    What's the deal with Apache Junction? I know it's not considered one of the safer areas, but you'd think with the views of the Superstition Mountains to the east there'd be some prime real estate.

    • @Expressionistix
      @Expressionistix 10 месяцев назад +7

      You'd think so - it's the only place I'd consider living in the whole metro area but then my goal is if I'd have to live in the big city mess getting out of it fast into nature is the most important. I think Apache Junction will be one of the next big places to live in the future.

      stat wise it's actually much safer than a lot of places in Phoenix like Tolleson, South Glendale, South Mountain and Downtown. AJ is like a mix of older communities and also a hiker vibe. I love Tucson but their crime is really what's bad sadly.

    Best place to move to is more north or west around the 303. The new areas, because they have new engineering better planning and so on. Scottsdale and other established cities are just a "brand name", they are older, with older roads and engineered like 20-50 years ago and also just because of a cities name and desirability, you pay more for car insurance and other stuff too.

    If you were to choose between an existing construction vs. new construction in Arizona, considering it has similar payments, location, etc. which one would you choose and why?

    • @LivinginArizona
      @LivinginArizona  9 месяцев назад

      So many factors to consider. The benefit of new construction
      is the warranties in place and shouldnt have any structural issues or other problems. If it does happen the builder will fix it. With old construction you dont have to worry about building out the yard etc. Should already be there. With new construction you will likely have to pay to build that. But the benefit is you get to design how it looks. I guess overall new builds seem to be best in my opinion.

    I love your videos and your expertise on Arizona. I truly appreciate your opinion on different topics from politics, housing costs, jobs, safe neighborhoods, places to visit, etc. Would you be willing to comment on the illegal immigration movement through Arizona? Is it causing major problems throughout Arizona and especially the Phoenix area? I want to move there, but I have no respect for your governor and what is happening on the border. I am true supporter of the 2nd amendment, and I am fearful she wants to destroy it.

    Arizona is unsafe everywhere. ADT crime map basically has all of Phoenix red. Compared with Midwest and Eastern states, Arizona basically all the same. I'd recommend South Mountain, east of Central. Affordable, 15 min to airport, 15 min to downtown, 15 min to Tempe, 5 min to South Mountain hiking. Only negative is no Indian restaurants.

    There's No water and the likelihood we'll have enough in the future is So sad. This desert is sensitive and delicate; it cannot support all this overdevelopment. It used to be such a beautiful place and now it's paved like a parking lot. Residents all over complain of too much development, over-crowding, and traffic problems. So they pave more. I would say choose another place or visit during the blistering summer before you decide to move here. That said, I still love it, remembering how it used to be.
