- Starship Enterprise leaves Earth and lands in Enterprise hangar,CGI animation created with 3DS Max. Earth model built by me (thanks for the excellent tutorial by Alexander Svan). Enterprise model built by Dennis Bailey.Shuttle model by Staffan Norling. Match moving done with Synth Eyes. Compositing done with After Effects.Clips processed in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Um... Am I the only one to notice that a Shuttle from the USS VOYAGE Enters the Original refit of the USS Enterprise 1701 ? There is a time issue here lol Anyway nice job looks great :)

No it's an arboretum a type of Botanic garden on board the enterprise.
Nice job matching the video to the music from the Motion Picture. And use of scale, showing how big the ship is, compared to even a Voyager Era shuttlecraft.

Amazing job!!! I need a CGI of a Wells class emerging from a rift and circling the USS Yorktown (TOS era) and entering the hanger bay! WOW!!!

Not bad. But could use some Communication audio tracks to state how close and any dangers with Shuttle receiving. What is the Shuttle's name?
Good model of the Enterprise but the warp engines are not on all the time
The models and (most of) textures look pretty decent, but you really need to pay A LOT more attention to the lighting....particularly the direction your primary light source is coming from. As just one single example, take a look at the scene around 1:30...you have the ships lit up in the back, however "the sun" is clearly out in front...where's the light coming from? And...were you really trying to create a 6 sided bokah with that flair? I think I would have used Premiere for that. It looks like a good start...but there's still A LOT of work that needs to be done here if your goal was to make it look fairly realistic...as it stands now, this really looks more like Second Life than anything from Autodesk (I use Maya myself).
Yeah, your lighting is off. Some of it may supposed to be reflected from the planet, but it is too bright for that. And definitely wrong era shuttle for that Enterprise. And the shuttle's shadow does not show properly on objects on the ground, it just stays 2d. Still, it is a very good start.
I guess we know a Type 9/Class 2 Shuttlecraft will fit in a Refit Constitution shuttlebay. We can see if a Danube-class Runabout can. We know three will fit in a Galaxy-class starship as thats how the initial three got to DS9
