Quite possibly, probably, the funniest television series sitcom in History. Fond memories of watching this show throughout my life with my parents, and in recent decades with my wife and kids. Kudos.
A mid fifties American male here, and absolutely loved every episode. Still to this day, will continue to watch every episode over and over again. Introduced this show to many of my friends and family members, and they all love it. Thanks to all the cast members, writers and producers for much under appreciated talents. John, you were brilliant as well as your character! Best wishes!
Oh, wonderful!!!! John, if you are reading this my family all loved Fawlty Towers and I was able to show it to my Grandmother who had worked in an American hotel and said the show was very true-to-life!
Im sure they were just out of time and on live TV sometimes that can feel momentarily awkward. The thing I thought was rude was that they didn’t congratulate him on his pregnancy. 😉
These interviewers are totally outclassed by John Cleese. There is a huge chasm between the quality of him and the two nobodies; how did the get they get their jobs?
I'll have to buy the CD, I don't see a chance of popping over to Jolly Old to catch it on stage. Much the pity. Well, not everyone in the U. S. is so literal minded. Plenty are, but not _all_
There's a glint in John's eye that makes me suspect that this was intentional - I mean the man's done many interviews. I'm pretty sure he knows what it means when the floor manager is waving their arms about! :D
@@alexmadgwick634 Possibly. The way the host just interrupted and cut him off like that was f'n rude and I'm sure it's against channel policy. Maybe he was a bit miffed that John was berating religion a bit or maybe it was a bit like you said which would be strange because it wasn't very funny.
I can't believe my dad looked so similar to John cleese at this age but he was an Englishman of his generation...if it wasn't for these money grabbing pigs interviewing John it would be a great interview 😱😁
WTF! As soon as he starts to talk about comedy and context and he was going at the modern shit they cut him off! He wasnt allowed to say those things in msm
Am I wrong, or are they trying to remake this classic. Sacrilege. It almost like American hijackings British television shows and making a absolute pig's breakfast of them.
Am sorry. But when we🇺🇸Highjacked Threes Company and All in the Family. I would say they were miles (excuse me) kilometers better in contrast. To their British Cousins. Now if you’re referring to the Bomb. That was the American version of Fawlty Towers? Well I’ll make no excuses for that calamity. It was horrific! Fawlty Towers needs to be left alone. It’s British Exceptionalism 🇬🇧
thank you John for making us all smile!

I love mr. Cleese, my all time favorite! 👍 Thanks for all the laughs! 🤩
I wish Faulty Towers had lasted much longer. It was a great show! I loved the entire cast. 💟
Sounded like the producers got nervous at the end HAHHA
Amazing to think they're sitting on the very spot where the Fawlty Towers set was!
A legend and giving them insights into comedy and the funniest show of all time and they don’t finish the interview correctly. So unprofessional
Im sure they were just out of time and on live TV sometimes that can feel momentarily awkward. The thing I thought was rude was that they didn’t congratulate him on his pregnancy. 😉
Dermot and that woman do not understand how great a series Fawlty was.
It’s not the only thing they don’t understand.
Airhead Alison doesn't but Dermot does
That woman famous for big brother. If u can call that fame.
Can't believe they humiliated a star guest by literally ignoring him half way through a sentence...?! Pythonesque
These interviewers are totally outclassed by John Cleese. There is a huge chasm between the quality of him and the two nobodies; how did the get they get their jobs?
Fascinating.
The proog of the genius of Fawlty Towers is the fact that it's fifty years old and still makes me laugh exactly as much.
Amazing how this 'Writer' also had equal talent for some of the best physical acting in comedy history.
Like those two hosts can relate. They are so fake.
I was thinking the same.

Alison showing her gravitas by continuously saying ‘really’ in brummy !! Prefer new presenters …ll just sayin ….🤷🏼♂️😏
Going to be a really sad day when he goes.
As far as I am concerned after appearing on this sad show he has already gone in all intents and purposes.
Noooooo…. Damn tv TIME
Woah, John's daughter is well tidy
The Same Studio.. Wow..
Wow really surprised they didn’t make Manuel Black or Sybil trans for the stage show like most woke productions seem to be doing now. Refreshing
Very rude of him to cut John off
I don't think intentionally, time was just up and possibly tight re the schedule 🎩
If they possessed a little more wit, they should have threatened to call security !😂
Yeah, that was pretty bad.

That was awful…John Cleese is a beloved icon and they talked right over his sentence to end the session. So rude!
From the cutting edge of comedy to the lowest form of entertainment, age is a cruel master.

@@lisaroberts8556 Thanks for posting. Can you tell me how many American shows were remade by Brits or even Aussies? An Australian.

Farty Towels.
John should have his own morning show. I don't like this one.
Can anyone ask him if he did nt get a head ache of doing it ? All shouting & body moves..

Fawlty Towers is the greatest TV sitcom ever made after Only Fools and Horses only because it went on for longer.
