    Great review. I bought one new in 2022. Absolutely love it. I am 70 and have had many bikes. But I needed a low seat, easy to maneouvre. I recently went from Manchester to Halifax over Saddleworth Moor in very windy conditions. Ok - had to downshift to climb steep inclines but it didn't miss a beat. Stuck to the road and I felt safe. Great riding position. No sore back. Comfortable seat - no sore butt!

      @safcdreamers The review is very accurate. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Superlight. I only use it in the dry so can't comment on the rust which others have mentioned. However, users have said that If you spray it with protection and dry it off quickly, it is fine.

    I love the bike! I own one for the past 6 months .they are really good and stylish. The only bad thing is that they are Chinese in the end that is heavy for 125cc so if you want to go on a small tour with another person on it you will suffer in uphills . Max speed that i got was 100 . I love the bike and i m planning to keep it for many more years . Great video as well!!

    My mum's got one of these. Went touring in Wales last year. I found that the wind screen actually made wind worse.
    Above about 40mph it creates a LOT of buffetting, to the point where I'm more comfortable doing my usual bits of light speeding on my naked 650 than I was doing 50mph on mum's Keeway.
    Took it off - much better. Instead of wind buffetting shaking my head about and adding noise - nice clean air. Y'all should try it, see how much difference it makes.
    Perhaps there's a market for Superlight screens that don't buffett?

    Great video, very helpful! I'm looking to get a brand new one in the coming months and it's certainly helped. The only thing I'm a bit weary of is the colder months and storing it outside as it's my only option. Do you have any suggestions how to keep it as pristine as possible without rusting or any weather damage to it whilst its sitting out? I do only plan to have it for the duration of cbt so 2 years which in that time will it rust over enough to be difficult to sell?
    Thanks again

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  2 года назад +1

      If you’re leaving it outside you will need a good cover. 125cc bikes always sell well on the used market so I wouldn’t worry about that. Rust is always a worry when leaving bikes outside. To prevent it as much as you can you need to keep it clean and cover it when it’s dry and not already soaked. It is very difficult to prevent the rust from coming though.

    Pretty awful. Footboards make no sense on a short distance bike. Feet forward is awkward at low speed for your cbt and mod1. Extra weight dents performance. Expensive as well and often the chrome is bad due to neglect.
    I get the styling thing, but 125 is a stepping stone to a more practical bigger machine. Don’t waste your money get a cheap basic 125 and spend money on gear, security and training. Sell it for what you paid for it.

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  2 года назад +3

      Actually that is a really good point and i did forget about that. There are much easier bikes for a CBT. Personally I like the foot forward position but I’ve been riding for years. I know it’s not for everyone. I guess it comes down to if the 125 is a stepping stone to bigger bike there are other bikes available that could be easier. But Some 17 year olds ride until they pass their car test and some older ones just want a 125 because they are lighter and cheap to run and for them I do think it would be a good choice. I really do like the style and have done for years.

      @@GillyBikes another point that we noticed when I was looking for a 125. The chrome detoriates really quickly in the hands of the average 17 yrs old. Older bikes had chrome pipes and finish was poor. It’s not easily or cheaply restored. Unlike some other cruises with painted parts. They are cheap to replace the finish.
      And they are long as well. Not as manoeuvrable as shorter bike. My lad wanted one but I convinced him to save his money buy a non runner Lexmoto zsb125 and do it up for pennies. Much easier bike to ride and won’t look a shit state in 3 years time.

      I don’t normally go for chrome parts I find them a pain to keep clean. 😂

    I had one of these. The best thing I did with it as sell it. Awful bike. Handled worst than a hippopotamus. Brakes were more scary than a hammer horror film. Save yourself and stay well clear of this bike😮

      I’ve seen a few with rust on. But to be fair they were being left outside and not really looked after.

      It’s just a choice. In the uk 17 year old have to ride no bigger than a 125. This just gives them a cruiser option.

      I looked up a lot of videos about it and I terrifically get it. It actually is really cool. I just wonder how well it works with an old lady on the back. on the B*tch seat?

      I usually try to keep them off my back but I never meant it literally . I guess .. Oh Well, Another one hits the dust .. It's faster now. I should come back later to see if she is okay and doing fine without me, the Bit*h. She yells so hard, I can't hear the engine.
