This is why I put my autistic 4yo son in ISR swim lessons. Mine loves water too. The apartment complex needs a better gate if small kids can slip in. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a gate
I hope this mother was able to get child safety locks. Being around precocious children I have learned that they are easy to slip away. You must always be aware
I... Don't think precocious and autism fit together. Autism is a disorder known for developmental DELAYS not EARLY development. Yes this could have been a horrible thing to find your son drown in your own pool. You have a pool you should know the risk having small children. This is probably not the first time he got out. Parents need to be held responsible having a pool and the dangers it can cause for children.
This is called elopement and half of autistic individuals engage so this. At this point, I hope the mom purchases safety locks so that this little guy doesn’t elope in the future!

drowning is really terrifying. and the more you panic the more it gets worse. I had a similar experience before when i was 7 or 8 years old. The streets are flooded and there was an uncovered manhole. I have never hated water but during that time the water seemed like a demon with intent of killing you. I gasped for air but only the cold dirty water goes in my mouth. The water was flowing so aggressively and I tried to grasped anything I could around me, around that turbulent chaos where you dont know if you are upside down or what, luckily there was another uncovered man hole up ahead where the water is more shallow. I grabbed the ledge of the hole and pulled myself forward against the current. that's how i got out of it. my nose smell like sewer water for a week
I remember almost drowning in a public pool when I was like 7? Maybe 8... I was saved by another little kid with a floaty. I didn't tell my mom about it until I was an adult, she was pretty upset even though it had been like 20 years since it happened by the time I told her. My older brother was supposed to have been watching me because I wasn't a strong swimmer, but I wanted to go down the slide in the deep end, he said he would and so I went, but when I landed in the water and didn't see him I panicked and started sinking, not even the lifeguard on duty noticed, if it hadn't been for that other random kid like me who reached out from his doughnut floaty and grabbed me, I would have drowned surrounded by people.
I almost drowned in a lazy river in a water park surrounded by people and inner tubes. It was one of the scariest and most traumatizing experiences of my life, I felt so utterly alone even though I could reach out and touch hundreds of people around me. No one cared to help me. I hate water parks now and won't go to them anymore.
@@thamertanner5448 In that moment the only thing that was scary was that I was drowning--but looking back as an adult, I have a niece and a nephew, thankfully both are very strong swimmers, is that no one bothered to pay attention, if they had I'm sure an adult would have helped me, but it took another child to save me. A few years back, my nephew was around 9 or so and we were all in the pool, my sister who is his mother, my nephew, my niece who's older, my sister's friend and her soon who is my nephew's age... we were getting ready to leave and the adults, and older niece who would have been around 16 at the time were at the other end of the pool from the two boys, my nephew threw the boy into the deep end playing not realizing he didn't know how to swim without his floating device, the second he did it we all noticed, and my nice jumped into the pool, but my nephew went right in after his buddy and pulled him out before anyone else got there. We were all paying attention, and went right in after him, and still its very scary how easy he could have drowned if my nephew who was there playing with him wouldn't have been such a strong swimmer at such a young age. So imagine when people aren't paying attention.
I was in my late teens when at a water park wave pool I mistimed the waves and jumped up when the wave was high and went down when the wave was low. I went over to my girlfriend's apartment for lunch one day, I glanced out the window and noticed a small shadow at the bottom of the apartments swimming pool. Bolted out the door and over the fence around the pool then jumped in in full uniform. Pulled the kid out and started CPR. About three minutes in he heaves up a ton of water and starts breathing and comes to. The kids mom runs up and I tell her he needs to get to the emergency room. This crazy lady runs him into her apartment and I don't think she took him to the doc. I got back to my unit and, still dripping wet, I walked up to my First Sargent and told him I was done for the day. He tried to tell me I wasn't but after I told him what had happened he was cool with it. Scared the living crap out of me and took hours for my hands to stop shaking.

