I'm laid up in hospital and I start low level singing Pixies 'Broken Face' but replacing the 'face' lyric with 'hip'. Then I get home after surgery and randomly stick this album on. I'm listening to Cecilia Ann and realize I'm inadvertently tapping my foot on the bad side of my break. I nearly commented on that video to say 'yeah Pixies must be awesome if they can make you forget about a broken bone' or some shit. But then I get to this video, and think the exact same as you and see your comment. Strange how certain events seems to just line up in their own unique but interesting little ways haha 😄

I'm nearly 40 years old and I just heard this song for the 1st time today. Pixies were a band that escaped my notice. Hearing this today on the radio I couldn't help but notice elements of the guitars that reminded me of In Bloom by Nirvana. Reading all these comments from you guys makes the connection. Kurt Cobain was a Pixies fan and the inspiration he drew from listening to their music is clear to hear. I need to download myself some more Pixies music.

Freshman year1990 at Tulane University, I reviewed a couple of albums for the WTUL campus radio station newspaper, one of which was this Pixies album. It incluced a song called Alison, which is my name. Despite the name song, I loved this "cassette" . Still do, and Velouria was always a favourite.
Saw them live once again yesterday opening for Pearl Jam in Imola (ITA). I still think Pixies are the greatest band in rock n roll history. They didn’t play velouria but anyway today I’m here again. AGAIN. MERAVIGLIOSI!
