The gremlins in your system are really just schedule updates the system is performing. Just like the iPhone, the Chrysler systems received updates while the vehicle is off. Once the vehicle is turned on the update is performed. Larger updates will notify the driver that an update has been received and ask if they want to proceed. If it’s a small update, it runs in the background without driver input. It will turn off some non-essential safety systems like blind spot monitoring and some Uconnect features until update is completed. Some of the small updates are federal directed Security patches... or as some people call them... Access patches. Yes, big brother is always watching!
Thank you for your time and honest review. I live in the Australian Hot Tropics and 2nd hand Trackhawks here start at $130,000 and go as high as $180,000 (2018-2020 models). I have been considering purchasing a Trackhawk and of course I wanted to do my homework before purchasing. I got as far as you saying the body lines aren't perfect and you get what you pay for. That and headlights are $1400 US was enough to change my mind as here in Australia we also have to consider exchange rate, shipping and taxes on anything imported over $1000. Not to mention a mechanic that actually knows what they are doing especially since they charge between $120-160 per hour plus GST. If purchasing one here isn't enough to send you broke, from what I now here, owning one has a big chance of doing it with trying to keep it on the road. Thanks for your honesty.
Just get a SRT man. I live in Aus as well, the prices are absurd. You’d be able to get a used SRT for 60-100k and it’ll get you 80% of the way to a trackhawk for half the price.

I did however have a weird issue where the bottom bolt of the powersteering pump came loose causing the belt to slip once and caused constant belt squealing. Tightened the bolt and everything's good now.

Still unaware of the exact reason! One Dodge dealership said one of my antennas might be damaged or not responding and shutting the system off. Other than that it runs perfect! Almost 100k miles.
Carbon Fibre trim replacement now covered under warranty regardless. Water pump has 12 years warranty replacement. Fuel door hinge pin can work its way up and out of lower hinge bracket. Pop hinge pin back into lower bracket hole. Suggest drilling very small hole into hinge pin tail and push metal paper clip through pin to hold hinge pin securely from working its way up and out of lower hinge again. Hinge pin pulls up due to sprung spring located on top of the hinge pin.

Hi, I am seriously considering purchasing a trackhawk. I noticed that there are still 2018 versions being sold as new. Would you recommend purchasing a 2018 even though we are now in 2020? Also, how aggressive should I be with getting the msrp lower when purchasing new from the dealership? Have you heard of any special incentives or rebates that are being offered? Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Thanks for the info Ron. I'm hoping to purchase a low mileage Trackhawk next year to replace my 12 300 SRT. Take care Sir and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I like Jeep grand Cherokee‘s but aside from some leather they always have a cheap feel inside on some of the items. I drive an Acadia. It’s not exactly luxury but man it feels better with build quality than the Jeep grand Cherokees I’ve been in
What is the symptom of lifter failures? You mention your friend just had it but no details. Is it something like you're driving down the road and next thing, your lifters are breaking through the covers? You didn't say much about it other than "watch out for lifter failures".
I have 2017 SRT. The carbon fiber trim had come up on one of the door panels. Fixed under warranty. However on the passenger side the trim is starting to feel loose and the dealer won’t fix until it actually comes up. Bummer. Also I have a rattle coming from the rear of the cabin. Seems to rattle at low speed(30-50 mph). I can’t figure out the source of the rattle. Drives me crazy. Temp solution is to crank up the music.
In one of your videos you mention how we arent to use 87 octane... my closest gas station only has 87 which i avoid but would i be ok with 87 and additional octane booster?

The new 2021 version is for the SRT, the Trackhawk or both ? I am looking for a good bargain on the SRT, but if they come up with a new model next year, I’d rathe wait, as that would makes its price drop further in used market.
Is the SRT suitable for very hot GCC countries ? Isn’t it comparatively better than German cars in 50degrees Celsius (122F)? 😀. Is it very expensive to maintain out of warranty after 100,000 km ?
