This video shows and lists all known world landmark destruction scenes in movies, from New York's Statue of Liberty, San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, London's Elizabeth Tower, Paris's Eiffel Tower, to Tokyo Tower and Sydney Opera House.
This video not only contains Hollywood films, it also includes Japanese films, low-budget films, animated films, and documentary films as well. TV series and video games are again not counted in this compilation.

Actually, the Statue of Liberty should be the main target as it was destroyed the most with a total of 13 times (the Bridge was only destroyed 12 times, very close).

When GORGO (1961) was first in development, the producers wanted to set the film in Australia. However, they realized that Australia had no interesting monuments to destroy (pre-Sydney Opera House), so they opted for London with its recognizable locales. Great video - and I laughed to see the Eiffel Tower destroy the Arc de Triumph, since the two structures are no where near each other.

One thing I have figured out that I miss in movies that we dont see much at all anymore.... the destruction of the tiny towns and cars, so much thought went into all of that it's insane
