The Elite Can’t really speak for them but I do know there are a lot of Pakistani doctors in the US.
The Elite Maybe in the US that’s the case. I’ve been to other countries such as Canada and UK and many Bangladeshis are very poor and not as educated there same with certain areas of the Pakistani community in England. In terms of electrical engineering then yes there may very well be many Pakistanis both American born and international that become electrical.

Yes, I have a cousin who lives outside London , I've been to some shitty "desi" areas throughout England like parts of Leicester , Tower Hamlets, etc. There are many poor areas that contain Indians and Sri Lankans too . I'm also going based off of statistics , many Bangladeshis in places like Tower Hamlets and throughout the country are the lowest wage earners in income compared to other ethnicities.

I really respect Chan's interactions with the students. He was mainly asking them questions about their classes/fields and basing his answers off that and less so their physical appearance. I've been binging these videos lately and a lot of the time the guessers don't ask any questions and base everything off their looks and style. Its kind of infuriating trying to play along and you don't get any information to actually try, plus you can tell the participants are uncomfortable and kind of hurt by what they say. Treat people like people, not objects to stare at

@Zach Arbogast No, it doesn't really. Math is very much something you get better at with hard work and a lot of practice. I was bad at it and generally kinda disliked it when I went to college for mechanical engineering. It's pretty much all you do though, so you get used to thinking in a more analytical way.
I can't count how many times the first answer to "I work in engineering" was "Oh, so you're good at math". Just gets annoying real quick.

@@jayjain1033 Yes, as I said, after a certain amount of time, you develop and adapt to a more structured and analytical way of thinking. Purely because you just use math all the time and need to change something from the crude "pick a formula that looks good and try to solve for your variable" way of thinking many people still have.
At least this was how I experienced it. Once you actually know why you're doing it, the how gets easier. It will be frustrating at times, but I wouldn't wanna change for any job in the world.

And the thing is that, it probably wasn't her fault in a sense that she was pushed or incurage to take that major from her parents. Most parents from other countries believe to have a job that make you money but your miserable. It's the same with mine parents but for me I didn't listen to them and actually pick a major that I actually enjoyoy to do with my life

In a lot of cultures, parents expect their kids to support them when they're older. So some of these college kids expect that in the near future they not only have to support themselves. But also their parents and grandparents. Hence why some choose certain majors. Now imagine that their parents retire right after they finish college (and didnt saved enough for retirement and living by only social security) and have medical problems. It is stressful.
There's nothing wrong with taking finance as a major....
I'm currently in pursuing Chartered accountancy and ya ..doing finance is just the tip of the requirements

No one ever says that Business classes are hard. I'm STEM so I can't attest to whether that's true or not. It could be a weird superiority complex kinda thing, or even jealousy. "I don't have time to party and be a human being because I'm studying for multiple tough subjects that all have low pass rates and take up a lot of mental energy."

as a funeral service/mortuary major student myself. In recent years we do not look like your typical Mortician, or undertaker. but i 100% agree with the mortician major in this video. Being able to give a family one last beautiful picture of their loved one and seeing the gratitude and appreciation towards you is one of the most rewarding feelings.
