You are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you sir. Seriously the way you explain n show each step in your videos should be a standard for any diy or how to videos. Keep doing what you’re doing my friend 💪🏽💪🏽
To the creator of this vehicle thank you very much. I had to do everything in this video for it to work. I tried replacing just blower motor but ended up the resistor was bad to. I found resistor for $20 on Amazon and blower motor for $40 on Amazon.
Stan, I’ve checked out everything according to your video. I’m not getting power to the resistor. Others have worked on it before me. fuses check out but the two relays that look the same are in backwards from what your video shows. Digits on the opposite end. Can’t imagine that being the issue. Any ideas?
Thank you so much for this video. Just bought a 2011 Impala and have a little bit of minor work to do. This video helped me a shit ton 😂😂. Thank you Brutha.
You are welcome, and I'm glad it helped. This is one of those jobs that can save you a bunch of money if you do it yourself, and I'm all about that. Enjoy the 2011!
Great video. Thank you very much. My son inherited his 09 from grandpa and I had him do most of this. Could NOT get a second screw started on the resistor so it's nice and tight with one! THanks again
Thank You this is mine, I broke the heads off of the plastic pins like you said and now I am trying to install the screws in. I may need to get longer screws self taps and put it in....
Hey Stan! So my air stopped working couple days ago…replaced some antifreeze in reservoir and drove for a bit. Now the fan seems to randomly kick on and off (when on the heat still works great!) any idea if you think it’s maybe a fuse? Or the fan resistor? I know the fan and temperature are still working fine when they kick on, but GETTING it to kick on in first place seems to be the problem?
For those plastic rivets on the resister, I decided to use a Dremel tool with a burr bit. Just grind off the top of the rivet and then breaking things would be less of a risk. My issue is that our Impala had the blower on constantly with the key out of the ignition. It would never shut off. After a resistor change it now “works” and shuts off correctly, but now there’s only low speed, and the fan adjustment knob doesn’t change speeds. 🤬

I was hoping to get by with just replacing the motor and not the resistor, but it wasn't meant to be! But at least I got it fixed and got everything working again like it should. And I saved money doing it myself. Glad you were able to get your parts for a reasonable price. Amazon's great!

@@HowSkills no problem and thank you too
Great video. I was going to pay someone to replace mine but you described it perfectly so I will do it myself.

You literally saved me $181 dollars thank you
Glad to hear it helped! I’m always happy to help somebody save money on car repairs.
I wish all “DYI” videos were as good as yours. Thanks!
Thank you, and I hope what I’m doing is helping some people.

Thank you from iraq

Also having a similar issue
Thank you sir
You’re welcome, and thanks for watching. I hope the video helped you.
@@HowSkills it absolutely did. I'm gonna install mine tomorrow! Thank you!
Thanks bro , ❤❤

What if my trunk doesn’t work either? Could it be the black fuse?

I thought those relays were for the engine cooling fans ?
Need 7/32" or 5.5mm socket. Flat blade screwdriver. Maybe need 1/4" socket. Thx!
What about if the fan stays running when the car is off.
Because it vibrates a little on the side of the blower, I put a new one on but it shakes a little.
My engine fan makes alot of noise to think the blower making it work harder
When I turn on my 2008 I'm getting a clicking noise from behind the vent
It's the actuator
The problem i’m having the blower still running after I turn the control-off
There’s probably a problem with the resistor in that case.
I replaced the resistor today, but still having the same problem
@@curtiscarey580Hmmm…maybe a switch problem then. Strange.
my AC works fine, but my heat doesn't not sure what's wrong
look for a video on Blend door actuators. There's usually 3 on a Impala and switchs it from cold to hot air
Everything used to work until I changed relay
