- Love is so much more than some random, euphoric feeling. And real love isn't always fluffy, cute, and cuddly. More often than not, real love has its sleeves rolled up, dirt smeared on its arms, and sweat dripping down its forehead.
Real love asks us to do difficult things - to forgive one another, to support each other, to comfort and care for each other - through some of the most difficult times of our lives. Falling in love is falling into all the wonder and the pain that life has in store for us. Falling in love is one of the most wonderful journeys we can make.

I love how guests featured on this channel live such simplistic and humble lives, and yet they seem to be the happiest and wisest people on this planet. In their messages, almost all of them include Love and Gratitude….. it’s like a theme…. Never do they ever talk about materialistic things we’ve been conditioned by society to chase after, thinking they’ll bring us happiness. Just an observation… As always beautiful video!✨
Too true , what you say . I noticed that too ... But I noticed also that each and everyone of them has a nice house to live in ! With space enough around them , and a garden , or a nice view of the sea , like this man ! No wonder they are happy and content . Who wouldn't be ? ... It's a bit of a different story if you live in a crowded city , like so many millions do ! Then , it becomes a REAL challenge to find one's happiness . Good luck , to all of us like that.
The guy is obviously loaded with money, super intelligent and has many options in life. No wonder he's happy. He's a Swiss and living next to the beach, FGS.

But that's the point... We don't have the courage to leave the city for the countryside. Many countryside places are cheaper. Real estate , daily cost of living is much cheaper. But yes. Perhaps opportunities are fewer than the cities.
I wasted a lot of time and stayed in a state of depression trying to forget what I could not change. I lost a lot of time and I cant get that back. Dont let your mistakes make you so sad that you dont live!

"Dying is easy...let's not rush it". Not always. I watched my Dad suffer from dementia and his death was a slow and protracted death, taking 8 years in an aged care home. Anyone who has witnessed a loved one suffer with dementia knows that it steals everything from a person - all of ones physical capabilities. Things that we often do not even consider - the ability to chew, to swallow, to feel thirsty, to feel hungry, to form words, to speak. It's most heinous act, the stealing of memories of a life lived - of family and friends, of knowledge and wisdom acquired. Watching Dad lose the ability to walk, seeing his once muscular body become skin and bones, hearing him cry out in pain when nursing staff gently changed his soiled nappy or adjusted his sitting/sleeping position, watching him struggle to swallow and breathe and much more. For my beloved Dad, dying was not easy. I wish that it was. That he had died earlier than what he did. Not because I didn't love him, but because watching him die slowly as the dementia ravaged his body, watching him struggle and in pain for 8 long years was gut-wrenching and heart-breaking. Dad passed away before Christmas 2020. He was 87. I miss him but he is no longer in pain.

What a wonderful, beautiful, inspiring man. My husband has gone now and I don’t have long but I have discovered opera. To listen to that is enthralling. I wish my husband was here to share it with me. I believe in passion. Books, gardening, art, antiques. Walking in the country. These have been passions I shared with my beloved one. Now I am in bed, alone it is lovely to hear this gentleman so much older than me still filled with joy. Bless him.

My favourite by a long way is Monserrat Caballe - a voice so beautiful it is indescribable, Then I love the very young tenor Jonathon Antoine - lovely voice and an amazingly beautiful, humble, kind person as well. And the lively, joyful, funny Mexican tenor Ronaldo Villazon - also a beautiful voice and a beautiful person. The very best to you on your journey Carol and much love to you.

I would hear snippets of the music trough various films and asked my cook who plays the piano and she thought that was what it was. I have one saved. Everyone in beautiful costume. Just by accident watched two films last night. The Upside andSecond time around. So enjoyed them too. I’m nearly eighty so probably a bit late sadly to learn names. But it can just fill your heart can’t it.!.

