  • Today I show a quick & easy way to make a hook and loop for a necklace closure. Modify the hook section and you can use it for a bracelet as well.

    Thanks for sharing this. I once knew how to do the wrap for the loops so the wire met flush in the middle but since I learned to solder, I haven't made any loops. I've also used this method with a different hook style and totally forgot how to make it neat like this so, again... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!👍 ❤ 🙂

    Thank you Sandy! I really like being able to make something I would otherwise have to spend money on. Not only that, it adds to the hand crafted aspect of the piece. How would the strength of sterling silver be for a closure like this? Is is softer? I want to make silver ear wires too.

      I'd suggest using half hard wire if you are concerned about strength. That and light hammering will make it stronger.
