My gf and I were caught in Kyoto for the quarantine in 2020. We ended up staying all summer. Often we tried to beat the sunrise to many of the tourism spots because they would be empty. Usually that mean waking up at 2am. We quickly found out why it's called the land of the rising sun. 😂 These were some great photos that felt natural to the moment and not over done. I appreciate this video a lot.
I’m a big sucker for Japan. The culture, tradition, the people. And as a beginner photographer your channel is EXACTLY everything I need to feel like I’m there in Japan. Your street shots are a perfect view into the normal day life. Keep up the great work ❤
Another amazing one. The commentary, the music and photos of people doing everyday things, just makes me feel so cozy inside. I don't know if this is just because I love street photography but it really moves me. I also bought your presets and enjoying trying them out on a few of my pictures.
Five AM shoot not a frequent YT street photography theme, so kudos for that, Adrien. Music and tempo capture peace of the hour. Favs in this group are pedestrian at 1:57, bikers at 3:07 and 5:09, depth and framing at 5:39. Smooth transition to faster pace of later in the day. Agree, much can be done in early hours - am an early riser myself. Others prefer late hours, night shoots. Markets a photo hot spot. Would expect wholesale fish/produce markets to be busy, even at 5 AM, in Kyoto. No? Pic of guy passed out on street not a fair capture, IMO. Bet that custard cone was good -🍦- fast melting in heat. 😁
Thanks for your comment as always. I had fear about this picture that it could be misinterpreted but the guy was not passed out at all. If you look closely he was doing something in the manhole and it looked so bizarre that I wanted to capture it. I am always avoid taking pictures of people in bad situation but I understand that I should have put a note to explain this one a bit more.
Just found your channel and watched this whole video - I rarely comment but your content is exactly what I've been wanting to find (and learn how to make similar feeling content myself lol). Clean shots, simple narration, super chill music that's not distracting, superb information. Simply documenting and sharing easy to digest content that really puts you in the scenes you shoot. Easiest sub of my life, keep up the great work
Hi Kai, thanks a lot for this nice comment and taking the time to write a long feedback. Really glad you liked the video. I am the happiest man if it can help or inspire you. Once again really appreciated and I hope you will like the next ones.
I wish I could wake at 5 and go out street photographing but I'm too lazy hahaha. Amazing work man, the Arashiyama bamboo forest is actually stunning! super cool place. I love the flow of the video with the music and everything, it is so peaceful and relaxing to see those videos. Keep it up! Watching your videos makes me want to open my own RUclips channel when I'll go there
Setting your alarm, this is all it takes ;) If you convince yourself that it is easy as this you'll make it Thanks for your nice words, keeps me motivated and happy to see that people are resonating with the vibes I want to share through my videos
So beautiful. I also feel a certain fascination and pull towards Japan even tho I’ve never been there. Beautiful photos and video. I recently drove to Italy in the very early morning and the sunrise was the most beautiful one I ever saw. It’s so worth getting up before the sun rises.
Thanks for your comment Jonas. I really hope you can come to Japan in the near future. Indeed, every time I am outside early in the morning I feel so privileged
This country man is something else, heaven for photography.
Waking up early is the silver bullet to a happy and more fulfilling life!

Not exactly a situation we like to be in but if it is in Kyoto it's not that bad right ^^'

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it
More motivated than ever 😃
always love your picture. what the name of coffee shop in your video? where it is?
Thanks! It is called Bogota coffee ;)
Hey. Nice video. Do you mind me asking what camera you used to film the video? Thanks.
Thanks! I used the Sony A7IV for the more quality Broll and the DJI Osmo Action for the POV stuff
Going to Kyoto and Osaka. Any lens recommendations for my Sony A7iii?
Maybe a 35mm or even wider if you feel comfortable with wide field of view and a 50mm ;)
Gorgeous, as always ! Are you using a diffusion filter on this shoot ? If yes, which one is it ? Cheers
Thanks! I didn’t for those but I often use the cinebloom 10%
Hi there, nice video and photos. I'm interested in your present pack. Would I also get dng files? Because I only use lr mobile for editing
Thanks for your comment and for bringing that up. Not yet but within the next 2~3 days they will be updated and have the DNG files ;)
@@adriensanguinetti Cool, thx. Just bought the bundel. 👍
What's the song title?
If your asking about the first one, it is Night Mood- Franz Gordon