It's only 2-4 feet deep so no big risk of drowning, just below freezing water. We all ran in and pulled him over to the side, he was somewhat conscious but not making any sense. We ran and got our dad who wheel barrowed him up to the house and set him by the fire. I remember once he regained his wits he started cussing us all out and my dad made us leave the room. drowning is really terrifying. and the more you panic the more it gets worse.

This is totally terrifying. 30 years ago I had the same experience. I was in the army stationed at Fort Bliss.

At least my mom got me swimming lessons but the mom of the inground pool would have done it for me if mom didnt. I was always in this big bulky orange life vest.. but this child can not understand swimming lessons, unfortunately.. so, people have to really be on guard for him.
This is the kind of news we desperately need now
YES! we CELEBRATE THIS NEWS, blessings to the neighbor and to the child!!!
Bless the heart of that brave man, bless that child and hope he lives a long and happy life. Thanks for sharing this news ❤
Having the time he fell in and the 3 minutes it took for him to get there that's a long time I'm glad he's alright
This is the kind of story that shows there is still hope for us as a species. Great job to this man!
*They should have let him drown, for being dumb enough to run into a pool when he can’t swim! It’s like jumping out of a plane with no parachute. Not the smartest child.* 🤦🤷♂️🤣
I’m pretty certain 99.9% of people would do the same thing.
I was around 6 when I got sucked under by a rip current!! Was the scariest thing in the world!! Luckily a man seen me get sucked under and rescued me. God bless this man and his son for saving that kid!! Need more people like them in this world!!
It wasn't a daughter. A long haired son.
Thanks for correction 🤓
The both of yous are true heroes. Thank you for helping and saving this little fella out 👏👏👏👏
Finaly a hero and some good news
This father and his daughter are Heroes, angel . God bless. This was a scary moment. Glad that the baby is doing fine.
Boy not a girl
@@chelliem1451 Yeah okay. Some of us don't play that game.
@@Itsmeagain828 what game?
@@Itsmeagain828 dawg 💀💀 u acting as if boys can’t grow out their hair
@@Itsmeagain828 wtf are you talking about? The game of calling a boy a boy? Wtf you on?
Awesome save by a dad and his quick thinking daughter! I believe many of us know of a family that’s lost a child in a similar way.
They refer to him as his son twice. Think he just has long hair probably.
Yeah his son just has long hair
that was awesome man.. 100% we need like 1000x more people like this in the world... rather than those that pull out their phone to create footage of a persons last moments..
Seeing things like these really does make me feel Iike there is angels around us ❤️ He jumped in there without any hesitation
As someone who happened to save my younger brother from the same fate (when he was 2-3 years old, I almost 10) I salute them!
Wonderful brother he has!! 🧡 Blessings 🌿
Atta boy maddox. I had a moment like this around that age with my 2 brothers. it was December and an old man came floating by us in the river that runs behind our backyard. Pops later told me the man was trying to take his life so he could go be with his wife. He was probably in his 80's maybe 90's. We thought we were doing the right thing, but maybe we robbed that guy. He's definitely passed on now though, hope you found her, old boy who came floating by in a puffy coat and cussed me out while sitting by the fire in my parents basement.
Or perhaps one day he had a smile on his face, and remembered you and thanked you in his mind, for enabling him to enjoy a moment that he never would have if you boys didn't save him... An honorable act regardless. You did what was right in the moment. Even though it may have been naive, you wouldn't have known that if you didn't save him
Its always the right decision to help. To end your live there should be legal, safe procedures without needing to resort jumping into a river.

Nah!
I'm still bitter to this day!!
😜
Amazing job. Having pulled a young boy from the bottom of a pool myself it's crazy how emotional of a situation it is. If you get the chance take a first aid and cpr class. You never know when someone's life will need to be saved.
Thank YOU for your help of that young boy..it's a good feeling, for sure!! Blessings 🌿

This gave me heart palpitations and terrible anxiety. Was about to cry when that boy's Dad jumped in to save him. Thank you to that little boy and his Father for thinking and acting fast. You're heros. 🙏❤️🖖
