Good ol memories of my school days... My besties mom used to make this. The bestest I have had so far. Aunty is no more but after watching this video, u just reminded me those summer days. Thank u. A must try when my lil nephews n niece come. Thank u once again
But originally we put a hole in center of the vada before putting into the oil, and it helps to fry completely in center potion also, if we didn't put hole it takes more time to fry. If it is in the ball shape we say it as bonda
following your every videos , this one looks so yum ,, i have a small suggetion which i already tried ,, for curd instead water if we add milk , curd will not get spoil early it enhances the taste and instead frying vadas 100 % golden brown need to fry just 80 % , by this vadas absorb more curd and feels soft from inside ,, thank you ,,
Lovely receipe! No unnecessary talking, wasting time on go on showing the product for a long time. Thank you so much. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.I 👍
Really ur recipes are easy to follow ND I tried so many dishes- Neer dosai, rava dosai, hotel style coconut chutney, podina chutney and every dishes comes food and tasty and my family likes it. Thank u so much
Hii mam thank you for giving this recipe my mom loves dahi Vada today I made it nd she was very happy she loved it she had a big smile on her face 😊 thank you soo much.....🤗
Love all your recipes Hebbar dear. They are so clear and easy to follow. However can I add some rice four to the batter because its a little bit loose an cant form the vadais easily.
We grind coconut green chilli, ginger n mix with curd. Will not refrigerate. Vada should have a hole in the centre n it should be flattened. Should not be like round bonda
@@sumit723 In my home, we straight away transfer from hot oil to diluted dahi. Because its hot, vada observes sufficient dahi and becomes soft. I think this is how dahi vada is prepared in TN.
@@lakshmaninside it will look oily if you add it directly to dahi. In our home, we dip it into water and when required we add this bada into dahi after removing its water with simple pressing with both hands, it releases the most portion of oil and looks very fresh. At last we add little black salt, roasted jeeta(cumin) power and roasted red dry chilli powder. If someone don't like dahi then we add imli ki chatni instead.
Nice. except that we make it in a doughnut shape and we don't dip it in water. north indians dip it in water. we dip it directly in tempered curd mixture. the vada tastes even better that way . try it! that is the traditional south indian style
Madam Can we get a that thick batter from mixie grinding please clarify & Tamilnadu or tamilians the vada is made with hole in center & will not soak in hot water either Anyway thanks for the recipe
I too was wondering how the batter is so thick and fluffy in the mixie. I wanted to ask her the brand and wattage of her mixie, but Hebbar never answers comments. That's too bad!

Rajesh Kannan hello dear

And tamilians didn't add coconut pieces in vada ....
In Andhra Pradesh too
And with hole. Its all going in whether round du, dough nut ru, elliptical lu, ...tasty ya illaya is is the to be or not to be....
In Karnataka also. But we call it as uddin vada😊

I never know the Dahi Vada is dipped in hot water before soaking in dahi. :-)
Will try this way now!
It is common, almost everyone know this process.

Vada must be soft and mouth melting from inside. But your vada is looking so hard.
Because she has refrigerated
If U look ugly... Doesn't mean u r not beautiful from inside..
We all agree to disagree, but please try once and i believe you will change your opinion.

Super. I tried
.madame Wat will u do with remaining fried oil....
Bhajan.. Karenge.. Bhajan.
Used oil should not be reused because every time we heat it increases oils TPC which is very bad for heart.Plz dont use it.
V need to discard it then
Use it for making chapati or dosa. Why to waste so much oil.
