#IndependenceDayResurgence - Кино
I never in my whole life was so disappointed in a movie, I also would like a part three.
I share your feelings. Let's be honest. We all enjoyed the eye candy of "boom" and some "blast" and "pew pew" with some "pow"
is it true that this movie was really terrible? Aside of nothing having will smith

Nah, the movie flopped so hard it even killed the proposed series.
If your ship has gravity well strong enough to lift things from a planet, then you have enough gravity to change the orbit of the planet into the sun.
You have enough energy to complete destroy to
Yes in this movie I guess you could say the aliens were bad but if they weren’t what were they thinking would happen trying to park that shit on the earth 😂
They don’t care they came for the ball alien and resources anyways
Is that your professional opinion on planetary gravity weapons?

"The ship will touch down over the atlantic!"
"Which part?"
"All of it ma'am" had me dying
The alien could have really won the war just by crashing/landing their mothership and wait for the Earth to recover in millions of years or terraform it
In truth, they only wanted to refuel the ship with the Earth's core.
The planets are just gas stations for them.
Or just using advanced weapons, if they can make a ship that big and have anti gravity stuff they could just shoot a big projectile ( could be a rod of some kind or a propelled rocket )at the earth and make it uninhabitable
All they had to do was chuck one sizeable asteroid of a few km wide another earth, quickly, and then come back to a dead planet in a few years. Not that hard to wipe most humanity.
@@y.saunders7442 That is just dumb to use a planetary core when you have literal stars to refuel from. Plot armor is so dumb.
@@FUBBA Bruh, how's that being a plot armor?
A vessel that big, and with that much mass would disrupt the Earth axis rotation.
yea it really would, even earth would be like “wtf”
More likely is that it would break apart when inside its Roche limit. I guess because it's alien supertech, it wouldn't do that. But a giant rigid body that close to earth would shatter.
The earth is flat. It wouldn't affect it at all.

So I'm a little confused with this, is this scene suppose to show how the ship has like anti-gravity thingies? Or that its so insanely massive that it has its own gravity well?
Looks like everything is being sucked into those blue lights at 1:49 and stopped when they turned off
yes, the ship has it's own noticeable gravity, but the anti-gravity circles that can turn on and off are tractor beams, like those from stereotypical UFOs
Yes
Both probably
I think the blue lights are to help it land, by sucking the ship towards the planet
2:54 I just wondering, that during their trip across the globe from malaysia to england
The petronas twin tower still holding hand during their landing
They are not separated mid flight just awesome
That's siblings bond right there
Well the skybridge that connected between the two towers will brake in mid air anyway because of the gravitational force, just like what happens to the marina bay sands towers, it breaks to pieces BUT still a good concept that the petronas towers remain it’s original position before crashing down on london bridge
It looks comically funny too. Malaysia, a former British colony, is returning to the British

While this movie does have several flaws, I actually like this idea and most of the scene. A ship so massive that it causes shifts in gravity is almost cosmic horror.
That's what's so frustrating about Emmerich. He ruins scenes by adding humor, usually bad humor into scenes that would be genuinely terrifying and could be appreciated for it.
It wasn't the ships size itself causing the gravity to go haywire. If you noticed that one shot looking underneath the ships those circular areas were glowing green above where things were being pulled up and as they turned off everything started falling back down. I was thinking the same thing until I noticed that shot.
That blasted thing nearly takes up a hemisphere.

The ship picked up most of Asia (which has over 4.5 billion people on the continent) and dropped it on Europe (another 750 million), then landed in the Atlantic Ocean displacing so much water that mega-tsunamis flooded most of the East Coast of North America (100+ million), parts of South America & Africa, and what was left of Europe! Lets just say, humans would've been lucky if even half the population of Earth survived just the landing of a 3000 mile wide spacecraft!

Alaska would like a word.
That, and what does Earth even have that aliens would want when the universe is far more abundant with the stuff Earth has. Water? There are plenty of planets with it. Metals? Plenty of space has those too. Maybe there's a case for using a liveable G star conditions after terraforming our planets, but that's not what these aliens are said to be doing. It's not like the aliens would be able to make use of anything organic due to how hazardous the bacteria would be.
Unless they're like the predators from Predator that just mess with other worlds for some cultural or religious reason.

