    Really enjoyed this Alex! Such a satisfying collection of shots at the end. Comprehensive tips! Two more: if you've got a locker and the bottom is round river rocks it can help with steady forward momentum in the case where a wheel might find a bit of a hole between rocks. And the 300mm depth is smaller than we think - carry a cheap timber school ruler (30cm long) and a permanent marker in the driver door pocket. When wading the crossing to check on foot, measure up your leg and draw a line on your leg, then you can easily see the depth as your wade each part of the crossing. Guess who taught me that one ;) hope you're still finding them. Safe travels.

    Think “Can I Do It”, “Can my vehicle do it?” And the one you hope not to fall back on.. “What if?”
    Perhaps the only other bit of helpful info for T6.1 owners is consider switching off parking sensors (if fitted) and importantly, dig around the infotainment menu for park distance control settings to turn off “manoeuvre braking” which is active between 2-10kph and triggers an emergency stop thinking a forward collision is imminent.
    Not great when you have crossing underway
    Enjoying these 4motion tutorials Alex! Keep ‘em’ coming

      Hahaha. Thanks guys. Yes. What if. The big question. We have created another vid on recovery points that will be coming soon so keep a look out on that one. Keen for ideas on any other content you guys might be interested in to guide us. Many thanks for watching and for your support. Cheers. Alex.

    Hey Buddy, love your videos. Anyway you can do a video on how the off road capabilities are compare to a LC100 ? Clearance etc...

      Thanks mate. Thanks for your kind words. To be frank there is no comparison between our van and an lc100 and that’s coming from someone who owns/nd both. The lc100 is a true 4wd with high and low range and a centre diff and in my opinion one of the most capable off road vehicles. Our vans are great tourers for outback roads, forestry trails, beach and snow driving but they are limited with their ground clearance and the fact they have no property centre diff lock. In effect I think they are chalk and cheese mate. Cheers Alex

    Bit once, twice shy as I sunk the wife’s Tarago a while back. If more than 30 mill will be doing a u-turn 🙃 until at least the breathers are done. 👍👍

      We hear yia Bernard. And being your wife’s care I am sure you are probs still not in the good books.
      Better safe than sorry. It’s more about understanding the limits of the vans we drive and then driving them to the conditions. Let’s hope you don’t drown anything else on purpose. 🤣Cheers. Alex.

    Are you running diff locker in the rear or just 4 motion? Greetings from germany

    Another informative video Alex thanks. DO you recommend a car bra or tarp to be used while crossing if water depth is a little deeper or is that reserved for serious crossings? Thanks in advance

    • @4motionadventures934
      @4motionadventures934  Год назад

      Thanks Vlasi. Good tip. Yes we do recommend a water bra or tarp to be used when taking deep crossings but this of course is generally used for the larger 4wd that cross deeper crossings. Given the wadding depth in the transporters is 300mil we are generally not going to need one and we are generally getting the message out there for what people might do in the 4motion transporters. Still I think it’s worth mentioning and I am glad you brought it up so we can share.
      I might demonstrate using one perhaps the next time we head out of the opportunity presents itself
      Cheers Alex
