Batman Forever (1995)
Director: Joel Schumacher
Production Companies
Warner Bros.
PolyGram Filmed Entertainment (produced in association with) (as PolyGram Pictures) Кино
I think Chris O'Donnel was the inspiration for Tim Drake's Robin design in Batman Arkham Knight, always disappointed that we never get to play as Robin that much.
CynderSpirit Dragon it was the other way around
Nah that robin is like jason todd
shchumacher screwed it up
I agree. Both Robins look very similar right down to the buzzcut
This movie came out in the 95 nobody knew who Tim Drake was then
Say what you want but Val Killmer has the best fight scenes of the 90's batman
Keatons are arguably just as good... Kilmers fight scenes we're more fun, dance scene vibe, disco lights everytime.. but not better choreographed... they literally copy some of Keatons scenes, but do it worse... Like when thug does all special moves to indimidate, and keaton just takes him out with one move comically.... Kilmer does same thing in club scene, but it's not as effective. Keatons fight scenes were better, they were more brutal, scarier, more threatening, more badass... in my opinion of course... Kilmers were just funner, more colorful, crazy camera angles.
He's my favorite Batman to this day tbh ... don't mean to offend the fans of others tho
@@eTORtaCHito You can't offend fans of others by simply stating your favorite Batman is Kilmer.... if that offends them, then they're assholes.
I can completely understand why Kilmer is your favorite.
but the best fight of the 89-97 saga is still "Batman vs AfroAmerican henchman on top of the cathedral" (1989)
Val should have got a second film for me
I agree, but with a better director instead. George Clooney as Batman was George bringing everyone back to the 60's Batman that we got so used to being farther away from that it couldn't work anymore continuing the saga that started with Michael Keaton.
Nah Clooney could have been good in the right situation
And same with Val he was horrible too
True
He totally should’ve gotten a 2nd movie!!?
Chris O'Donnell was perfect for the part
Perfect person for the role
Perfect cast at the time.
Yes!! Chris O Donnell did great!!!
@@wickedddddddd absolutely! Too bad the movies ruined it
The sound track to the movies are the best
That wasnt a Nightwing costume in the movie . What is this guy talking about
mysterybat35 no idea
mysterybat35 he doesn't know what he's talking about.
he says that with a batman forever poster behind him...
right but if he is saying that and behind him is the batman forever poster, surely then he thought he was talking about batman forever and not bandr
This robin was more of a douchebag and awfully disrespectful. Should have swapped "R" with "D" instead.
val kilmer is killing it as bruce wayne n batman
Chris o donnell perfect casting as robin
And Nightwing 😢😢😢
I'm pretty sure that in another universe, Chris O'Donnell would be the 'definitive' Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing. Even I thought that he did a fine job as Robin. But if the Batman films were made the 'proper' way, I don't think that Chris O'Donnell would have been cast as Robin.
Too bad CW sucks! They would have done a bad job to bring up Chris O Donnell in Crisis of the Earth. Fuck CW! Seriously.
Why does she make it sound like reading the comics was an incredible idea
Agree. Its the obvious Idea, not a Genius idea
1995 logic
Man chris o Donnell is a very underrated actor
People forget the Bat-nipples were actually first introduced in Forever
It kinda works with the aesthetic though in this movie. Like you can tell they were going for very greek statue esque designs and it doesn't look that bad.
In Batman & Robin its absolutely atrocious because of the fetishizing it does in that movie
No we dont/
What are you talking about the internet is constantly reminding us of that.
He means the people critic B&R for that but never mentionet the Batnipples was in BF before.
One day I hope Chris O'Donnell returns with Michael Keaton for a project involving the DC multiverse.
Yes!
Chris O’Donnell is so attractive.
Well... He had the nightwing outfit in Batman And Robin... But that's Tim drakes suit in forever
Chris is perfect... he looked young as Robin and have rebellious tendency, imagine casting someone who hasn't been up to Val's character. It creating the intense throughout the entire movie. The circus scenes really put an impact, it's brilliant
Augh Bable Dick wasn’t rebellious as Robin though
This Robin had more of Jason Todd’s personality
Chris O’donnell played a great robin
Happy 25th Birthday Batman Forever.