A ship that big that could effect that much gravity would rip away our atmosphere and push the earth off its axis
If the ships gravity was stronger than the Earth's, which it would need to be to rip a city off the surface, it would have to be much more massive than the Earth.

what i find strange, is supposedly humanity was very advanced following the initial 1996 invasion recovery, yet then we see standard 1990's airliners, even some small turboprops. Also why are they not using the same sort of repulsor lift stuff on shipping to do away with the slow clunky bulk carriers. All this uber tech that "exists" and pretty much none of it is actually in use.
Just like real life, the military will hold on to advancements as long as possible.

@@blackleague212 Hardly the funniest thing I've ever said, but I would be inclined to agree that an object that size and shape landing on our planet would either destroy itself or destroy the planet. I know it's a movie and all, but landing the alien mothership would of cracked the planet into pieces and killing all life on Earth in a matter of just seconds. There's just no way a ship of that mass could of landed on a planet that's almost smaller then the ship itself without repercussions lol.
That’s a good name
I approve
The impact of the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs obliterated half of earth, and no animal bigger than a cat could survive on the surfice of the whole planet for years to come. This ship would've incinerated the surface of the planet only by sheer energy dissipated in the atmosphere.
@@DerpEye The meteor was traveling at 120,000 mph or more. This ship was in a controlled landing. It was not rampaging through space at more than 10 Earth diameters an hour.
Smaller than the ship itself?! Not sure what planet you live on. The Earth is a sphere 12,000 miles in diameter. That ship is big, but it is only about 3,000 miles in diameter and it is relatively flat. And it is hollow. The Earth is filled with dense semi-solid fluids and a superfluid molten iron-nickel core. The Earth dwarfs that ship.
@@mycroft16 ?? the asteroid was also comically small compared to this ship, energy isnt just speed, its speed and mass. and this thing has the mass to absolutely destroy the surface of the earth *just by passing close by from gravity*, let alone actually landing and transferring that kinetic energy
i mean realistically, even with they’re tech we would lose like a 100%
no it’s tactics employed that determines who’s better, aliens had numbers of aircraft but the humans fighter design beat them, could also just be plot armor but it seems humans hit their target more often then aliens.
the first movie showed that the fighter jets they had could beat the alien fighters but the fighters that the humans have had no shield. once they disabled the motherships shield emission it caused the others to deactivate the shields they have enabling the fighters to destroy one of the big ships.

They actually got the local police uniform almost correct....until he started speaking with the Mainland China accent. lol
I have no idea why they did not follow the books for this movie. The African warlord guy's role in the Novel is much Bigger than what the film portrayed him as. They could have made a whole damn movie just on that alone. It told what happened between the first movie and second movie. He hunted the aliens who fled from the ship that landed in Africa.
Thats how he learned to slide under them it also told how the harvesters reproduced themselves since they were dying out. The biosuit was an enslaved race that the little creatures took over. They breeded them, then cut them open to crawl inside eons ago.The biosuit creatures lived on a marshy type planet which is why the ship in this movie has a atmosphere inside it.
But we get the modern day no thinking version.

Why does a Harvesting Mothership designed to be this massive when its function was to drill into the planet? Because it feels more like a space station than an actual spaceship. That ship could've been the same size as the Death Star from A New Hope which was five times smaller than the Colony Mothership from the first movie. I know the filmmakers wanted to make something bigger for the sequel, but it doesn't feel big. Also, why does the ship have gravity beams as weapons of mass destruction instead of millions of City Destroyer primary weapons that could target major cities? If it weren't for that logic that defied the laws of physics, that would tear the planet apart, destroying the core, and thus failing the invasion despite that she killed all the natives.
And lift buildings off the ground the ship has to be few times massive as earth if it is it would suck out the atmosphere and kill everyone on the planet.
cause theres alot of planets much bigger than ours out there. was made for them
@@bleachkid4life That still doesn’t help support that argument. Whenever a planet is big, there’s more mass and gravity that would crush the vessel under pressure, if the movie obeyed the laws of physics the writers didn’t give a darn.

