  • In today's video, we're diving into the Hockey Ready Stance. If you enjoy this video check out the other 5 parts which are inside Downhill Skating System 4 and Train 2.0+.
Many players struggle with readiness on the ice, but that often comes from a misunderstanding of what a true ready position is in hockey. Unlike the typical athletic stance used in other sports, the hockey ready stance is unique - it's the literal opposite of what you might expect. In this 6-week course, we'll break down the mechanics behind this stance and show you how it can unlock new levels of performance without any fancy skills.
    What You'll Learn:
Week 1: The foundation of the Hockey Ready Stance - why it's different and how it sets up superior rotation for shots and strides.
Week 2: How this stance leads to unlocking rotational power, crucial for high-level performance.
Week 3: Transitioning the ready stance into striding and lunging effectively.
Week 4: The Anchor Release - how top players use it to score goals from this stance.
Week 5: The Effortless Chop and Release - a simple yet powerful technique for scoring goals that most players never learn.
Week 6: Mindset and Positioning - adapting your mindset from a grinder to a goal scorer as you master the Hockey Ready Stance.
We’ll explore how NHL stars like Jack Eichel naturally utilize this stance to dominate on the ice, and how you can practice it both on and off the ice to elevate your game.
Join us as we uncover the standards of the Hockey Ready Stance and help you become a more effective and prepared player on the ice. Join us inside Train 2.0+.

Bring your stick in closer to you when you think they will try to put the puck through the middle. Many defenders leave a large gap in their tripod stance when skating backwards
