US Navy Norfolk Naval Base - 5-16-24

US Navy Norfolk recently took delivery of this new mobile dive truck. Built on a Freightliner MT-55 forward control chassis, the vehicle features an all aluminum body. LED light poles are also included as well as dual tripod lights which are housed within the interior. Entry into the vehicle is by streetside or rear entry doors. We included a custom fabricated flip down step on the rear bumper for entry assist. Extreme Duty body storage compartments were also integrated into the body. A large roll up compartment houses umbilicals and dive tanks. There is a pull out step for easier access. We also installed a generous exterior awning on the streetside. The truck is also equipped with a rear hitch.
The work area has banks of bench height Vidmar cabinets with butcher block work top. There is also a machinist's vise. Custom aluminum cabinets have also been included with undercabinet lighting. There is a small galley with microwave and refrigerator. Adjustable aluminum box pan shelves have been included for gear storage and cargo mesh netting to secure during transport. Dual rooftop A/C units have been installed with wall thermostat. A commercial quiet generator supplies plenty of electric power to the vehicle.