Roland Emmerich always knows how to pull a stunt or two
The movies graphics were pretty cool but the actual tactics and time taking. Let me rephrase that it's an unrealistic time period to be able to prepare for an invasion like this. Just like the first movie. In realistic standards we wouldn't survive the first invasion let alone get to the second. It all happened so fast. And it takes time to develop tactics to be able to defend against a high ranking species
Using one of their own ships they had been studying for decades helped even the odds.
@@Leondrius Well yes generally in the first movie in realistic standards we wouldn't have won. We wouldn't know how to use their technology in a short period. Especially if it's advanced and complicated. People keep forgetting that the human mind has limitations to it and there's a good chance that this technology is beyond human comprehension. Not beyond imagination but the advance and highly complicated mathematics. That alone would most likely be millions of years ahead of us. It's not even like switching from sign language from English then Chinese. Something that only their minds can comprehend. We'd be like ants to them and we wouldn't be able to fight back.
@@Leondrius and what do you mean by decades? I'm talking about mainly the first movie. There wouldn't been a second movie. We wouldn't be able to intercept their ships. Don't forget about the advantages of speed and being able to make sharp turns in mid air.
@@multiverse1339 I'm talking about the first movie too. The ship that crash-landed in Area-51 they had for decades. Then when the aliens showed up, all the systems went operational and they were able to use what knowledge they had accumulated about the ship and put it to use and learn even more. Without that, humanity would've gone extinct within a few years.
@@Leondrius yes but let's go back to the deflector Shields hmm. That ship before it was brought down had deflector Shields right? Are 21st century technology wouldn't be able to do anything unless the shields were brought down and even so would take a lot of fire to do damage. But in realistic standards we wouldn't be able to take the shields down unless we were able to intercept their technology and learn it. But lasted I checked it wouldn't take a few months to learn that technology. It would take many many years doing so and understanding the true battle. We would be dead before we actually learned the technology. Thus the aliens would win.
In all honesty, this might be one of the best world-ending scenes I saw. Could be the best.
Too bad the movie itself was so bleh; it's like finding a diamond in a trash heap
Definitely the dumbest...
The sound of the ship's horn sums up this movie entirely.
May all those people who died Rest In Peace.
"They like to get the landmarks."
I really love everything about this movie
0:25 Singapore
2:09 London, england
Mr Negative just chilling in taxi cab, legit
so for some odd reason we still have ice planes and cars even though we have learned to use antigravity devices from the previous alien invasion
Even deathstar from starwars could be easily defeated by this beast lol
I mean the Death Star is a big as a moon while this thing can surround Earth.
@@oblivion9619 Yes so deathstar will do some damage to this beast but will lose
Man r u high? Deathstar would clap this glorified frisbee, if it can destroy a planet it can destroy the alien ship.
@@theonetruejoe312 I don't know about that. The first Death Star was around 160 km in diameter. The ID4 Morhership had a maximum length of 550 km, this one has a diameter of 4,828 km. So the DS is very tiny in comparison, just 3% the size.
Not gonna lie I saw this movie in IMAX when It came out let me tell you it was pretty fckn cool the sound effects they had in the gun fights were an experience.
Best alien invasion movie ever.
It was better the first time when they used 90s human tech like guns, planes and even a nuke instead of stolen alien tech like laser guns and spaceships.
Looking at this movie desperately trying to outdo its already massive predecessor in terms of scale, I can't help but think of this exchange from the flick "Good Burger"
"Make our burgers bigger."
_"Bigger, boss? But they're alread--?_
*"Bigger! BIGGER!!"*
Just like the new Star Wars with "Starkiller Base" or insanly huge ships. If you don't have any clue what to do just redo the old stuff in bigger.
Their reaction to the situation is like it's just another Monday
I mean out of every alien movie that came out invading earth this by far the top 3
I love how the doc how she said that “am not going to leave you ok” just shows even when we are at at a state of emergency people still help each other. 😊
the ship is so big it almost destroyed the entire world just by landing on the planet, WOW.
And now, two years later, we learn how real disasters look like. No aliens needed at all.
Whatever people say, seeing a ship this size is just terrifying.
I'm supprised the planet did not tilt from one side being heavier than the other side with a massive space craft landing on it lmao
