As a Christian, probably the most challenging thing to wrap my head around is the fact that something is eternal and uncaused. It's truly austounding. We think everything had to come to be by something else, but if that's the case, it would not be God.

Yeah you see but the problem there is that we dont know YET, just like once upon a time we did t know about gravity etc. WE DONT KNOW, but you ppl claim to KNOW that god created everything. So hence the question, if by your opinion everything has to have a creator, who created god? And please dont say he is infinite couse i can use the same analogy about the universe
We live in a universe that is Time Space and Matter (TSM) and humans only think in the way of (TSM) which means that we cannot think outside of the box which is (TSM). God is from a dimension where there is no (TSM) where nothing is born and nothing dies. We humans who live in (TSM) have the 2nd law of Thermodynamics (entropy) where everything ends up in disorder and dies. There is no 2nd law of Thermodynamics (entropy) in Gods dimension therefore nothing is born and nothing dies which is why God is eternal.
The answer? No one knows. But we will know the truth when we leave our mortal bodies. At that time, we either know the truth or we disappear? Seems sad but nobody has proven anything.

Or the Big Bang. Who or what could have caused it.
