- Hey Hey!! Today we are finally sharing our DIY SMALL BATHROOM MAKEOVER on a BUDGET ... it took us a while to finally revamp our lime green bathroom, but we did it & it was so worth the wait! (links from this video are below) This diy bathroom remodel took us about 5 days total & we ended up loving the mix of traditional & modern design style. We painted the lime green walls to something more neutral, added a hand painted stencil, board & batten, replaced all the builder grade hardware, painted the bathroom vanity, added some diy wooden shelves & so much more, to create a gorgeous new bathroom! Hi Amanda, everything looks awesome and you both did a great job with this makeover. I would recommend to move plant on bottom shelf to right corner as it needs more light to survive 🙂

The easiest way to take a mirror off the wall without breaking it is to take fishing line and place behind the mirror and slide back and forth until it breaks away from the wall.

Amanda, I love that accent wall above the sink. It’s just enough. The vanity color is gorgeous. Isn’t it crazy what a huge change paint can make. This looks like an Amanda makeover. That green did not fit in your home at all. This is a beautiful bathroom.❤

I live in Australia and I have noticed that all your walls are textured but over here our walls are smooth.
Wow what a difference the bathroom looks twice as big painted that colour. Love the shelves and the vanity unit looks so high end now.
Benji and Felix make me laugh how they always come to help. My cats are 9 now and always appear for a nosey. 😻

Kyle and Amanda 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 it looks amazing, just like it was meant to be. What a transformation. The wall color was the start. Love the color and finish on the vanity. The round mirror is impactful as well as the gorgeous shelves. You used those in other makeovers and they are stunning. I love what you Both have done. The baton board 👌🏼. The one thing I would remove i the side mirror cabinet. It competes with the mirrow and seems extra. In the other 2 bathrooms mimic similar colors given the space, maybe a darker rug since boys may need to camouflage the daily wear. Add the same light fixture. 👍🏼👍🏼
They could of removed the mirror covered it with board and painted it the same as the walls if it was too hard to remove the whole cupboard/cabinet.

Yeah, I actually wanted to take down the medicine cabinet and replace it with some nice open wood shelves since the medicine cabinet is sunk into the wall. But wasn’t sure how time consuming it would be. Both the boys bathrooms have that, so maybe we will experiment with this one in a house projects video before tackling theirs! - I would love to swap it out for something more modern :)

The colours, shapes and accents all blend in perfectly, if it was me the only thing I would’ve changed would be to have the height of the board and batten to be level with the bottom of the window so that line flowed but that’s just the OCD in me 😂

Amanda we remodeled two homes before building the one we’re in. It never ceases to amaze me what a little paint & elbow grease can do for a space! What a transformation, love it all! Especially those cabinets! 🤩
I loved the stencil wall, I also LOVE the pebble cabinet! It made me want to paint my whole kitchen!! The only thing I would suggest is covering the mirror on the medicine cabinet with something DIY theysell some that are frames but I bet you could DIY it!
Great transformation Amanda and Kyle. That green was too overpowering. You have lightened the room up and added more modern decor. I like the board and baton effect as well, the new lights and cabinets. The over all looks make this bathroom a winner. Great job!

What a big difference. The neutral colors gives it a clean and fresh look, good choice on the hardware.. It gives me a few ideas for my bathroom.
Calming and peaceful! It’s sort of like hitting the ground running or walking, listening to rap or piano music!! While they are both good in different settings (I don’t like rap but there’s a market for some) waking up to that could rattle one’s brain 😬🤣

What did I love? All of it! What a spectacular make-over, Amanda and Kyle. My favourite part was seeing the green paint get covered up. Besides that, I really liked how you painted your vanity doors. We need that done in our main bathroom, although I am not as brave as you are. I would have to hire someone. The bathroom looks very modern with traditional touches, just what you had planned at the start. Well done!

This turned out great. I love the board & batten, the rug idea & those chunky wood shelves. It turned out wonderful. I live in an apartment & I wish I would paint. One thing I hate about my apart.me this that there are 5 different colors of “brown” wood (window frames, closet doors, cabinets in the kitchen, cabinets in the bathroom & other doors. Drives me nuts.

This was such a satisfying transformation! The vanity and black appliances look sooo good. I think the taupe color came across in some of the views at the end, and those are all colors I would choose, too. I'm really surprised how nice the hashed marks on the wall look with everything... very cool. So relaxing in there now, and the minimalist decor is great. The way the mirror goes with the tray made me really happy for some reason. lol Reminded me of when my partner and I painted this house - the walls were this sickly hospital yellow color and it was like we could breathe easier after the color went on. Also whenever I look at the house I feel a good sense of accomplishment.

All I can say is WOW the Kermit green.is gone. What a gorgeous bathroom. The colors you used really pops and makes the space look much bigger. I really love the color of the cabinets. This bathroom is lovely! I'm redoing mine on a budget too. I would suggest removing light switch and plug covers and paint that closer, instead of just painting around them.

Looks great. The two mirrors are a bit confusing. Gave u thought about maybe covering the medicine cabinet with a piece of art with a depth so u can still open the cabinet for storage. Maybe one of your texture kind of art pieces. ❤❤❤

For one of the bathrooms, if you're a fan of the color, you should do subtle sage green walls (if not then just white) with light boho accent cabinets and decor with gold/brass sink faucet, and for the other, do dark grey walls with dark brown wood stained cabinets with oil rubbed bronze sink faucet🥰
