They use it to manufacture consent. Because the only power the corporation known as the US has, is the belief by the ppl that it has power. The US corporation is separate from the government of the United States of America. And that corporation cares about what all corporations do. The media focuses on the spectacle of right vs left and never discus the things ppl need to know, because the media companies understand their role in the corporate environment. James Corden has done nothing to deserve his level of fame. It feels like an injustice that someone like him is able to rise so far up, but I guess the higher you get the longer the fall.
I originally hated James Corden because he replaced Craig Ferguson and completely ruined the late late show, now I hate him because of literally everything else he's ever done I cannot understand why he's even a thing
Because he got the job given to him by another Brit - not an American. They couldn't care less about him. And as far as ''his'' success goes, it's more about the fact that they gave him 99% of the best guests out there, and people tuned in for them, not him.
as a fat person, I can tell you the best strategy is to own it. I make more fat jokes about myself than anybody else, and I work in a place with 7 smart asses who look for any reason to make jokes. at first one tried a fat joke, I doubled down so hard it never came up again.
As a former fat ass that got his shit together, I fully agree this fat acceptances is bullshit. Fat shaming is somewhat needed, but the real issue is that until a person has a internal epiphany nothing is gonna get through to them and they'll see anything from help or well meaning criticism has hateful and negative. You gotta help yourself first before you're able to accept help from others.
Something about James Corden. He feels like an easy person to hate and to enjoy hating on. Not that I do that any more, but the feeling in my stomach is there.
Asmon is right about fat shaming. I'm overweight and I have a choice to do more about it but I don't. When I was in the best shape of my life I was being "bullied", playfully, by a coworker and it motivated me like nothing else.
Its ok to feel bothered and angry but you are still responsible for what you do next, your actions and verbalizations. My Councillor said "Its ok to feel any feelings that you have, all feelings are natural. But its what you do with that feeling, is your responsibility"
The best(worst) part is that at the height of James Corden oversaturation where his personality was being exposed on top of people just getting sick of seeing him, the prank where he was dancing around in a busy intersection wearing an animal onesie went viral.
The Colbert Report was hilarious. I actually got to see that show live once in NY and it was awesome. Real shame that Colbert isn’t funny like at all anymore. His late night show is painful.
One of the reasons I couldnt stand this guy is he was in everything. You couldn't get away from him for a few years, he had constant cameos and he felt like an overused meme that wouldn't go away.
Patrick Stewart seems to have a righteous ego in that he didn’t need to call him out and chastise James during the even in front of peers and people. Do it privately out of respect.
Fat shaming is so fucking stupid... how can a normal person accept being overweight?? I'm overweight and i know it's wrong and i try everyday to eat more healthy but i would never accept it and get angry when someone reminds me to lose weight like wtf?! Of course people will remind me i'm getting bigger and i actually want them to so i get some motivation instead of throwing a fit...
Corden would have come out easily on top against Patrick Stewart if he didn't go onto his face with a smirk to basically prove that he's rude intentionally and not accidentally. If he did take it and then complained about it somewhere else and reiterating how nicely he presented Stewart, everyone would have been on his side. But yeah, the thing is that it's not just one or two moments where he was a total dicc, he's always a dicc out of camera and occasionally on camera.
I didn’t know about the Sir Patrick Stewart thing and the fact that he came out of that interaction convinced he was in the right is absolutely insane 😆
You know, this bit about how it's okay to be pissed with paparazzi, it reminds me of a line in One Piece. When fighting Captain Kuro, he says something about being wanted and how awful a price it is. Luffy then replies with, "If you don't want the infamy, then don't be a pirate!" It seems to me, if you don't like the attention, then don't be famous.
Well there are medical conditions like lipedema where kaloric restriction really doesn't work. On top genetic differences can have an influence on how well you digest or nah.
we all know patrick is a tad moody, but that is why i love him. Not a fan of an aggressive move into personal space, but he dealt with it like the gentleman he is. Always move to a story and i reckon we will never know the behind the scenes with these two, gotta be more because it seems it from the body language
When I was a teacher out West in my early 20s you just were on best behaviour. No matter who said or did what at the pub n what not you walked away and just went home if stuff would get out of hand. It was quite easy for me as I was always level headed but others had issues.
Asmon is 100% right. I would switch to respecting James Cordon if he went full villain mode. If he did come out and say "I was rude to people, I plan to continue to be rude to people. Come at me" and then start taking low level villain roles I'd start watching some stuff with him in it. Imagine if he played Hal from megamind, or Jack Horner from Puss in Boots 2. If he started playing the person people think he is then he would earn back so many fans. Plus he gets the added bonus of screaming profanity at any paparazzi.

