in the same spot for at least 1/2 hours . make sure the bait is good ,that way you will attract the fish . use 6oz lead in deep water . that place is really deep . Easy
