Collingwood's core group of players in the prime 26 to 30 range next year are Houston, Perryman, Schultz, McStay, Lipinski, De Goey, Moore, Maynard, Cameron, McReery, Markov, Frampton and Josh Daicos with Nick Daicos, Quaynor, Hill and Harrison younger. Other promising younger players are McInnes, Allan, Jiath, Ryan, De Mattia, Parker, Steene and Smit. Father son Tom McGuane next year.

North have next to no draft hand and a big interest in Trainor. Expect Richmond to trade for pick 2 and give up maybe 11, 20 and 23. Allows Richmond to take O’Sullivan and Lalor while still taking 5-6 players this draft whilst more than likely trading 24 into a next year 1st rounder. Chad Warner isn't going anywhere, he'll sign with the Swans over the off-season. Remember, his brother is with them. They look after their young players better than any other club.

After Melbourne lost Neil bullen, the correct call was to put the Q in the rack with this crop. All Melbourne needed was another dumb trade like the Grundy trade and we will end up at the bottom four in the blink of an eye. I give it 3 years and we will be a favorite for last position.
And there just isn't enough talent in those 2 years for us to win a GF cos of Neil Bullen has gone.
Therefore, it's like another Grundy trade. Bottom of the ladder here we come:)
The problem with trading a future 1st rounder is. I don't think we are immune from the bottom of the ladder for next year. And if that happens, we have handed over a number 1 draft pick to the Bombers. And if that happens, we get locked in in about three years away. And apparently this is a weak draft list.
I think they would have been better off trading everything else they had for future picks.

There is no way that Houston is a better footballer than Barrass. There's a strong argument that Bolton, Baker and Battle are superior also. Half back flankers grow on trees and Houston isn't great defensively

I disagree ! A few years ago you may of had an argument, but Barrass has a server back injury now and will be lucky to play 3/4 of the season. Houston is one of the leagues best kicks and also has the ability to play multiple positions . Bolton plays well if his team is winning, Baker is ok and Battle 🤣 role player at best.

Houston isn't the greatest defender in the league , not even close, actually he is more of a rebound player than a defender however in comparison to Barrass whom I started now has a back injury he is a better pick.
