Now this is an instructional video on the wrist that explains exactly how they work correctly. If anyone is trying to learn golf or start golf this video with a basic video on grip would be instrumental on learning the golf swing correctly from the beginning and not engraving bad swing faults and having to unlearn them.

Can’t thank you enough for your videos - they just make sense. I am a “self taught” golfer who was able to play some very good then very bad golf even on the same 9 holes never mind 18. 3 months ago this reached a peak and I decided to revisit driver and irons. I had seen so many RUclips instructors about aiming right, hitting up, stance, grip etc. I had never considered wrist angles. Then I found your videos and the concentration on wrist angles and it made sense. I played yesterday with the revamped style and, after a slightly shaky start, I had one of my best rounds ever including 6 birdie putts (only 1 converted!!) . many thanks.

Rob you are a genius who has explained the golf swing in so much scientific detail that any normal person can understand and implement it. This is one quintessential video you have produced that covers all the details of a golf swing.Wish you could give lessons in Canada.it is still important to have feedback from the instructor to know what you are doing right or wrong.

Thank you for this. I have been playing for less than a year and wrist position, releasing is the most bewildering part of the game for me. Many golfing terms are not really explained to beginners and there can be a tendency to assume we already understand them. For the first time I understand what wrist release means and what it should look like. Thanks 😃

Thank You Rob...Rob's work is some of the best on the internet - hands down - I have such a better understanding of the most important parts of the swing that I'm astounded. I'm a 4 index so decent player but never understood - wrist cock, trailing elbow, shallowing, hips, weight shift - etc... to the extent I do now and the drills are really fantastic. I just bought the Hanger and we'll see how that goes. Thank You Rob...

Very good information. I believe the ceneral idea is that the left wrist stays flat into and through impact. I see varying opinions on what happens to the lead wrist after that. Some instructors think that the left wrist goes into extension, and some teach that it stays flat all the way to the end of the swing. Whatever works, I guess.

Magic absolute magic. Love this video and your breakdown. I found that this was the missing piece with my swing, I’m a forearm rotator on the back swing which opens the face way up like you said and makes it almost impossible to hit a shot that isn’t weak and right. This is the first thing I would teach if I was a teacher of the golf swing. If you can get the student hitting powerful shots right away the game becomes so much more fun and enjoyable that learning becomes addictive! Nice job!!

I watched a session with another wrist control training aid with another golf teacher of the year, where I walked away with the idea of proposed twisting of the the leading wrist towards the end. it caused a phase of endless slicing during golf practice.
Here the explanations given are a notch above other advice. Even the previous video helped me to make corrections right away after experiencing a slice.

Another excellent teaching Rob! I've been having difficulty at my lessons for some reason, releasing early even though practicing daily at home with exagerated shaft lean. The videos ( at my golftec) show my lower body firing quicker than my hands/arms. I've practiced the punch drill for hours and have a divot board as well. I'm able to do it all correctly at home but at the lessons, with a ball in place, the brain and body go rogue. I'm going to try this drill with the right foot back. My swing thought is (at P6) to "wait for it" before releasing. Thank you for your excellent explanations and concise teaching. You're the best!

I have found this video very helpful as I have been struggling with my wrists and subsequently club face control. One question I have is regarding how "loose" the wrists should be to create more speed and "snap" in the swing. I've been reading quite a bit about the transferring of power down to the clubhead and an awareness of the clubhead particularly during the transition. Wondering is Rob would comment or perhaps put together a video on the subject. Thanks, Rob!

Hit hard then stop is crazy good...gonna try this bowler drill.....this supination of the wrists on downswing and trying to time this...leads to hooks..get to handsy....analogy to swinging gate on putts...need perfect timing ...to get it square....im trying to get the hands out of my golf swing...its to hard to time this...i want to coordinate the downswing rotation with the large muscles...the turn....as the body turns the club follows the body and releases....i find it to hard to consiously focus on supinating left wrists..or extending r wrist on downswing to square club at impact...the timing has to be perfect....just like swinging gate on putts...focusing on turning and follow through and letting the body lead and hands follow leads to less of a timing issue.....this is difficult.

Excellent instruction from you as usual Rob. So well explained and easy to follow. That device appears to be very worthwhile. Perhaps if many of us had the use use of that years ago, we might be now more competent golfers. Leaving Gloom Island and heading south in 2 weeks time for a few months, unless flight restrictions come into play, as is the case with the French. I trust you are all well and that Covid is not impacting life too much in Singapore. Wishing you a Happy Xmas and New Year.

Well I purchased in the U.K. it's expensive but probably worth it. I have used it just once on the range and I have been amazed at the result. I have never connected clubhead and ball like that in my life. The contact was something I have never previously experienced. The feeling of contacting the ball with a flat left wrist was a revalation. There is obviously a lot of work to do with it but it was a great start.
The only thing to be aware of is that the top part can rub the skin on the forearm so next time I will keep the arm covered. Perhaps I overdid it.

Hi Rob. I bought The Hanger based on your first video, as I thought it would help stop me taking the club back to much on the inside - something that I have been struggling with for many years. Unfortunately, it didn't actually help. Because it is plastic and flexible, all that happened was that the Hanger pressed against my left forearm and I ended up with a nasty bruise. I even tried wrapping my forearm in tape before using it, but although this lessened the pain, it didn't stop me coming back on the inside and shutting the face. Any suggestions?
