  • I was asked a question "What is a soft reline? What is a transitional reline?"
While there are no actual procedures called a "Soft Reline" or "Transitional Reline" I will try to explain what both of these are or could be. We normally call them Soft Liners or Tissue Conditioners(sometimes people call them temporary linings).

Thanks doc. As a GP it's nice to have these bits of valuable details from someone who specializes in this area of dentistry. I'd like to ask you if you've used or would use tokuyama soft relign instead of a traditional soft tissue conditioner for an immediate "transitional denture" case?

How long does it take to get use to wearing dentures as far as eating and/or speaking and when does the saliva glands slow down and the swallowing subside?
