Actually it was the 22nd song on their setlist. They also played two other songs in acoustics (YOLO & Puzzle) which were not included on the BD/DVD between Mirage and Catharsis. www.setlist.fm/setlist/bandmaid/2020/line-cube-shibuya-tokyo-japan-6398163b.html
I saw this band in LA last September 30th. I have been to over 300 concerts going back to the Doors in October 1966 and let me tell you Band-Maid rates among the finest l have ever witnessed. Sacramento loves Band-Maid. You have about 95 more songs to go and nothing but quality throughout. They are simply the best. They are not JROK. Here is what the band founder Kobato Miku had to say in 2015 when asked about what type of band she had formed. Small pigeon replied "We are not an idol or (J)POP band. Please judge us by our sound. Po!" Now you know.
I love the history of how Band-Maid got together. Miku (rhythem guitarist) used to work in a Maid Cafe, and after a failed Idol career, she decided to fuse the Maid look with hard rock, so in 2013 she started BAND-MAID. Miku found Kanami (lead guitarist) via RUclips. Kanami had a channel where she wrote her own songs and played them. Kanami, in turn, knew Akane (drummer) from having her play the drums on some of her songs. Akane then got Misa (bassist) on board, who she knew from Music school. With this, they were 4. Miku was the lead singer, with Kanami on guitar, Akane on drums, and Misa on bass. They did one gig in 2013 as a 4 piece, but afterwords decided Miku didn't have the type of voice they wanted for a hard rock band, so they did auditions for a lead singer, which is how they picked up Saiki. Bonus fact: They didn't tell Saiki about the Maid outfits, instead telling her just that they would be wearing "some cute clothes". Miku was afraid Saiki wouldn't accept to join if she knew they were going to dress up in Maid outfits. Saiki later confirmed in an interview that if they had told her beforehand about the Maid outfits, she probably wouldn't have joined lol. Good thing they kept it a secret, cause she has an amazing voice. Saiki found out about the Maid outfits literally when she arrived to perform at their first gig as a 5 piece. If you will be checking out more, here are some recommendations, all of which can be found on their official youtube channel: Live: BAND-MAID / Choose me (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / FREEDOM (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / Play (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND MAID / REAL EXISTENCE (April 13th, 2018) BAND-MAID / onset (Apr. 13th, 2018) (this one is an instrumental) Music Videos: BAND-MAID / Dice BAND-MAID / 輪廻 ( RINNE ) BAND-MAID / Blooming
It should be noted that it was Miku's own decision to not be the "lead vocalist" and to find someone with a more "powerful voice". This really shows how dedicated she was to her vision of having the best band in the world and not her own ego. I think you're correct about the singer auditions, but they were probably perfunctory auditions as Miku already knew about Saiki from various places and admired her voice. I can't remember which interview that was mentioned, but I believe Miku already had Saiki in mind.
@@Gideon_the_Seeker Yeah that's what i've heard too, but I don't remember specifically hearing them say that in any interviews, so I felt best not to spread possible misinformation until I see them quoted as actually saying that.
@@Kelven486 Good looking out for that rumor-mill 👍. I try to avoid the misinformation too. I found this here: ruclips.net/video/SltjaoNBlbY/видео.html where Miku is saying, "...at that time, I found Sai-chan..." in a way that implies she had known about Saiki already even before the manager's recommendation. I know there is at least one more different interview where Miku explicitly talks about having heard Saiki sing before somewhere and thinking of her as the choice to sing for BAND-MAID. Her only reservation for asking Saiki to join was that Saiki had a reputation for being "cool" and so probably would not like the "cute maid outfits", hence the initial deception in not telling Saiki about the costumes. I'll keep looking for that other interview. I'm pretty sure it's on youtube somewhere. 🤘
Most enjoyable gig I've been to in 40 years, 2018 in London. These ladies just blew me away. They have a real chemistry on stage. You're right about the 'happiness' that this band puts across. For a rock fan like me It makes a refreshing change from watching a stream of bands who are angry at everything.
Best rock band on the planet. I'm about the same age as you guys and it's been decades since I've had music grab me like this. Last January I clicked on their MV for "Thrill" the video that propelled them into the public eye and I really liked it and needed to hear more so I watched the MV for "Dice". Ten seconds in I realized I had a new favorite band. Multiple CDs and T-shirts purchased and I can't wait to go see them live. Formed the band themselves and for a while now they compose and write their own songs, they're the real deal. Rock n Roll isn't dead it just moved to Japan and put on maid costumes!