You are really right.Even in less developped (more traditional i mean) countries the older ones are neglected. But they are especially the chance for their grandchildren.Every child should have an opportunity to share a lot of time with their grandparents even live with them as a big family. Such enrichening moments are not to be missed.
In a state channel TRT there is a programme on older peoples lives "Omur Dedigin" since a couple of years.I cant get enough to watch it .You can observe even less educated peoples comments on life are how philosophic that even any writer could express it in such perfect phrase.
We should recpect to each others.
Getting older has been my greatest gift. I have stopped rushing and simple things like trimming trees then composting there leaves and using there branches for fuel.Thank you
My 4 year old taught me what time is and love. She would go into nursery in absolute excitement proclaiming she had another day to live. What her simple words taught me is that she lived in awe of each moment. Rather like this kind man. He values his seconds , minutes. What an incredible life time when we value each and every day . So beautiful this man is. He literally touched my soul. I only wish that I could find love like what he talks about. I sometimes wonder if love like that is out there? I thought I had love like that in my last marriage, but after listening to this man, I now know that what I had was nothing. The way my ex used to talk to me, I'm ashamed for allowing him to talk to me the way he did and I stayed!! I only pray that before I die, I can experience the kind of love that he talks about.

A beautiful man that exudes love…watching this I was reminded of a story…someone I know went to a retreat where the men were lined up on one side and their spouses in another. When it was their turn they needed to state three things that they loved about their mates but they could not repeat what was said by any others. When it got around to the last man who was Indian, he said, “my wife is my complement and my supplement,”

Oh my - such heart and passion! Phillip is so full of life, a true inspiration to stay open and curious. GR - I'm in complete awe of your editing. Stunning. Everything - the people you find, the masterful camerawork, the music. I know I've said so many times that your films are like medicine, but I have to say it again because the way I feel before verses after watching your films is significantly different. I'm begin rushing through my normal life, stop a second to click on your film and as I watch, I can feel myself slow down and shift to being present in the moment. Afterwards, I simply don't return to my former state. My breathing is slower, shoulders relaxed and I'm paying attention to life differently. Sorry to make this about me but I have to speak to the power your films have not only to open the heart, mind and lift the spirit, but to shift the way I live my life. Thank you.

I am in tears...
I watch such vidoes for relaxation and resetting of my brain whenever I feel drained.. also after doing intense work or before making hard decisions.
It is rejuvenating! It just reminds me of what I have forgotten. It was me before. I was like this before.. when did I fall from grace? When did I lose connection with my self.. how far back to walk to reach myself again...
or maybe.. I shouldn't walk at all but stand still. And breathe. And realise that I am here - with me, by myself.
Steadiness of time, I want time to stop. Not that I want to die. Not that I want to live long. I just want time to not-exist for me. I don't want to be concerned about time.
Strange.. he says he is obsessed with time, yet he isnt. He is perfectly relaxed in his being with lapse of time unbothered. How objective obsession is that! I want to feel the essence of it.

I too am older, I find myself comfortable in navigating the life I have left. I have experienced much so I am bothered less about things in life compared to others. By the time you get older you’ve experienced so much it’s less frightening and uncertain and you have the thoughts and time to notice a lot of the good around you. “Let it go, fix what is fixable and leave be what you can’t”

I had the great privilege of meeting Mr. Philipp Wagner in his home in Rooi Els last year in the end of July. He was a friend of my grandparents there and would gift them desserts he made. I visited him over the course of a few days there, and he showed me his scientific studies and observations, his many clocks and contraptions, and expounded his contemplations and ideas to me. He handed to me two copies of his books, one a biography on his life, the other on his own work in practical physics, and signed both books for me, along with a card with his contact information, that I may write to him in the future.
Philipp Wagner died four days ago, on the 30th of April this year. I never found the time to complete reading his books and contact him before then. I had waited too long due to exams and studying and work in my final year of school, and now I write this on my final day of school. I'm filled with regret for it. I wish I'd acted sooner.
Thank you very much, Mr. Wagner, for your conversations and the time you dedicated to me. The very same time that fascinated and occupied your loving mind in your unraveling of its mysteries.
