Not really. They still have to go find it pick it out pack it up and then have it collected or post it. The cost of the postage isn't the cost of a stamp.
You are right more on rc any money does not make fence when you can buy a cheaper RC and have just as much fun you all right it's fun that you're having with the RC also like to say helping out your local hobby shop if the right idea thank you 😀 it's nice to have a honest person in the hobby
I think I used wheelspin for my widening kit on my Traxxas Maxx, I'd looked about but they had a good clear website, proper part numbers, detailed photos etc, so I knew I was buying the right thing. All the parts were named brands that I knew so I bought with confidence. When I started doing up my old hpi, eBay had loads of old stock, still in the original packaging and was being sold off cheap, so I stocked up on everything. If you know the brand is good, you will pay the extra bit I think, you can't skip quality on RC cars or you will pay double lol, keep the vids going mate.
I think I would stick to Modelsport for future parts and take the postage. Bought myself a Rival MT10 for Xmas and a black FTX Rokatan last week off of them along with some extras to get me back into RC fun after 20 years, looking forward to taking them out. Don't have a local RC shop here and modelsport were the ones right back then that gave me the advice to get the HPI Rush Evo, when I was thinking of getting a Traxass Rustler. They were always helpful back then with anything and great customer service and it seems they still are. I'll see when I need anything depending on what it is. Lol
Depends upon what I need but I normally buy from eBay and Amazon or RC UK shops online ....I've brought from banggood but as you said prices are so high compared to say 3years ago ..wltoys 144001 back in 2019 was 58 pound shipped now they are 90 plus lmao 😂 when they was 50-65 pound couldn't beat a deal for it ...but for lipos and chargers I buy UK only .. rear cups on the wltoys you said that I've brought about 3 pairs of cheaper Chinese ones from Amazon and eBay oand none of them came as OEM parts of wltoys bags lol 😂 still ain't found any ..cheaper cars can sometimes be so good but it's down to parts availability most of the time Owe yes that red carbon drift car that was on banggood many moons ago cost about 120ish back then.....
I mainly use wheelspin models and make it build it for new parts. I've just rebuilt an xmaxx and used them for parts. I use ebay for job lot parts for my nitro buggies and savages. Ebay is a good place to buy parts for older cars if you know what you're looking for but stick to you limit with bids and don't be tempted to bid over your set limit. You'll end up paying over the odds if you do. Shop round and buy smart is the motto really.
I do support my local hobby shops in Texas. They have some stuff that a need like the outcast 8s body I need for my custom 1/7 twin engine savage besides buying online and paying expensive shipping. And your video makes the point when buying rc parts on eBay.
Hi Haggard, I always say that you get what you pay for, i personally try to get the best parts for the best prices , it can be a bit of a minefield but just try to persevere. On the cb radio, my first one was a realistic 40 channel with a db27 Ariel bolted to a metal bin lid and it worked way better than it should, i could speak to truckers in America with no problems. 😊
I nead that blue body shell behind you.. i have one from a long time ago that a mate borrowed but broke the front.. i would like to try and replicate a new front for it.. could you help?
I usually order everything through my local hobby shop... they're good to me.... I have ashelf in the back... usually have 500 to 1000 dollars worth of parts that I pick up as I need to.... I buy all my new kits on layaway... take as long as I need to pay for them... zero shipping and zero interest... they are the best shop ever..... other than that I use DDM racing, Detroit performance, and Amain hobbies.... however ordering from the USA I have to pay duties when it crosses customs.... I'm in Alberta Canada
@@HaggardRC yes I do 😎however it took years to build up the trust.... I had to earn the killer treatment.... buy what I order is one... the other is spending enough at the shop to put one of his kids through college 😎😂😂😂😂
hello Haggard i agree whith you compelete if you are going to do it right then do it right the first and spend the money for the part so you dont hafe to jack ass aroun whith it over and over again so just pay for the most expence part lo i am geeting ready to get a serpent rc nitro i all ready know its going to cost me a little are a lot of money so you get what you pay for if you pay for shit then you get shit and the other way around lol have a nice night mate

you take a chance on anything you bye.thats the real of it all i have like 3 or 4 sellers that i use if they don't have what i want i will wait till one of them do.i usally don't have to wait .lol
I buy things from all the shops!
Redline rc
Hertz
Modelsport
Wheelspin
Mb models
Rc modelshop direct

Trex align
A spur should be a first class stamp max on postage.
Too right dude
Not really. They still have to go find it pick it out pack it up and then have it collected or post it. The cost of the postage isn't the cost of a stamp.
P&P does mean postage and packing after all
No model shops local to me anymore. So I use eBay. Always set search to UK only. And sort by price plus postage lowest first.
I mainly use modelsport or wheel spin models both great service and if anything needs sending back it’s a really easy process

That’s right, I think if you know what you’re buying it really helps.
