    I recently tried this recipe, but don't have a pan with a large surface area, so used my slow cooker as a substitute. Absolutely delicious.

      There is a lot of butter though. Is it ok to use non dairy butter?

    Do beef cheeks shrink that much in cooking? I have several I plan on making but they are huge so I was going to cut them in half but, if they reduce in size that much during the braise, I might serve one cheek per person

      It doesn’t really matter. I’d use unsalted butter and adjust the seasoning of the glaze!

      Ask your butcher, they will often keep some frozen or if they happen to have fresh even better

    Awesome recipe for the beef cheek but the mashed potatoes …😫 more like butter and cream with potato
