George pearl yeah that’s true. The main log flumes in the main UK theme parks are no more (Thorpe Alton and pleasure beach) but we still got the rapids rides butttt there’s still log flumes at smaller parks like chessington and Oakwood
2:34 I've been on tiger Rock once when I was younger. I didn't see the massive drop into water and I don't like getting wet. So, I went on it thinking that I'll get splashed a little bit and when we got to the top of the drop I was like "wait we are going done there?". I was not very happy
Could do with a good soaking right now! 🥵 Great video as usual! 👌 I'd probably give Waterfall a spot on this list too for the sheer fear factor from wiping out at the bottom 🤣 it's absolutely terrifying!
Drenched/Hydro is 85 degrees and the drop is roughly 111ft tall. 45ft tall splash. That's what Oakwood advertised on opening anyway. So not as steep as oblivion but feeps very similar because the boat is so heavy and because it's already picked up some speed it drags you down the drop with it. Good pop of airtime as a result. Very impressive scale. Looks huge. Enormous splash. Great big rumble as it plunges. Looks and feels heavy. Tidal Wave has a much more visually interesting splash, interaction with bridge and theme. I love how the water literally "smashes" over the partially covered bridge. It's not as intense a drop as Hydro's though (yeah drenched as a name sounds weird compared to the name it opened with. Hydro: Water's Revenge is way more exciting. Oakwood needs to realise that like The Smiler, you can't try to dodge the topic of incidents simply by changing the name. The Smiler crash is still an obvious conversation you can hear by other people in the queue. But I'm glad they didn't change the name. It still sounds prominent and strong. Clearly matches the sinister government facility hypnosis experiment theme. Hydro sounds like some sort of titan. The ride itself is a titan to look at and ride. Drenched is descriptive of what will happen but it's kind of uninspiring in comparison. Anyway - I rode Valhalla at a time when half the effects weren't on so it's just a ride in the dark with weird echoes of soundtrack and randomness. I'm yet to ride Stormforce 10. But the UK in general hasn't built an enormous world-class water ride since 2002. I don't think they will too as it's not worth investing in a ride that gets people soaked. I was in Islands Of Adventures in March at one point. Americans were like "bit cold for shorts". To us brits March in Orlando feels like a peak summers day in the UK and Jurassic Park purposely was not in full on soak mode like Tidal Wave and Hydro/Drenched does. Remember that the irony is one of Europe's top 5 tallest, steepest and wettest is in Wales of all places. I don't think theme parks in Britain will spend much now because of the economy collapse from Covid19. A coaster, flat or dark ride will likely be chosen over a new water ride. Sucks. I love a mass of water flying into the air. But something that doesn't mean a wet bum on every other ride or in the car/bus/train is more appealing to the majority of visitors.
When I was 8 I went to Thorpe park with my best friend (at the time) who was also 8, I was not tall enough to ride the rides but my friends was I wanted to ride them but he didn’t so we rode flying fish and then tidal wave, I loved tidal wave but he cried...
SamisBoss 75 the time you buy it doesn’t really matter. The year pass is from the first time you visit so if you go on November the first it will be valid on November the first. You might want to double check on that but that was the case when I got some 3 years ago
There's a few editing glitches here and there, apologies!
What UK water ride do you wish you were on right now?? 🤔
It’s ok it’s still 🔥
DigitalDan does falling in the lake next to Thorpe park count as a water ride
I am in Ireland where it's not an oven but I would love to do Valhalla
Probably pirate falls at legoland if it’s not 2 hours
The flying fish! It has nothing to do with water but it’s so amazing it automatically counts.
Flying fish is the UK's best water ride
True
Yh i love the dark ride section too
Agreed
Facts
Probably the best theming on a water ride
My favourite UK water ride is The Smiler...
...when it’s raining 😉
Thorpe park music is a banger can you agree?
Water rides are becoming as rare as 200ft coasters in the UK fr 😂
thanks to merlin

My favourite Water Rides my favourite is Pirate Falls. I also like Tiger Rock, Storm Surge and Tidal Wave. Hoping to try River Raft soon.
Great video man!
Can't wait for you to do Storm Force 10 when you get the chance! Great theming and a proper fun ride! (just don't go at the back!)
Thank you! Cant wait to experience it, looks great 🔥🔥
Your sarcastic humour can carry any video!
Thank you 😂🔥
Key concepts of WW1 : The dreadnoughts
Come on Dan, octonauts is the best water ride, you get more wet from the whale than you do from tidal waves splash smh
Sick video dude but happy birthday! :D
Storm Force 10 is the best water ride in the UK by far imo 😎😎

Thank you haha, and same! Too hot 😂
Waterfall looks amazing, could do with falling off the mat right now 😂😂
Nah nah nah, the spongebob water ride at pleasure beach is obviously the best, no cap.
Great vid as always 👍 Also happy birthday
I went on the Hydro when it had lap restraints and it was terryfying. They changed it to over shoulder harnesses after that girl died.
Love the Thorpe Park music in the background and nice to hear your opinions!
Thank you! Props to IMAscore for the music 🔥🔥
Best water ride definitely monkey swings at chesington you get soaked 👍 also great video as always :)
Thank you, and that is a very unique water ride too (technically) 😂😊
Loggers leap would be the best 😍💯

In the rain...
It was painful
No love for pirate falls best theming in the uk andy childhood 😂
Storm force 10 is amazing tbf 😂
Love Valhalla as it is with effects working and love a water ride with riding roller coasters. Hopefully you’ll get on Drenched.
It's such a good ride! Would love to do Drenched at some point in the future 🔥
Valhalla is so good I went on it wen it was raining so I got even more wet
Swarm has a water effect at the end
2 year old me was once let on the log flume at Chessington, we have a fridge magnet of me getting traumatised.
The log flume at Lego land is surprisingly very good
Once on storm force 10 I was already drenched by the backwards drop, but then I got splashed by a boat coming down the first drop lol
They should really do that cause that would be sick sending boats at the right time another boat goes down the backwards drop double soaker
I was at Thorpe Park today and went front row in stealth
Nice! Hope you had a good time 😊
Same, I was there today and went front row on stealth
Hello There, thank you for producing this, it was very unique. Cheers Peter :-)
No worries, thanks for watching! 😊
P.S. very well edited and great commentary throughout.
@@DigitalDan Hello There, you're welcome. Cheers Peter :-)
Storm Force 10 is my favourite water ride by a long long way
What about Viking voyage at Tayto Park?
Viking river splash is easily the best rapids in the country
I'm hoping Valhalla isn't ruined. I'm really excited to try it.
what about pirate falls? 😂
I object, furry 253 is the best water ride in Venezuela
Venezuela 😭😭😂
Do a vid on the smiler as it is your fav UK ride
Smiler review soon (maybe) 👀👀
Storm surge is by far the best 🤣🤣🤣♥️

Do you recommend I buy a Thorpe Park season pass now or after November because my family want to go
SamisBoss 75 the time you buy it doesn’t really matter. The year pass is from the first time you visit so if you go on November the first it will be valid on November the first. You might want to double check on that but that was the case when I got some 3 years ago