I'm commenting less and less on Band-Maid reactions nowadays purely because they've BLOWN UP here on YT. I sincerely hope all the positivity transfers to solid support for these ladies when everything settles down. Buy merch. Go to Band-Maid gigs. Make Kobato-san's dream of World domination a reality. They surely deserve it.
You are absolutely right! This is the time that we support these young rock musicians. Buy Band-Maid concert Blueray/DVD and Lovebites' Five of a Kind, See their online concerts !
Ive been listening to hard rock and metal since 83. There hasnt been a band since Pantera (and Metallica before them) to just blow me away like Band Maid. These ladies are a once in a generation type of band. Litetally rewriting (and saving) what it means to be a rock band. You want some tasty and filthy bass lines, you want "Dice. " MISA is a master of pick, finger and slap bass. Her transition from pick to slap is like Billie The Kid in a high noon gunfight. Lightning fast, smooth, and deadly. That is one of the reasons she is called "the barefoot assassin. " If you want a group for J-tock week, try Aldious "We Are" or "Sweet Temptation. "
Not many people notice that Billy The Kid moment (6:05-6:07) where she somehow plucks, slaps and then magically produces a pick and throws that into the mix too! Genius!
If you want to taste other color of BandMaid, you can try: Onset, intrumental for putting people in a very good mood :-) Rinne or Dice more metal like Wonderland or Daydreaming, rock ballad like The dragon cries, kind of bluesy sound Don't you tell (live) for a "battle solo" bass/guitar etc... A+
Unfortunately, I believe 'Don't You Tell Me (live)' has been taken down .. all that's left are other reactors reacting to that song, but I'd suggest that anyone that is starting to get into Band-Maid go look for one of those reaction videos, because even with the interruptions it is well worth watching!!
I am sure a lot say it's a generational thing, I would dispute that and say it's a natural progression from what was! Having witnessed live some of the best bands since my first concert in 76 of Kiss this band is the culmination of all those bands and for me produce some of the best rock I have ever heard. It is as it should be and not because they are an all female band or they are young they are good at their craft and very good musicians. To see them live would be a bonus!!
I think I’m pretty much on board with you on that one. I’ve seen some very good concerts beginning in the late 70’s when I was a teenager and it’s been 20 something years since I’ve enjoyed watching and listening to a band like these ladies. Just killer performances every time.

Girls have range. From poppy to heavy. For their heaviest, watch the "Rinne" music video. (the live Rinne version sucks for audio) If you want to watch their drummer go crazy, watch "Freedom" live. If you wanna see a cool music video (and good song) you can watch Blooming. 9 out of 10 times you should watch their live performances though. For a special twist, they dressed up as geisha, took one of their rock songs, and remixed it with Japanese instruments. Its something a bit more special, as they even change their band name to "Band-Maiko". Its called "Band-Maiko - Secret Maiko lips"
Always good to see a new Band Maid reaction, I would suggest Play (live), Onset (live), Freedom (live) and Rinne (MV)..and many more. They are always having fun on stage. When you see them gathered around the drummer, they are making faces at her clowning around.
u just witnessed the masters of transitioning and creativity. they're known for not playing the same instrumental parts throughout the song, as verse 1 and verse 2 always change.
Band Maid is awesome! Only discovered them in 2019 and now they are my favorite rock band. A bit of background on them if you haven't already got some. Miku (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) founded the band and was supposed to be lead singer but didn't think her voice was strong enough to sing the types of songs she wanted band to play, so they recruited Saiki. Miku found Kanami (lead guitar) on RUclips. Kanami is so good that she is Miku's guitar teacher. Miku never played guitar before starting band and has improved wonderfully. Kanami knew Akane (drums) from being on different backing bands together. Akane knew MISA (bass) from attending the same music school. Miku used to work in maid cafe's in Japan and thought it would be cool to dress as maids and play music you wouldn't expect them to play. They call that "The gap".
No need to compare lovebites and band maid! Both are amazing and they are so different in music styles! Lovebites is pure power metal and I love them for it! Band maid is definitely hard rock but also they have a lot of variety in their recent songs as well. Jrock week sounds great but both lovebites and band maid could easily fill a week each :)
Welcome on board the Band-Maid train! 🤘🏻 And all I can say is that the ride from one station to another is like a roller coaster ride. The songwriting, the genres they can play or combine, their musicianship as a group as well as from every band-member individually is just unreal and something I haven't seen or heard in a very long time.
