@@samuelstevens248 🙄Liverpool’s have had an “incredible” defensive record because their opponents haven’t been good enough to expose their flaws. The Man City’s or the Real Madrid’s of the world will do just that and when that happens unfortunately Liverpool are going to get beaten badly. Remember Liverpool’s past heartbreaks occurred when they couldn’t garner enough points or goals to close out the season.
@G10-n7f Man City have not hammered us once in the last four year. We have the stronger record against them out of 12 games we've one four, them three, rest draws.
I don't know if I want to hug Jotta or strangle him. How has Jotta not got a hat trick today? Jotta is our best finisher and he is usually so clinical but those two chances, from Gravenberch and Trent, should have been finished NO excuses !!!! These are the types of games that have cost us titles in the past, especially in 2019 and 2022 when we ended up with silly draws when we should have won games. I hope these guys don't make that mistake this season. You need to kill off games when you are on top.

The lack of first half palace fouls was more down to simon hooper and his consistent awful refereeing when it involved liverpool he sent 2 liverpool players of last season in 1 match !

As a Liverpool fan with new Manager coming up I never thought we would be 4 points clear. I know the real test is coming up against Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton and Aston Villa. Up the reds YNWA
Our attack needs to be in top shape and raring to go in the games till Jan ..these 2-3 months period is where we set the narrative for the rest of the season i.e. top 4 or title challenge.. mo , lucho, jota, Darwin , gakpo, chiesa hopefully injury free during this period fingers crossed .. we will concede with the big teams .

Felt very comfortable as a Liverpool fan, Palace had a few shots straight at the goalkeeper but generally didn't lay a glove on us until the latter stages. They actually defended ok which made the game tighter than it should have been, that and two poor Jota finishes, but their midfield got totally dominated which made it feel very easy.
You can not say it should have been 1-1, liverpool should have been 2 or 3 goals up

My English is not the best, but what do you mean with scrappy? I saw a totally dominant Liverpool for the first 70 minuten and then of course because it stayed 1-0 Palace started believing in some points, but in the end a very convincing and deserved victory for Liverpool.
Not by any stretch of the imagination would call this scrappy win… i’ve seen those matches, this is not one of them

As a Liverpool fan I actually appreciated CP not really showing up today. One never knows what they will do though.
First half was comfortable, but not super convincing overall pretty wasteful in front of goal and overplayed often, but 3 points is the main thing onto the next one!
Liverpool are definitely better defensively this season.
But going forward they tend to have off games fromt time to time especially when Salah isnt having a good game. That was what derailed things last season in the Premier league. If they could improve that area, they would be genuine title contenders and a real threat to Arsenal and Man City

Totally dominated Palace the first 70 minutes. Just last 25 minutes weren’t comfortable, because they forgot to score the second.
Why this ESPN don't cover Arsenal& City games which was more enjoyable to watch than this shitty Performance from Liverpool against a dead team yet Steve Nicol saying it's a comfortable win, there's no way Liverpool will even finish top four if they will keep playing like this, no creativity, half of their passes are in their midfield, inaccuracy in passes, same old Klopp at the end of his career with Liverpool, Slot doesn't talk to his players, no motivation, City will win the league 100%

Liverpool need a striker , a man who will put away all these chances , they are too wasteful better sides will punish the wasted chances, curtis Jones is not good enough the side was weakened when Macallister went off , it only solidified when Endo joined the fray.