Because he’s changed a lot over the past 8 years, and became a lot more intelligent when he opened is own business. I figure he began to open his eyes a little to his prior closed viewpoints. Even though he still has some of those, I think the more he works with his business, the more “based” he’ll become.
He's agent was on form though. He must have told him that here in the UK you just won't make it, you're not at all funny, zero wit, out classes by hundreds of thousands of UK TV presenters comedians show hosts etc, so he said to him, go to America, they love a chubby Brit and it will cover up the fact you're not funny at all. And it worked, the Americans lapped up the chubby Brit. They found him funny too, over here he was known as being very not funny🤷🏿♂️. Only in America as they say
As an American, hes genuinely one of the unfunniest entertainers I've seen. It blows my mind hes even remotely popular over here but I guess standards are just shir for comedy now if he can get famous lol He really might have a great agent
@@pspsmallz lol on behalf of Brits, sorry you got lumped with him 😂. He's a grifter, he knew he couldn't make it here so he tried elsewhere
Chubby is an interesting euphemism for morbidly obese
he's basically a triple cheeseburger with a mouth. as an american, a lot to like there. except the mouth.
Let's be honest, 80% of Craig Ferguson's American appeal was his accent. He'd say something mundane, in his accent, and people clapped like seals.
his neck and head and chin situation literally looks like the underside of one of my smaller toes

That is a literal burn to throw at someone and it’s hilarious af
It’s funny how Gordon in Spanish means big fat 🤣
I thought that was gordo, not Gordon?
@@pugsley201 Gordo is fat, but -on can be used an augmentative, suffix, the opposite of how -ito is a diminutive suffix.
What does Corden mean in Spanish?
I actually liked his role on two episodes of Doctor Who when I was younger. That was my introduction to him. As he got popular and got his show and I started seeing more of him I really didn’t care for the stuff he was doing.
Side bar: as a Brit, Graham Norton is the best late night talk show host in the world. From America, it has to be Conan 100%. Never used to like him but as I've gotten older I've realized he's actually pretty normal and funny as fuck.
As an American, I can confirm that Graham Norton is the best late night talk show host in the world.
great host but so bad at stand up i would add. his channel four show really was made for him and it shows that he is just a pro in that role, i love that it is back on air now. Plus i do love his books as well. Conan is bloody awesome, i think that is due to him been a writer at heart. I still watch all the late shows and i think stephen and john are doing a good job. I enjoyed that podcast they all did and bill is a different vibe but good all the same.
00:25 why is his sleeve so dirty?
I just remember Brit’s saying if he fails over here, don’t send James cordon back to them
James crossing his arms looking like he's having a hissy fit in front of Patrick. What a man-child.
The thing that changed my mind about him was the new york waitress incident and the plane incident he had with his wife.
I feel the same way about bill Maher. It surprises me how out of touch with reality he is sometimes, but then every now and then he is so spot on its hard to believe he just said something stupid.
I think thats a mark of a good talkshow host though, to be super relatable sometimes and have great insights, but then sometimes provoke ppls emotions negatively. It does make him a bit more interesting than a lot of others
@chrisbradford881 maher's path has been so funny.
@@Arcexey yes lol. He's come around on so many things but will say something crazy, then something super based. I do understand other ppls perspectives though. Someone like him is not going to have 1st hand experience of a lot of things. Ppl like that go off data and what they know. So it's easier not to get upset over someone's opinion if you understand they may not have the same info or experience you do. I say this because I used to hate him.
@@Unknowngnostic yup, Maher has no clue about what it's like to be a normal person. The other day he made some comment saying that most Americans aren't suffering and are living "cushy lives." HAHAHAHHA LOLLLLLL, how completely out of touch he is.
I've seen him live twice and he's hilarious but really only at the anti-trump stuff.
Maher is still absolutely clueless in every way that Trump and Biden are the exact same thing, as are both parties.
He cannot accept that Trump is not some prime evil or the worst thing ever and merely just another corporate president.
The stuff I consider Maher right about, usually the anti-woke stuff, is just him picking low hanging fruit.
@@Arcexey right, exactly. If everyone in media acknowledged facts that are the low hanging fruit, then he wouldn't be good imo. It's because it's like "someone is actually saying it" kinda thing. But it should be obvious to everyone imo.
But I can appreciate he says it when so many don't
But yea, all of them are out of touch, and they don't care. Idt one is any different than another when it comes to politics and political parties. One may be better on an issue. But the real issue is....they probably are t being genuine they are manipulating, preying on the publics desire for change, or someone to speak up about this or that. They use it to manufacture consent. Because the only power the corporation known as the US has, is the belief by the ppl that it has power. The US corporation is separate from the government of the United States of America. And that corporation cares about what all corporations do. They will tell you what you want to hear while doing different things behind the scenes. The media focuses on the spectacle of right vs left and never discus the things ppl need to know, because the media companies understand their role in the corporate environment. Nepotism and perspective management is the name of the game. But they are losing the crown because they are so divorced from the reality most ppl experience, even tho I believe they are creating the divide intentionally. The corporate management vs the workers. What ppl think of as govt, is just the corporate structure set up to mimic the original govt of the USA. But because the masses don't know that, they think there is a difference between party's that matter and they are confused why the constitution doesn't seem to apply
I imagine he’d be one of the guys who would talk poorly on his show about someone hosting an event for a company full of harassment cases and horrible business practices against people + supporting child gambling so it’s funny he did something his people would tear someone else apart for doing
"alot of points might make a line".
havent heard that one before but i love it!
The thing is people can handle a person who is just plain grouchy. What they can't handle is when you go out of your way to treat other people like shit. And when they see you on tv pretending to be a nice guy that takes it to another level of hate.
well i just see that is acting and living in the moment for our entertainment, i never found him good and i watch alot of crap. He seems self aware enough and i kinda get why after new fame that he threw his weight about, seriously no pun meant there. We all pretend we are nice, but we also have that little fellow on the left shoulder so i think he allowed some chill time on him. Side note plain grouchy is my callings but been rude to folks is not a great vibe
Because he became too much like other fake ass US talkshow hosts. He should've interviewed them like a British person.
I think tou hit the nail on the head, he seemed to copy other hosts and not really be himself.
The BBC promoted him, and people who wouldn't know comedy from their arse thougt he was hilarious.
as a fat person, I can tell you the best strategy is to own it. I make more fat jokes about myself than anybody else, and I work in a place with 7 smart asses who look for any reason to make jokes. at first one tried a fat joke, I doubled down so hard it never came up again.
As tyrion says, make it your armor
Eminem does this in 8 mile.. it is thee best way to prevent bullying in a way
As a former fat ass that got his shit together, I fully agree this fat acceptances is bullshit.
Anymore? Sure bud