Rami Abdelkhalek Not sure on the first part but it’s no more expensive than a regular JEEP for upkeep after the warranty expires although if be more comfortable leasing and always having a warranty in that situation

how is it doing with twisty roads ? i am thinking to buy one 2013 and wondering about its stability performance i had the 2011 v6 and it was not that good
I have a '17 SRT with 27k miles currently giving me trouble with the transfer case/Differentials, says Electronic Stability Control needs to be serviced and front & rear diffs are locked 100% of the time because of this issue so I had to stop driving it altogether. When the codes are cleared with a scan tool, it works perfectly again for a couple of days.
Hey I’m choosing between the jeep srt vs the 5.7l, honestly, the transfer case issue is the only thing stopping me from getting an srt. How bad is this transfer case issue? Don’t want to talk replace that more than once.
Check the wiring for the dampeners (wires along the rear suspension), some people have that issue because the wiring came loose and rubbed against one of the rear axles.

alex Chuprin these are Japanese vehicles though different ball game buddy
alex Chuprin Lol
Don't rub it in lool I've had 3 camrys in the past with no issues at all (98. '00, '03) but I was lacking in power/passion with toyotas.
ticking sound comes from the water pump? nice viedo man
Hi, I am seriously considering purchasing a trackhawk.
There will never be rebates or incentives on a SRT or trackhawk, they do no need to boost interest.
Looking to get a 2018 srt jeep soon 🖤this was a very helpful video
Thank you for the heads up...Im thinking in getting a 2020 TrackHawk... And the information you provided. Im going to sent it to Forza tuning in Florida for total upgrade stage 4, which is expensive. Im not looking in racing it but as a collector.
So it's just going to sit there? Wow. Must be nice to have that kind of cash on hand.
i like these track hawks.....but i am spolied with toyota reliability and my 2JZGTE engine having 100K plus miles problem free with just fluid changes.
should i get a trackhawk im lowkey contemplating now im not sure might as well buy a gtr if ima waste all this money on my trackhawk to fix it .
My 5.7 water pump failed at 105,000 miles
Why’s he surprised about getting the pump & chain/belt changed at 50k?
It’s a high performance vehicle and this guy thrashes his vehicles, I’m sure... mad fast car, who wouldn’t right?
But you shouldn’t be surprised when having these problems
Make sure you get the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty if you buy one of these. Buy Certified!!!!!!!
Thanks for the info Ron. I'm hoping to purchase a low mileage Trackhawk next year to replace my 12 300 SRT. By the way, Chrysler was cool enough to replace all my carbon fiber trim on my 7 year old vehicle. I'm sure that won't be the case if a lifter on my 392 fails though. Take care Sir and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
How much you have in the dash. May be interested in purchasing your 300
Would a 12 300 srt be a good buy? Im highly considering one
Luv the content ron!
Leroy Scott Thanks brother!
I’ll be purchasing a 2018 TrackHawk in a few months, what info do you have on them?
Thanks for wonderful information that really help
I have 2017 SRT. The carbon fiber trim had come up on one of the door panels. Fixed under warranty. However on the passenger side the trim is starting to feel loose and the dealer won’t fix until it actually comes up. Bummer. Also I have a rattle coming from the rear of the cabin. Seems to rattle at low speed(30-50 mph). I can’t figure out the source of the rattle. Drives me crazy. Temp solution is to crank up the music.
I've heard the rear roof spoiler getting loose and rattling, might want to check that.
Cvalle23 thanks. I’ll check that out.
Jeff Hand I had this too. It was the springs under the rear seats. Dealer sorted it.
Very Helpful! Thanks for the Information
The blower motor must be a GC thing period. My wife has the limited and turned on the heat and nothing happened.
In one of your videos you mention how we arent to use 87 octane... my closest gas station only has 87 which i avoid but would i be ok with 87 and additional octane booster?
2013 SRT8
- carbon fiber trim peeling....check
- blower for the climate control system failure....check (replaced twice now)
When you were unhappy with your first Jeep, why did you buy another Jeep.. obviously you liked it!!!
