I do not know what state you live in, in NJ we have to pay 7% State Sales Tax on a car purchase. If we trade the car to the dealer for $28,000, we would save $1,960 in Sales Tax, so that would mean we would have to sell the car privately for $30,000 to make sense selling it that way. How does it work where you live?

I have a 15 with 57,000 miles and dealers have offered 30k Smh one 32k the highest offer. (NYC)

Almost 100k miles and 6 years old is 30-33k on average so 28 for a buy bid makes sense 🤷🏻♂️
When I used to take mine to get something done i noticed that they were driving it a lot bc of the miles in the dashboard
