I love it! WILAY is a great and funny show. Amanda and Jennie were amazing together, had fantastic chemistry, and are both talented actresses. I would love to see both of them in more roles....
What I Like About You is nowhere near as immature (or predictable) as any of the other sitcoms Dan Schneider has produced, but considering he mistreated Amanda Bynes, Jennie Garth and who knows who else on the set, it's not worth watching any of the show's episodes anymore.
I was obsessed with Big Fat Liar when I was a kid and watched my copy all the time. And because of that this trailer is still ingrained on my brain almost 20 years later 😂
Yeah I’m in a Dan Schneider rabbit hole. I never realized Amanda was only 16 here like what?! All of her love interests/friends who are supposed to be her age are played by actors who are 8+ years older. Meanwhile the comedic premise with the boy next door who she “kisses” in this clip is that she could never have any kind of romance with that kid. He’s only 2 years younger than her - they were both children! But the writers/producers had her acting so grown! It’s so telling of how these predatory adults viewed her and more generally, how media viewed girls and forced children to grow up too soon. Obviously in terms of child actresses but also the kind of message this sent to younger viewers! I was 7 at the time so I could not tell the difference. All I knew was I loved watching Amanda, I could finally watch her without cable, and I was rooting for Holly to end up with Henry. I mean wtaf, I internalized so much toxic gender politics at such a formative age. May she and all the child stars in her cohort find peace and healing because I can’t begin to imagine what it was like.
@@selenazhou7640 That’s Hollywood Liberalism for ya. Normalizing certain behavior through film & television was just one tactic used by libs these past decades in order to make fetishes & deviant behavior socially acceptable, which would then lead to lowering the age of consent. Have you notice all the trans stuff in the media lately? Just more libs declaring that children are old enough to consent. Don’t vote Democrat. (I liked Holly & Henry, too). 😄
