Yknow, I've never thought about it before but hearing instrumentals without ever having heard the lyrics really makes you wonder where the lyrics might have been placed on the song. Especially when you're as experimental as Fragile-era Trent lol

The lyrics have purpose I would argue, but it's very cryptic. That being said, I would agree that there's much to be gleaned in simply feeling the album, whether it is the original Fragile or these Deviations, for their music as it tells the story perhaps more broadly in an intuitive sense, while the lyrics are hints or glimpses.

I feel like this song was always meant to be just an instrumental.

I would’ve loved to hear all of these on the original album.
I bet he could’ve put superb lyrics over these extra tracks and make them so much more.
Not that his instrumental tracks aren’t already perfect.
I’d just be curious to know how this one would sound with lyrics.

I agree brother. This godly track gives me some peace, like I'm in a Zen mode.

I'm imagining something with that sassy "nah nah nah nah" Trenty vibe, for this one.

I can hear some of the stems they used for Saul's album

Maybe not so much in this song but the others have parts that were used in Saul's album niggy tardus.

Why are you obsessed with changing the playback speed?

@@boneor...7022 Because it’s really interesting how the same exact song can be completely changed in mood and sometimes genre simply by increasing or decreasing the speed. And for some reason it works particularly well with nin songs. It’s just suggestions if people want to experience the songs in new ways. I just get a kick out of it.
