Great video. It’s a shame we don’t cod very often over here. The only chance of catching them is one of the wrecks but still then slim chances and they are so far away. Tight lines
Thanks very much, I love a cod but I wish we had tope and smooth hound. And I really wish we had more bass! Would certainly save me a few quid in petrol! 😂
Alright buddy great vid. Ave been fishing of the rocks in Scotland for a good few years, Am know wanting to get a decent fishing pedal kayak what would you suggest.
Hi Andrew, glad you’re enjoying the content. Not long after this vid I bought a Galaxy Srurgeon FX. It’s basically the pedal version of the yak in this one and I like it a lot. There’s lots of vids of me using it on the channel plus an unboxing/set up. Hope that helps 👍
Great video, Ive just started fishing out of amble but the water hasn’t been very clear lately, do you ever go around Coquet island? only had a few coalies so far.
Cracking video mate, the wifes starting up making soft lures and ( sshhh ) minnows so ill pass a few onto you and tell us what you think when the molds turn up if there any good
Hi, I’m usually aiming for 15-20 metres of water (45/60ft) at Beadnell. I mix it up. Sometimes I just tap the lure on the bottom and sometimes I cast away from the kayak if the drift is slow.
@@onthedropfishing Many thanks brilliant fishing i got all the gear drogue anchor etc using lures looks very productive im thinking the lures need to be quite heavy to get them to the bottom i will give it go cheers again

Thanks for the reply mate I go fishing off the shore but I would love to go in a kyak but am disabled but all being all I go off the shore . I love flattie bashing off the lowlight sands and the Quay Wall in shields. I've got hods of rods and reels . Wor lass gans crackers for the amount of gear I've got . Well I might see yer knocking about some time . Take care From Keith
Great vid m8, i'm very new to fishing/kayak fishing. i've been out a few times but stayed close to the rocky shore as i thought structure is the best place to fish but it is very tricky fighting the current and snags. can you give me any advice about fish habits away from shore which might help me to drift fish like ur doing.
I don’t know the area unfortunately but I tend to look for between 12-20 meters of water over rocky/rough ground and let the tide do the rest. A drogue is important to stop the wind wizzing you along too quick
@@onthedropfishing I know loads of places like that, I wasn't sure what depths I need to go but 12-20ft sounds good. I use a drogue and awaiting for the delivery of my anchor set up but I'll remember ur input and see if it helps. Thank You.
oh and if you ever get the chance to fish the Northwest of northern ireland, do it. The scenery is lovely and the waters are crystal clear, you would have a ball:)
hi love the videos, but i was wondering if you could help me, im new to kayak fishing in the sea, and i am looking for a vhs radio but im not sure what to buy. david
Hi David, I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel. You need a waterproof, floating and flashing VHF. There are loads out there, ideally you want one that vibrates the water out of the mic when it’s wet as otherwise it’s hard to call for help when you fall in. I have a Standard Horizon HX300E myself. It’s great but if I upgrade I’ll get the same again but with DSC as well (that’s a kind of digital ID so the coastguard know who you are as soon as you call in) Hope that helps 👍🎣
I always wanted to try kayak fishing never got the chance to do it the water is very rough here and I am a young kid I do a RUclips channel for fishing but I do it in my aluminum boat when I go bass fishing from shore I recently caught my PB best and it was over 100 cm you should go check it out I love your content please keep posting😊

Watched the video really enjoyed it . Bought a kayak myself and you’ve certainly wetted my appetite to get out on it 👍👍👍
You’re gonna love it. After you’ve sorted all your safety equipment I’d suggest you get a fish finder with gps. Structure is key. Tight lines mate 👍🎣👍

Some lovely fish there Chris keep them coming mate.
Thanks Keith, good to see them coming in in numbers at last. It’s been an odd start to the season.

Is that a dry suit or a floatation suit you are wearing?
It’s a drysuit Jock, you’d never get back on in a floatation suit if you tipped as they absorb so much water they become very heavy 👍
