I bet those are more expensive than regular glued fittings. Now for a small Crack like that you can also use a 1/2 pipe which snaps over the Crack. This one also used with glue.

The slip fix has to be fully extended when making any line repair,water hammer will occur if installed incorrectly.

These fittings are at least $3- pc and you can do this fix with four elbows and a piece of PVC for may be $1.20

Sajid Rafique True. However the 4 elbows method would create a substantially higher amount of friction loss.

I just used PVC-lock to repair a 3/4" sprinkler line that was buried under two 1" lines. It worked amazingly! a difficult repair was done in minutes and no leaks (I left it uncovered while I ran my sprinkler lines on and off throughout the day to adjust sprinklers and repair a couple of sprinkler heads just to make sure). I made sure to push all fittings completely in. Thank you so much!

I've found the slide coupling leaks and I wouldn't recommend them for your supply line into your valves. With 3/4 and 1" pipe.