1995 - 2020.
25 Years Of Batman Family Fun Action Adventure And Excitement. X
Robin deserves his own spin off movie starring the gorgeous Chris O' Donnell.
Gorgeous! Chris O'Donnell kicks ass and such a Babe!
Say what you will about the Schumacher films, but the suits were baaaad man (in a good way) they are *STILL* really cool looking
do bi besides the nipples, yes they were amazing.
do bi
Ikr! I’m obsessed with the riddler costume.
Iam Notarobot Really I Love The Sonar Suit
Especially the last suit before the big fight
@@fatsmcgee8923 the nipples aren't a big deal its just fashionable to blow them out of proportion
great creating robin - batman forever 1995 film - behind the scenes !!!
The greatest d c superhero sidekick of all time
Best live action robin
Batman Forever is a Great Movie
I agree, it's my favourite Batman movie of all time
😊all time favorite
Is Robin's suit in "Batman & Robin" supposed to be Nightwing, or leading towards it? Otherwise why did they change the suit between Batman Forever and Batman & Robin??
Chris 😍
I wish Val Kilmer was in Batman and Robin Instead of Clooney
😍🦇😍🦇😍👌
I don't get it. The Nightwing costume was used in Batman and Robin. Why say it was the template for the Robin costume in Batman Forever??? It clearly wasn't!!
Indeed
The guy erred, the costume in Batman Forever was a replica of the comic book outfit for Robin, as you know.
I want to write that my name is Josh Tate and I'm writing that i really liked Batman Forever. i really believed that it was a great Batman film. I also want to write that the year 2024 will also be Batman's 85th anniversary year too.

2020 Watching❓🤔
??
The fact Chris O’Donnell was suppose to be playing a teenager still baffles my mind .. the guy looked 35 lol
He was 24 at the time.
I remember they were originally going to have Robin in the first one back in 1989, and have it where The Joker kills his parents. What would've made that bland is according to that storyline, Joker had killed Bruce's parents years earlier, and the story always had it where their parents were killed by separate assailants. Having a storyline where both Bruce and Dick lost their parents to the same killer would've just made it too different. I mean, yeah, Joker and Two-Face did not kill their parents in other versions of the story, but changing it up to that is good enough without ruining it.
Wow this was the coolest feeling being a kid when this movie was coming out.... born in 89... I was die hard fan growing up... and when this came out it was everything. Batman, and Batman returns were still my favorite.. but this one was the funnest.
Michael Keaton should have stayed, although I love Kilmer in this film, Keaton was my favorite, and better... and would have felt better with the first 2... I also wanted to see him with robin, Chris Odonnell Robin
Michelle Pfeifer should have stayed, instead of replacing her with Dr. Chase Meridian Nicole Kidman, he was in love with Catwoman, she lived, she would have returned, she loved him.. felt so wrong. Even though I loved Nicole Kidman in the part... Michelle Pfiefer was way better, one of best female performances ever.. obviously she would have been better... plus she's cat woman, Batman true love. Should have had Batman keep thinking he's seeing her through the film in the shadows, just like end of returns... to then realize she's alive, and doesn't want to be with him... to the end they're happily ever after.
And Tommy Lee Jones should have played a serious Harvey Dent/Two-FAce not the Joker two face.... He has the acting chops to do it... you see him on TV in the movie as Harvey he would have been great being serious... with scary, ugly burn, instead of glowing pink make up lol.
Would have been such an amazing trilogy... with the ending he has to pick Selina, or Dick with Riddler trap dropping to the rocks below... with two face scary flipping the coin at the end to his death, you can tell he could have played him terrifyingly, but they cartooned him up for kids to love it, and not be afraid.... My god, how much better my child hood would have been. It HANDS DOWN would have been my favorite film of the 3.
Also born in 89 grew up with Keaton's Batman and Batman the animated series which were both great but the George clooney and valkilmer versions sucked
Chris is right at the end, Tim Burton wanted Marlan Wayans I believe as Robin in the Batman films.
