Just a helpful tip. I used to work as a paint manager. That peeling paint is probably not from going over it before it was dry. That peeling happens when the walls are not cleaned properly and the adhesive doesn't adhere. Make sure you sand and clean that spot, before reapplying.
I was going to say the same thing, I used to work as a painter, I painted walls and put up wallpapers. I also wanted to say that she could buy a tinting paint for wall paint, I think it's called Mengkleur in Dutch, just so she can make the paint a little darker.
That green bathroom would look nice with the wood tones and white decor. It’ll help calm down the green. Your “Harry Potter” closet would be great for fabric storage!!
I painted our little bathroom in sage green. I love that color. But I felt it got too dark so I painted one wall in a cream white. That helped tone the green down a bit☺️
In our small bathroom, we put a small glass shelf above the sink. Very handy. I could see a wooden, vintage style one in yours. (or bamboo?) The green is very pretty! ❤ You are making great progress in the house! Well done!
I love everything you have done! How about something taller to add to the shelf in the bathroom, like a vase of flowers or something. Try to save the paint by mixing another color into it to change it altogether. The store has the formula that created your custom color, so they will know what to add to make it a color you like. They can even match the color of something you bring in. Hope this helps a little. Have a wonderful weekend, xoxo's Sandie🤗
The way the more square boardgames line up perfectly in the game cabinet was so satisfying! We're currently still looking for a new rental apartment, but for some weird reason, smaller space than the one we're living in now but with an extra room (so basically an extra wall lol) is nearly double the price.
I am impressed you did making the floors yourself. I painted the ceilings myself in my apartment. Lovely to watch your style in the house. Your office is amazing.
I absolutely love the new haircut!! Your house is coming along nicely and you have done so much in such a short space of time. Everything looks great. So excited to see what you do next! Thank you for bringing us along with you. Can't wait for the next video!
love your new hair! In the bathroom a biger light with more light bulbs should look better and brighten up the space. thise one makes the ciling really dark
You my dear, know how to make a house a home. No advice from me needed. It's cozy and crisp at the same time..with just the right amount of lived in. Each little step, a bit here, a bit there and it all comes together perfectly. The paint over the tiled bathroom, had me a little worried, but looks lovely.😉. And I must add, your hair in this style suits you well. I just yesterday, cut my pixie shorter for summer. I love a finger style, so breezy, so easy. Excited Lovely, to see you decorate the studio.
Loving the new home vlogs, myself and husband only start doing work on your first home after 3 year living there, I loving looking up ideas your videos are giving me inspiration.
As someone who's just moved and is now on a first name basis with like half the people working in the hardwarestore because I needed to ask ALL the questions... Those plinths are great, but they do tend to let go, especially the smaller bits that you have meticulously cut to exactly fit the corners. Use superglue to glue them down, don't just rely on the glue strip that they come with. Oh, and maybe you could do a video on great secondhand shop finds that really give your house character? I'm now haunting them like weekly and it's amazing the stuff you can find there!
Since your last video (also your hair looks in-cre-di-ble), my partner and I have offered, and been accepted for, a new home of our own! Our pre-move project is going to be refinishing 2000 square feet of hardwood. Watching your home come together is giving me the courage and enthusiasm I need to get through the buying process. I had never seen someone paint tile before and honestly didn't expect it to work so nicely, but I'm glad it did!
Everything is coming along so well!! And I actually really like that shot glass with the matches 😅 thought it was a nice glass/crystal element in the space. And I've never seen paint over tile like that but it came out SO FREAKING GOOD!! And the English term for the structural element of the floor that you install your flooring on top of is usually called a subfloor. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you! Can't wait to what else you do 💖
Hi Lucy, love your new hair cut and the house is just getting better and better. Just a couple of ideas. For your stick matches in the bathroom, cut a small piece of the striker sandpaper off of the box and glue it to the bottom of the little glass you have the matches in so you can light a match when you need to. Also, I saw you squeezing by the door handle in your office. You could take the door down. I did that with my study here at home and I love it. I never closed the door anyway and it is so much more open and airy. :-)
I have watched your videos in forever but I love all the house things! Congratulations 🎉. Are you have to paint the sink like a nice cream? I love how it came out! That green is my favorite color as well!
