It’s so nice that you’re giving support to Rachel! She really has been going through a hard time and it’s nice for someone like u to point it out and bring other ppl to support her.
Amazing work on the paludarium, I love it, especially the continuity of terrestrial/aquatic plants, the cool toned lava rock, and the filter output over the rocks. Beautiful and certainly inspirational!
Both of your voice tones come across so calmly- its very relaxing along with the background noise. I've watched this video at least 50 times over and over before I go to bed. I thank you so much for posting.
That's a beautiful paludarium, I'm really starting to shift my interests from aquariums towards paludariums, because I like the idea of a more complete ecosystem, as I'm all about replicating nature in a controlled environment. Great video, as always. Also, Alex is cute.
Alex haha I started with an interest in aquariums, then found out about planted aquariums. The paludariums. Finally been researching and think I'm going to settle for a crafted bioactive bearded dragon vivarium. Absolutely beautiful and a whole ecosystem with a literal dragon as the center piece. Plus they're basically scaly dogs who enjoy interacting.
Beautiful videography, and I can honestly say that is the best paludarium I've ever seen!! I really like how you blurred the line between submersed and emersed plants! Excellent!!
Now this is an example of excellence! The sand does look natural because in many ecosystems, sendimentary rock is worn away to sand leaving only the igneous and metamorphic rock behind as large pieces, often of a contrasting colour. This often creates exactly this sort of stark contrast.
Wow. Just wow. I was planning a large aquarium, but scrapping that and trying this. Love the newts. Amazing work. Wonder if any little frogs would be happy in there as well. Hmmmm
I've subscribed to your channel and have enjoyed watching your well-crafted videos. They provide a unique perspective on aquarium aesthetics. I will admit your voice is very relaxing and has an ASMR quality to it. Keep up the great work.
Wow this is the most well done video and paludarium I’ve ever seen! I’m so impressed, I’ve been looking for content like this since I’m planning on establishing a paludarium. I absolutely love this channel !! ❤️❤️❤️
I would really like to see you do another video with Nick with more info about Paludariums and why he thinks that are easier and what does he mean about them being self-sustaining?
So beautiful. I can imagine what it would be like to have that in my living room. I'd like to see a video of the initial stages of the hardscape. I'd like to know how he contains the soil for the terrestrial plants - are they in pots? Anyway, thanks for posting that fantastic display. BTW, I just found out the Home Depot sells black lava rock for fire pits. $14 for 10lbs.
Great video!! I enjoyed the content, the way you labeled each item, the camera movement. Good job! I just completed my first 55 gallon paladarium and this makes me want to do another one!!
I don't comment to often but That is a beautiful tank and the animals looked happy and well token care of. Just one thinking bothered me about this video. The close up detect eye contact as soon as the video started Lowkey shook my soul😂🤣. Have a grate day.
Alex it was so great meeting you, I'm Danny a saltwater coral guru and the aquatic Experience show opened my eyes to a whole new world of freshwater tanks. Thanks for the photography tips also. 👍 Looking forward to more of your videos.
I love this I wish He talked about water temps to keep all species of animal and plants happy and how he kept the soil from getting soggy or in the water.
So many great ideas. I am new to the hobby and I'm starting slow but my goal is to work toward gaining the knowledge and skills to set up a paludarium. I'm bookmarking this video for future review.
Just wanted to say that the white sand with black lava rock doesn't actually look unnatural to me. In Hawaii there are lots of beaches that have that contrast of white sand and also black lava rocks that jut into the ocean. It looks nice to me!
Oh my that is absolutely beautiful! One of the days I would like a paludarium, they are amazing. I have no idea where to start. Out aquarium / pet store that was in town closed down so we are stuck with a pets mart only.
Check out my article on Paludariums here: www.tanktested.org/aquascapes/2018/9/2/what-is-a-paladarium
How tall is it or what's the gallon size
Hello, how do you do that with the description of the fish?
If this paludarium was live streamed, I would watch the heck out of it.
That could make money
This isn't a Paludarium. This is art.
A masterpiece
I bet Da Vinci couldn't pull this off
+1
Living art
Soooo true
Im in the process of making my second paludarium. Upgrading from a 25 to a 60 gallon, and man I wish I had the talent of all these legends on youtube.
I don't usually leave comments. But this video deserves it.
Can you also share us about the newt? Where did you get that from and how hard is it to care, etc? 2 males work?

Thank you for the support for Rachael and her family.
So beautiful.
How beautiful. This is the coolest paludarium I've ever seen. It's like you're walking in a tropical forest and arrive at a white sandy beach.