The Robot Skeleton Army misses Craig and Geoff.
The only thing James Corden is built for is a buffet.
The best(worst) part is that at the height of James Corden oversaturation where his personality was being exposed on top of people just getting sick of seeing him, the prank where he was dancing around in a busy intersection wearing an animal onesie went viral.
As a Briton, we had to endure Two And A Half Men on our TV (why does this show exist?). So we sent you James Corden just to even it out a bit.
Dastardly!
well played Nigel
This why we sent you the Kardashians
We need to send ya a few msm news casters.. 🙃🤦♂️👍 .. When our news wants to insult the constitution they bring in a Brit.. 🤷♂️
Ironically Harrison Fords "interview" in bruno was the only one in the movie where the celeb was in on it
The Colbert Report was hilarious. I actually got to see that show live once in NY and it was awesome. Real shame that Colbert isn’t funny like at all anymore. His late night show is painful.
Same here saw him and Jon a few days apart
Same problem as Ellen: when you make a career based on a super happy, friendly persona, you fall that much harder when people realize you're a POS
Love watching Asmon within minutes of the video coming out at 4 am because I'm redownloading a game.
Oddly specific
Imagine being in a photo with Bobby Kotick and STILL be the most hated person in the picture.
One of the reasons I couldnt stand this guy is he was in everything. You couldn't get away from him for a few years, he had constant cameos and he felt like an overused meme that wouldn't go away.
used to really like him when he played Smithy on Gavin and Stacey, good times
Patrick Stewart seems to have a righteous ego in that he didn’t need to call him out and chastise James during the even in front of peers and people. Do it privately out of respect.
I think the difference is that Patrick Stewert's ego is earned due to his work and career while Corden's just isn't.
@@Ashbrash1998 I can get on board with that
Fat shaming is so fucking stupid... how can a normal person accept being overweight?? I'm overweight and i know it's wrong and i try everyday to eat more healthy but i would never accept it and get angry when someone reminds me to lose weight like wtf?! Of course people will remind me i'm getting bigger and i actually want them to so i get some motivation instead of throwing a fit...
James Corden was good in those 2 Doctor Who episodes.
Money (or success) doesn't change you, it only shows who you really are.
I don't know why but asmon's react content is gold.
i would never have watched or known about what he reacts 2, so it is a win win for me
I've laughed way too much with Chat's "Carpull" Karaoke joke hahahaha
Corden would have come out easily on top against Patrick Stewart if he didn't go onto his face with a smirk to basically prove that he's rude intentionally and not accidentally. If he did take it and then complained about it somewhere else and reiterating how nicely he presented Stewart, everyone would have been on his side. But yeah, the thing is that it's not just one or two moments where he was a total dicc, he's always a dicc out of camera and occasionally on camera.
Exactly
I didn’t know about the Sir Patrick Stewart thing and the fact that he came out of that interaction convinced he was in the right is absolutely insane 😆
Having beef with Bill Marr is whatever everyone is allowed to do that but you cannot win a popularity contest with Sir Patrick Stewart
Conan O'brien is the GOAT
The guy is genuinely funny and treats his staff really well. I love watching his bits with Jordan.

James Cordens best work are the now banned Tango ads from the mid 90's. You can still find the said video's on RUclips. They are hilarious.

James Corden is currently two steps below being a "Sir." He's an OBE.
Just shows how ridicilous the honour system is in the UK unless certain people are "paying" for them?
Moist Critical hates this dude. 🤣

I think everyone does.
Ok?
You know, this bit about how it's okay to be pissed with paparazzi, it reminds me of a line in One Piece. When fighting Captain Kuro, he says something about being wanted and how awful a price it is. Luffy then replies with, "If you don't want the infamy, then don't be a pirate!" It seems to me, if you don't like the attention, then don't be famous.
Does this mean we can get Craig Ferguson back? He has become my favorite late night host.

we all know patrick is a tad moody, but that is why i love him.