Glad you enjoyed this one. The thing with this band is sometimes if people do 1 song it’s a hit or miss. But you do 20, 30 songs and realize the worst song is still better than most other bands’ songs out there. Personally I think they have about 60 out of 92 songs that are fantastic and better than a lot of songs out there. They are special.
You should for sure always check out the LIVE stuff, they are amazing! Always solos, fillers, different from the CD-version etc., they are better LIVE, the energy... These ladies are hard workers and really talented! Dominiation was a good start, for sure! Have fun and a good week :) Greetings from Germany P.S.: Genre is hard to tell with Band-Maid, they don´t care about it so much... There is funk, jazz, rock, metal, punk, they are all over the place most of the time.
The question about Band Maid is not "because they are women", Japan have a lot of incredible good bands with only women from years ago Also is not the maid costumes, or how good is this song or another song. The issue here is than they already release 5 studio albums (3 ones shorter) and any new album is even better and better, and you can´t find a "bad song" in those albums The incredible success of this band is their ability to produce song after song of very good themes. A lot of times in an studio album you find one or two "very good themes" and other who are... well... they must fill the album. Band Maid don´t do this, they do complete albums of very good themes, and they change que themes for the live performances to include new parts to their public. Do a very good song is difficult, to a dozen of very good songs for an album is really difficult, and this is what they are doing
@@ChrisPage68 Tell me... i have all of them 😂 Scandal have a lot of albums and well... of course some themes aren´t "incredible" but all their albums still rocks
As a musician of 56 plus years, I have been following Band-Maid since 2014. You won't find a more talented group of writers/composers and lyricists in the world today as Band-Maid. In my opinion Band-Maid is more of a Progressive Rock and Roll band. They write music similar to some of the most popular music we heard back in the 70's and 80's, mixed in with all genre's of music. Kanami Tono is the lead guitarist she writes/composes 95% of their music. She has a video of her reviewing for PRS guitars on RUclips, pretty amazing. Loved your reaction, pick any of Band-Maids live videos from their website and you won't be disappointed. Keep Rocking 🤘🤘👍👍
Band Maid are the best Hard Rock band on the planet, no exceptions. It's not just that they are talented, it's the sheer volume of amazing songs they put out, there are literally 30 songs at least this good (and a dozen that are much better as it happens) they are a hit writing machine! Kanami and Miku are Toumas Holopainen level songwriters. Ohhh Jrock week? Sign me up! Lovebites, Aldious, Trident, Fern planet, Ningen Isu, god i could go on forever.
When B-M go incognito they stand on each others shoulders. No one gives that 26ft tall japanese woman wearing a really long buttoned up raincoat a second glance :)
Plain and simple said: BandMaid plays Hard Rock. Not Metal. They're currently the best Hard Rock band out there. Check out more from them. Live of course. Japan has produced several really good all female Hard Rock bands the last few years and BandMaid is number 1.
Band Maid, best live rock band out today. The beauty of Band Maid is they combine elements of rock, metal, punk, pop and jazz into their music. They love to have alot of fan interaction during their shows and you can see how much they love to perform while rockin' the house.
Nice reaction. BAND-MAID sure is a really awesome band (I wouldn't say the best, I don't want to oversell them) and my current favorite among japanese and western bands. Their records are really solid and they manage to incorporate many influences in their music. They're primarly a Hard Rock/Power Pop band, but they approach to Metal, Funk, Punk, Blues, so their range is very diverse, with more heavy tunes to another ones more soft, power ballads, energetic and fun songs, etc. It's a band that remind another ones like Foo Fighters, King's X, SIAM SHADE, Van Halen, Pearl Jam for name a few. I think this band is very clever in its songwriting, they know how and when to put things to get you hooked and interested, without always getting too technical or complex in the song structures, fast shredding or things like that. Instead, they embrace a very pop radio friendly type of songs with no fear. Kanami, the main guitarist, has said in interviews that they want to create songs that people will remember and sing along with them. And I think they've achieve that, because they're really catchy (I always have a blast listening to them while driving my car). Hope you can dig more into them because they have more to offer. Cheers!!!
