Shell is good for long rides. On the other hand, Castrol performs better in city conditions. Based on the experience of riding my bike 16000 kilometres.
Good to know about your experience.
In the city traffic engine heats more compared to the highway. So an engine oil that has more cooling capabilities or maximum oil temperature is low is always goof for city rides.

Now my mileage decreased from 52kmpl to 42kmpl Compare to Company engine oil that is R7000 10W30 Semi Synthetic oil

We have not tested Liqui Moly yet so cant say the best one.
Every engine oil performs different in different vehicle.
In Yamaha FZ15 we have seen SHELL performances better than Castrol, Motul and Yamahalube. But in Classic 350 BS6, Motul is better than Shell.

Go with SHELL. If from the starting you are using Fully Synthetic oil then use FS oil or else Shell Mineral.

Activa 3G me koi bhi branded mineral oil use karo koi issue nahi hai. par service 2500-3000 km me hi kare, koi issue nahi hoga.
I have been using shell oil for my Avenger for more than 40 k kilometres ,and it work best
Still no loss of power in engine ,top speed 105 maintain,no heating issue in summer and no starting problem in winter

For discover 125 ST which oil will you recommend ? Engine is getting heated too much for just 3 to 4 km run. I am from Pune.
Engine oil getting heated too early recommended to visit garage.
As per our tests so far, go with Shell or Motul.

I usually buy oils online. Some brands and grades are not available online so need to search them offline.

Please explain about the oil consumption. It is showing half of Castrol. Does it mean double range than Castrol?
Total oil filled in grams - Oil drained in grams = oil consumption

On every service engine oil shoulf be changed. For every bike service interval is different. Better check this in the user manual.

Hero Glamour doesnt require fully synthetic engine oil. Mineral oil is enough. Just change it btw 2500-3000 km.

Use Shell 10W 40 FS.
The lower viscosity could explain why Shell gets more mileage
this can be one of the reason. There are many more factors.

@@hiteshsorte4732 i have not tested Shell Ultra so can't comment on it. So far as per our subjective results Shell is one of the best engine oil for all routes.
We did a 1000 km continuous ride in a day for this test and as per the rider, the engine performance was best among all the oils we have tested so far on this project.

Bro hello there. I hope things are good for you in your country. Must be damn hot nowadays. I recently bought myself a Sym Jetx 125cc. I was gonna grab Shell's oil for scooters but it seems it is not available in my country. Only AX7 is available, not the AX7 Scooter. I have found Castrol 1 for Scooters and couldn't go where Motul is sold because places were closed. I just hit 510kms with it. I am 29. My first motorcycle. I use it with my wife. We weigh 150kgs together. The most distance I will be using it to is like 35kms anyway maybe 150 tops

Seems you have less options to buy SHELL or MOTUL. The best oil for your Scooter will be Shell. Anyways you can used Castrol. Just change it on time recommeded by the manufacturer. The engine & ride will be fine.

For Activa 3G 10W30 mineral oil is fine. Try SHELL.

you are getting very good mileage. We have ridden continuously 1000 km in a day. We were exceeding the economy range speed. 40-80 kmph is recommended for best mileage.

Sir one doubt i used eneos mobil oils before. Now am going to shell before that i should wash my engine with any other oil or products. Or i can simply change it which will be good sir.
It depends on your budget. Option 1: use flusher, Option 2: Use use same engine oil for flushing. You can also change it simply...after 2 times it will be home for Shell.

Rate of cooling will obv be less for shell since temperature to which it reach is also less.
this doesn't happens every times. In some oils we have seen the temperature is very high and it cools very fast.

I m not aware of Valvoline. But if you regular change the engine oil between 2500-3000 km it will work better. Vehicle regular service of time is very essential.
Shell ad Motul performance will be better than the current oil you are using.
