Same here when we started our first band in the 90s. We had a few originals and did Pantera Metallica a Slayer covers…good times glad to see the young cats still appreciate good music

Been to Lamb of God...been to Slayer...Been to Iron Maiden...Been to Megadeath...Been to Amon Amarth...Didn't really know what to expect with Pantera but let me tell you they fucking rocked the fucking place Phil sounded Amazing really the whole band did !!

One gets humble when you listen to Charlie playing drums that way. His double bass is as powerful and brutal as Vinnie's.
I saw Pantera live in 1993, which means that I'm trying to be as objective as possible.
As a conclusion, I would like to add that Charlie's talent goes beyond borders, and without a doubt, it can be compared to Vinnie's.
your individual talent is one thing.. but your ability to put amazing beats in songs.. vinnie's off time drum work is so perfect for the music Pantera was writing. you even hear people like chris adler, use it in Lamb of God. charlie isnt a bad drummer, by any stretch of the imagination. but is he vinnie paul? nah. vinnie is ruthless. just like dime. a nasty combo that we rarely get to see.

Seemed a bit weird playing The Smiths / Morrissey when the lights went on at the end. Surely they could have come up with a more metal friendly 'the end' song?
The song is “How Soon is Now”I saw an interview with Phil and the interviewer asked him what he likes besides metal. And one of his answers was The Smiths.

I was actually judging it off when I went to the show in Sunrise Florida. I’ve been to hundreds of shows and that was by far the worse sounding concert! The combo of being down tuned and Zacks overly processed guitar tone wasn’t great!

@@hermunkulus It's a cash grab and I can't totally blame them because it is the music BUSINESS and they want to make money, I get that. Personally, I just wish they would have toured under a different name because I would like to see them go all in and release new music but a large majority of the fans do not want them to write and release new music under the Pantera name. They would still be selling out venues if they were promoting the band under a different name other than Pantera, sort of like what Black Sabbath did with Heaven & Hell. They should've named the band Cowboys From Hell.

Relax it's not that serious. I seen them with Metallica in st louis in November of 23 and they kicked fucking ass. They definately did the name justice and are doing a great job keeping the memory alive! Some of us didn't get a chance to see them back in the day. I was 18 when they played their last show and I was a big fan then too just never got to see em. You don't know it's gonna be the last show until later on looking back.