8:19 Scotty Kilmer's Toyota Celica 😂
My dad tells me the trackhawk is trash just unbalanced over powered suv 🤷♀️ I want one still till this day an like I said I ain’t stopping
I’m only 3 mins into video so u might already answer question do u think I should keep going for this goal or find something else ? To shoot for
My srt running/park lights (front ribbon and tail) go but if engine running do not go... Park brake on and trans in P. If push light switch in, fog lights, ribbon lights and tail light go, two pushes and rear bumper fogs also go. Anyone else noticed this?
21 export model SRT RHD
I have a 2019 GC SRT8 I have 21k miles on it and is currently in the shop having the front wheel bearings replaced FOR THE THIRD TIME! No one can figure out wtf is going on. Anyone else have this issue?
I have a charger scat pack and love it. But being in Chicago I much rather go for a jeep SRT. Maybe even a trackhawk if the money's right. Do you know if it's been confirmed for a redesign for 2021?
Xavier Otero YEa, in 2021 it will be a new design. New platform. The WL line
@@EastCoastJeepSRT i wonder if jeep will wait an extra year to release an SRT version of it and make it a 2022 model for the newer platform. Hopefully not lol.
How many times have you wrecked guts in your SRT/Trackhawk?
How is the adaptive cruse and lane keep assist on the track hawk? Usable or trash
Usable
Hmmmm, I own a SRT since 2014 bought it new then and I had nothing, really nothing on it since then 🤷🏼♂️.
Congrats? 🤷🏻♂️
I preferred a trackhawk then, thanks bro👍🏻
I have a 16 srt that I bought in 17 with 800 miles on it so technically brand new now it has 9500 and I’ve never had any issues besides the carbon fiber but I got mine replaced for free. My husband just sold his 12 300 srt ( as you know has the same damn thing) that was pro charged and tuned and never had any issue and he beat the shit out of that car. I guess it’s luck of the draw.
It's a great car, just that some people like to bitch about alot of things considering the car price, if the car runs that's all that matters to me
My 2019 Jeep srt has 10k miles no issues yet (I heard that lifter issue is only if you don’t use the factory srt oil )
Anthony Perrotto not true it doesnt matter what oil you use they fail point blank period
SRT HEMI I believe you
What I fine hard to believe is that they know about it and haven’t changed the lifters in all new engines
I spy I-95 👍🏻
Can anyone assist , i just bought a 2017 with 100k km on it when u pull off from a stop it has a thomp sound from the rear almost as if a bowling ball is in the boot.🤣 . Any guidance will be appreciated
Change transfercase fluid
@@93jummy thanks ill give it a shot
I’m a truck driver too. No need to say we are slow.
So you are fast then?
I have a 2013 right now at 80k miles and sitll love it, water pump, carbon fiber, and ABS module had to be replaced and still causes some odd gear changing going slow up hill. Anyone else have the ABS module issues? Thinking of upgrading to a 2018 but not sure if I want to.
how is it doing with twisty roads ?
i am thinking to buy one 2013 and wondering about its stability performance
i had the 2011 v6 and it was not that good
Abdullah El Hashimy I think the body rolling improve after 2012
I have a '17 SRT with 27k miles currently giving me trouble with the transfer case/Differentials, says Electronic Stability Control needs to be serviced and front & rear diffs are locked 100% of the time because of this issue so I had to stop driving it altogether. When the codes are cleared with a scan tool, it works perfectly again for a couple of days.
Your control module is probably going out. I had the same issue with mine. Luckily I was still under warranty and they changed it for free.
Hey I’m choosing between the jeep srt vs the 5.7l, honestly, the transfer case issue is the only thing stopping me from getting an srt. How bad is this transfer case issue? Don’t want to talk replace that more than once.
Nii look t many failures that I know of with stock Jeep SRTs, just the Trackhawk
soooooo basically don't buy a Jeep SRT ?
