He actually thought I was silly for wanting a new one, just because the letters were worn. An interesting note: the original button glowed green lighted letters. The new one is red. Who doesn’t love an update now and then?
Hi! The only thing I can think of to prevent the wearing away of the letters is the old standby: clear fingernail polish! A girl’s best friend! Of course, it would need to be reapplied often. My son created this video over a year ago, and I am happy to say that the button still looks as good as new!
Gosh I don’t know. But I would give it a shot as a troubleshoot. (I’m so sorry, I just saw your question today) this would be an inexpensive quick fix if that’s what it is. Try it. If it doesn’t work, I suspect you can return the part. Don’t let the dealership or the mechanic rip you off! This is so easy!

Is this related to the ignition switch? I have been told mike needs to be replaced because my Range Rover sport keeps shutting off while I’m driving.
