Thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of the ladies who lost their lives. Haven't experienced a storm like this since about 2000. Back then, we were out of power for 8 days the first year we moved into this house, and 5 days the next year. Puget Sound Energy pays a tree service to come thru every couple of years and clear branches from around the lines. Thanks to a fireplace, flash lights, & growing up in a rural area, we were fine for our recent 2 day outage. Thanks PSE. PS. About 3 years ago, we had a tree service come thru and evaluate several trees that had splits or looked like they might be dying. Due to cost, we had the most urgent removed 1st and follow up on several others after. Several of my neighbors followed suit and I think thanks to everyone, once the PSE cleared the main lines we were back in service fast. It can't be said often enough. "Don't be scared, be prepared"
@@N-oe347 who invented this term? It has only been used for a couple years, extreme storm, damaging winds, intense pressure drop. There are so many other descriptive terms for a quickly falling Barometer. I bet you don't even know what a Barometer actually is.
Please please leave the family alone; they are devastated beyond words over their loss and desperately need privacy.

When are we getting power restored? No power for two days, this is crazy.
Fr but at least be glad your safe and not under a tree like this unfortunate lady was
I live a few blocks away from Bridle Trails in Grasslawn Park
Omg too privileged!!!! People in APPALACHIA WERE BURIED ALIVE and hundreds of families living in TENTS IN THE DEAD OF WINTER.
Good attitudes ❤
…….get a “winter house” in the sunny, beautiful Southwest!! 🤷🏼♂️
Looking at the map at 3:34 on the middle of Seattle, it should have powers the rest that’s covered in red, no power
That's Puget Sound Energy's map. Seattle city proper is electrified by Seattle Public Utilities. The PSE map wouldn't show SPU'S outages.
Holy moly
quit calling it a "Bomb cycle" There has to be a different name.
Stop being a coward. Stop demanding we change words just because they scare you.
We don't need to change words because you don't like them