Anyone having Service adaptive air suspension error? Car stays in rough suspension mode
Check the wiring for the dampeners (wires along the rear suspension), some people have that issue because the wiring came loose and rubbed against one of the rear axles.
Wouldn't exteneded warranty cover all this?
I’m scared to buy a trackhawk because of these but I don’t even have my license yet. 😣
Mopars are like women if you baby them and take care of em they’ll leave you for the first thing they see but if you’re hard on her make her scream ride her around the corners she’ll treat ya good, be safe out there kid
Is your dad a Saudi prince? If not .. your getting a used 2008 Honda Civic when you get your license someday 👍🏼.
Had it( cam lifter failure)happen on my 2012 jeep grand Cherokee overland 5.7 hemi with 110k on it! Over 5k job.😪 Fiat Chrysler corporate said it was normal with 100k vehicles. 🤔😡 Thank goodness I had an extended warranty . Route 66 extended warranty in which I highly recommend! They took care of it.
Nekdi Nekane Nithvgwa Stephenson Do you mean 100k KM or Miles?
Alistair Robertson miles I believe
Is the trackhawk worth the money??? Make a video about that
Kevin Shijaku Compared to an SRT or just in general?
EastCoastJeepSRT compared to the SRT. What you think?
mathx yazz Absolutely. If you don’t plan on going faster and are content with how fast the SRT is, then it’s better to get the SRT. However, if you wanna go fast and plan to mod, the Trackhawk is a no-brainer. It’s already beefed-up in many areas that will cost an SRT owner thousands to do.
EastCoastJeepSRT in general, i am trying to get one after graduating from college but i have heard people say that it will bring you a lot of problems, i appreciate your response. Great content!
So Trackhawks don’t have common issues is what I’m gaining from this video? 🤔
Aside from the transfer case issue, no
I heard the other day that the JGC TrackHawk is lighter than a JGC SRT. I don’t see how this could be, any truth to this?
good info
I have read somewhere that post MY16 SRT Hemi 6.4L, the lifter issue has been addressed or is no longer a common issue? Is this true?
Ernest Hack Not 100% the 16s and you have been fixed. I know the 2015s are prone to it.
Chrysler, dodge , jeep Is like the hyundai of american cars
No
This vids are helpful
Is the Trackhawk availible without the Carbonfiber trim?
No, but I have yet to see a Trackhawk have one peel. So far so good
I'm having an issue with the fcw sensor, the ball in the front anyone else experience this?
Ughhh an I literally convinced my wife to get one today……. Now I don’t want too
All cars have issues. Don’t be afraid of your purchase and enjoy it
Whats a warny 😁
Damn and I was gonna get one I’ll probably just stick to bmw but can’t lie that jeep is fire no cap 🧢 does the problem come from beating on the it tho just wondering
I haven’t had a single warranty issue that needed to be fixed on the Hawk so far. 45k miles and the stuff that did break was from modifying and racing
@@EastCoastJeepSRT ok thank Yu
Wrong SUV to take on a Long trip & in Philadelphia that F*^ked up city don’t repair roads, finally 95 is getting done and Route 1 is horrible
Why did u get rid of ur SRT??
Leshawn Walker I traded it in for a Trackhawk
@@EastCoastJeepSRT Would u suggest getting a SRT??? If so... what yr??
Leshawn Walker I would suggest getting a Trackhawk but if you were to get an SRT get a 2020 or wait to see what the new WL 2021 will look like
@@EastCoastJeepSRT Whts the ..WL???
@@leshawnwalker8439 Current generation is called WK2, the new redesigned Jeep GC will have chassis code WL.
What dealer in PA did you get yours at?
Chapman Horsham Jeep
9mpg on a long family drive??? why tho?
Umm what? On a road trip to Florida we averaged 17 mpg highway with a 1000+ HP Trackhawk, so not sure why you think it’s 9? In the city beating on it, yes. Road-trip? Nah
I'm better off buying a Toyota Highlander
What is an MDS?
Pcm cuts half your cylinders when your not on the throttle hard
