I never comment on videos, like ever but this remix is absolutely fantastic, i had also seen the L4D fan trailer then went looking for that song but when I found it it didn't quite sound the same, then I found this page. Brilliant work man.
I believe that each version (the original and this) portray interesting pictures. The original gives me more of a fearful feeling as the drums act like the heartbeat of a victim. This is more of a somber feeling. The piano gives more of a deep, depressing tone portraying more of the idea that some great tragedy occurred (I am speaking only from 0:00 to 3:20).
8 years late.. but yes sir well said. I can also imagine a song like this being played during the end of days or in a sort of zombie outbreak, the piano just does it for me.
Since my divorce in 2010 i have been so hurt nin and htda music has kept me alive.. I did try suicide by alcohol.. All their music helped me through absolute evil in my life. Anyone suffering i hope you find happiness.

Really amazing remix and I believe this is the best version period. Very emotionally stirring. It's awesome you took something that was mostly electronic and made it more band like. Rare and keep it up man!
I would argue that THIS is darker than the original, a combination of primitive with human reflection. The piano coupled with the echo that fades back into a distant effect to me suggests a reflecting point of view regarding the subject matter, which with the combined guitar that comes in 3/4 of the way makes me think of a serious action being contemplated before it begins (with the guitar signaling the beginning). Since the guitar doesn't last long, I'm thinking neither does the "act".
I know this is a repost, but I need to know where to go and get a MP3 of this song. I have googled it and have come up empty. This song is so awesome at it's own and I can say that it does the L4D fan trailer justice. Somebody, please help me!