I don't believe that, Marlon Wayans was never considered nor convincing. Chris O' Donnell done a terrific job as Dick Grayson/ Robin.
He the best and only GOOD robin
Joseph Gordon Levitt was good too when he played Robin in The Dark Knight Rises and we got an incorporation off all 3 Robins
@@danielcastro8216 technically he is not robin
I think that Joel Schumacher understood what Batman and Robin was about but he decided to go in a rather goofy direction and that was the "problem"
Blame WB. Not him
I'm not a fan of Val Kilmer or George Clooney as Batman, but Chris O'Donnell played the Robin part well in both movies.
But they made a fool of Chris O'Donnell in Batman & Robin and Val Kilmer to me is not a bad Batman, just Clooney himself was very bad.
1:49 😈😅
Chris O Donnell Robin Aaron
he was the obvious choice because there wasn´t another young actor, with such fame at that moment to fill Robin's suit
1:53 umm I’m waiting 😅😎
No behind the scenes footage, just interviews, might want to retitle this.
This movie isn’t that bad in my opinion I enjoyed it but not the best of the best
What dose he mean the nightwing costume is not what he wears in the movie it’s a robin suit
Kilmer was the best Batman. Fight me.
Dick:Whenever You Go Out At Night I'll Be Watching And Wherever Batman Goes I'm Gonna Be Right Beside Him I Mean How Are You Gonna Stop Me?
I kinda wish he didn’t have such short hair for these movies.
maybe they should have gotten a man to direct this movie.
0:44 I think chris should have had that hair instead of that weird buzz cut in the movie
That was years later i think.
The buzz cut hair and pointed sideburns suits him
My friend's dad met Chris O'Donnell and said he was kind of a dick. i think he was having a bad day.
Now as for Batman Forever, sure, it wasn't as good as the 1989 Batman and 1992 Batman Returns. But it was still good, and still had a good plot to it, watchable enough. Batman and Robin was a disappointment. Sure, some of the scenes with Mr. Freeze were pretty good, but it was like they recycled the Forever plot sequences and just threw in different dialogue and other little things.
I've thought this for years, but Denny O'Neil at the start just looks so... Dismissive with regards to Robin.
Jim Starlin wrote Death in the Family.
@@roccoborghetti4693 He did too, didn't he? 😆 Apologies. Still, O'Neil looks dismissive of Robin.
I just wish they would’ve drawn pants on him.
They never bought Robin back due the flop
I think Chris did a good job but the whole script was terrible, and costume. If Tim Burton continued the sequal it would of been amazing
christian bale is the best batman for me he do a very perfect interpretation and i think is the best music theme of all time
Wrong Akiva!!! He wears the new Robin costume in Forever. He wears the Nightwing costume in Batman & Robin!!
I thought they did a great job with the Robin suit in this one. Other than that. This movie is a piece of shit.
With so many superhero movies now, and too much reliance on CGI, the raw-flavour of comic book style superhero movies or superhero movies in general has been lost. It's no longer exciting to see superhero movies anymore if they are being released by the dozen every year on series' and movies, and that too in mediocre quality with mediocre or incompetent casting. Just loses the flavour.
this movie is shit but I still like that robin costume
SCHUMACHER MAKE HIS VERSION GAY OF BATMAN....
God I watched the hell out of these when I was younger but these movies were such shit... And the interviews are full of it too. 😂 Chris O Donnell was terrible, Kilmer was worse, just gaaaaahd.
I just enter to click down, that movie sucks!! I really hate the "hey everybody, im here" batmovile, criminals can se that shit from a mile away.
'Chris O'Donnell was believable as Robin'....even when he used kung-fu moves to hang up his wet laundry? ESPECIALLY when he used kung-fu moves to hang up his wet laundry. What a crock of shit this film was.
Lol. To hear all these writers talk about inspiration and depth in the one of the shallowest, worst written films of all time. It killed the Batman franchise and set us up for... wait for it... George Clooney as Batman. Sigh.
worst casting worst acting worst batman and robin worst writers worst producer worst vehicles worst set worst costume and designers worst make up.
dam this list will go till 2030
This one was worse than the one that came out after it in '97, Batman and Robin?
