      I didn't remap the mouse buttons unfortunately. I tried reaching out to the seller for advice and never got a response.
      I did use the Power Toys app to remap the two keys to be various shortcuts (Like tab for coding). But haven't gotten the mouse buttons back.

    I mess with computers. I just finished a desktop last month. for this month, I decided to teach myself how to work on laptops, so I just bought 5. three of which supposedly work. 2 do not. I will make some videos out of them to post, along with the unboxing of my new 32", 244mhz, .1 response, curved screen monitor, that I'm editing now.

      @S-Technology  Год назад

      I've seen small ones for things like Raspberry Pi's, but even those seem too large to fit inside the casing on this mini laptop. Now if the battery stops holding a charge, then it wouldn't need to be portable and that could be interesting.

      Sadly I haven't yet. I have a Bluetooth mouse I bring with it. I tried the BIOS and Power Toys keyboard manager and had no luck so far. The factory/seller remapped the "clear" key to be left mouse & "apps/menu" key to be right mouse. But they don't respond.

      @unixoid Год назад

      @@S-Technology I have made a downgrade on my unit to Windows 10. Made an image of the disk with Linux and made a driver backup with dism in Windows 11. To get back the mouse key functionality in Windows go to the old Control Panel, Ease of Access Center, go into the "Make the mouse easier to use" setting. Check "Turn on Mouse Keys, Apply and go into "Set up Mouse Keys underneath. Switch in the Other settings section, make sure "Use Mouse Keys when NUM LOCK Is" to Off. Now the mouse buttons behave like before after a reinstall.
      This is a very ugly hack from the vendor. I would prefer to somehow map these keys more natively.

      I backed up all the drivers to a USB prior to reinstalling Windows just incase. I don’t remember using it with mine. Did you update all the additional drivers through windows? Update everything that lets you update and then run it again. It seems to take a few checks to find everything.

    "ShitBox9000" - BRILLIANT! ROFL!!!!
    Let me prefix by stating that I love small form-factor PC's. But this unit just seems like an awful lot of work for something that is not entirely functional when working.
    I had an Asus Eee netbook when they first came out (you had one you used as comparison). Cratered it and installed Windows 95 on it, and it worked GREAT until the OS updates made it unusable. Tried putting Ubuntu on it - that worked for a while, but Linux requires (still does) a LOT of intervention.
    I have a MS Surface Go laptop (now) running Win11, but the unit is 18 months old and the updates are starting to push the hardware from acceptable to slow.

    • @S-Technology
      @S-Technology  Год назад

      It’s a good toy to tinker with. But it can’t be a reliable only pc for most people. I did that with the Eee-pc in college but had access to full sized machines at home or at the college.
      Yeah that’s why I ended up getting this little guy. I had a windows tablet that was fine for awhile, but started getting slower and slower with each windows update that rolled out.

      It is okay for light use. But with light internet use (using wifi) and utilizing a Bluetooth mouse you are looking at about 3 hours use. If you can turn those off you can save some battery usage. Games suck the battery up pretty quickly. Minecraft for example, lasts about 1 1/2 hours before the battery saver turns on.
      If you are okay with carrying a decent sized power brick with it (the one it comes with) it might be useful. It's a accessory, not a main PC unfortunately.