If you have the ability, you should look into putting a pocket door in as your office door. It'll save you a bunch of space! The house is looking great!
Love the hair and the shelves behind your desk and the bag in front of the shelves.😄 I wish we had an IKEA close to our house. The bathroom decor is so cute. I am looking forward mostly to how you'll decorate the attic room. Is there a skylight up there? Enjoy the decorating experience. 😆
When we moved recently everyone asked why i didnt set up my sewingspace in the spare room but in the livingroom where my bf also has his desk. Well, when would we see each otherthen? So i totally understand your office situation!
Maybe you could change the paint that you don‘t like with these concentrated paint pigments? (I don’t know if they have them in hardwarestores in the Netherlands but in Germany they do). That way you can just mix it to the color you like by yourself so it doesn‘t go to wast. Did this myself to safe some paint I didn‘t like :)
Some paint shops can try to adjust your custom paint color to something that you like better. Not the generic hardware store like Praxis or Gamma, but a smaller specialist store with good service might be able to fix your paint color :-)
Oooohhh my, now that I saw how good your painted wall bathroom tiles look I desperately want to paint my bathroom too :D It is currently a very 70s brownish colour which I despise and we probably won't have the budget to change it for a two or three years. Guess I'm doing a trip to the Gamma this weekend :D
I see in this footage that you have lovely long legs and might be a bit short-waisted. I’m the opposite, with short legs (alas 😄) and a longer torso. I mention it because it reminded me of the waistcoat video where you weren’t quite happy with the waist and how the buttons sat. I think that next time you make that pattern, if you raise the waistline a smidge, it might sort out what you didn’t like with the fit. Looking forward to the next thing you make in your wonderful new studio!
That hairstyle suits you so well! I would love to see your take on gamine😃 not much content on the gamine style but I know you’d rock it. Loved the video by the way💜💜
when I see the floor of your attic it reminds me of other youtubers in the UK doing renovations on old houses and many of them will sand and stain floors that look like your attic and I'm like, um, really, are you sure, lol
we're gonna do our toilet room dark, and it's smaller than your toilet room. I got inspired from a toilet in a restaurant in Paris that was almost all black and I was like, yes, yes, but more cottage-y with wainscoting and stuff, lol, we're also doing the many pictures too in the toilet, but ours are gonna be A4 sized posters of movies we saw while living in Korea, At the cinema in Korea they have these posters available for free
I do love the idea of pictures in the restroom, I love how Rachel Maksy decorated her's. But I would definitely not want to have pictures of people I know in my restroom, I don't know, it just would be awkward for me to look at pictures of my friends while I'm sitting on a toilet and doing the thing, oops 🤣 😅
Hi! I recently did the exact same makeover in my guest half bathroom! The space is actually the same size, but I used white color to open up the space and the finish is matte! What did you use for the walls? 😊
@@Loepsie I honestly never knew that existed! I have some boring plain white tile in my bathroom and it would be awesome to get a new color without having to have them all replaced. :) Thanks!!
There is a dormer on the opposite side! I don't usually film in that direction as it shows the houses behind mine, but it's there and it adds a lot of space and light. We probably won't be adding a window to the other side though, light from two opposite directions is a film & photography nightmare, haha!
i'm a bit surprised how you buy from Ikea (not sustainable, fast fashion furniture) in stead of buying things second hand. can you talk about this a bit next vlog?
It’s very common here in the Netherlands to buy furniture from Ikea. We do have second hand stores but most of the times it hard to find what you are looking for. Furniture bought at Ikea can last for years btw!

The new cut is amazing! It's so wavy and voluminous. I always knew you would look great with a French style long bob. ❤️
Thank you! I'm very happy with it myself 😄
You could paint some simple but large flowers and foliage on the bathroom walls to help break up all the green.
Also you could paint some flowers on the wavy textured glass in your studio.
In our small bathroom, we put a small glass shelf above the sink. Very handy.
I could see a wooden, vintage style one in yours. (or bamboo?)
The green is very pretty! ❤

Take the paint back to the hardware store and have them add more tint to the can. This will change the color and then you can use it in another area.