Thank you for the shout out glad you checked them out they are a incredible band they have 90 plus songs they are better live also check out a newer Japanese band called brats
Lovebites is a really good power metal band but kind of niche specific. Band Maid is a great oaken feast table of Rock and Hard Rock styles and even a few lighter ballad type songs that cleanse the palate and are excellent in their own right. They’re a genuine, organically formed band (by the rhythm guitarist/vocalist) from 2013 when Miku Kobato was still a maid cafe waitress singing to people’s food and milkshakes. Hence the maid motif.💪🏻🤘🏻
"Moratorium" is still my favorite by them, I think. Always go for live performances with Band-Maid, certainly. They have music videos, but they're best live.
@@cleanthegreen Each of the reaction videos should have to have a link to "original video" in the description, though at least one I checked was broken. The ones that weren't were shot from the crowd, like this one. ruclips.net/video/GIEyVOBiPf4/видео.html
Great reaction and welcome to the precipice of the Pigeon hole - take the next step if you dare but be warned - you will be assimilated :) When they gathered around the drummer they were playing a Japanese game of "making faces" - this band has such incredible chemistry that they actually try to make each other screw up mid-song by making each other laugh... and the guitarist face off in this song is all the more amazing when you realize both (Miku, Rythme and Kanami, Lead) are barely 5 ft tall, yet they loom like giants... in their 7 years together so far they have produced an amazing catalogue of music - currently on their channel you can find MV's for Dice, Blooming, Don't Let Me Down, Rinne, and Thrill (their first big hit from 2014).... and of course phenomenal live performances of Freedom, Play, Real Existance, Wonderland, and Onset (instrumental)... and several others.... and if you're not amazed enough by that lineup, know that at least 2 of their best live performances are no longer available - Moratorium and Puzzle... so enjoy the ride!
Band-Maid is a hard rock band and Lovebites are a metal band, with both incorporating multiple influences and both are awesome. For me they are modern day GnR and Metallica (but without the addiction and anger), my two faves growing up and who represent different but similar styles. For more live B-M check out FREEDOM and PLAY from this same concert back in Feb, and for MVs check out BLOOMING and DICE. For more live Lovebites check out THUNDER VENGEANCE and HOLY WAR, both from their own live show this year called Five of a Kind, with these two songs serving as the openers.
Welcome aboard, Blokes. You are embarking on (along with many others - 90 million YT hits!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (nearly 100 songs with new album, “Conqueror”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their later songs drive even more - Rin’ne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series! And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ruclips.net/video/__1th7ctgMo/видео.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: ruclips.net/video/4uIYBkAybCI/видео.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: ruclips.net/video/usWZvlGGDSs/видео.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.). Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma, performance and voice focus the experience. Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 28 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Naw-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 29 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 29 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Assassin" - Bass, 27 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Great reaction blokes. No dive into women only bands is complete without sampling the best power trio on the scene today. The Warning is a three sister band from Mexico who range in age from 15 to 20. Don’t be fooled by how young they are, they’re in the studio right now laying down their 3rd album. They have an old school rock sound and are freakishly talented. They come with a double your money back guarantee for satisfaction. BTW they sing almost always in English, with just enough Spanish to make them a truly international phenomenon.
More BAND-MAID, please. I'd suggest 'Real Existence' LIVE next. Unfortunately, much of their best stuff was pulled ahead of a DVD release, but it's yours for the asking.
Oh yeah! Band-Maid and Babymetal coming out of Japan are absolutely amazing. I found Babymetal first back in 2018 that led me to Band-Maid because they share a lot of fans. Band-Maid is a straight up rock band with highly talented musicians and Babymetal is a metal fusion band that created their own genre to fit their style. I have been somewhat obsessed with these two bands, so thanks for the great reaction video. Really hope you do more and check out Babymetal when you get the chance. Love them both!
Forget they're all female. Forget they're dressed as maids. Know that two members (Misa - Bass, Akane - Drums) are classically trained pianists and musicians who studied at the Tokyo Academy of Music while Kanami, the lead guitarist, has also been playing piano since the age of 3 or 4 but is concert standard. Almost unbelievably, given her skills, she only switched to guitar about 10 years ago! They all have superb musical ability as well as passion, a lack of ego and the drive to play real, in yer face, Rock which is why they are THE best live Rock (not Rock 'n' Roll, which is a genre from the 50's that began with Bill Haley's Rock around the clock) band on Earth right now. OK, now that's explained, you can go back and marvel at how cute those outfits look and how incredibly beautiful all the band members are. The only band I've seen that is playing live like bands I went to see in the 70's, such as Led Zeppelin or Sabbath or Zappa. Real guitars, drums and bass played loudly and with passion as well as powerful Rock vocals with not an autotune in sight. They've revived the classic Rock sound and given the genre a much needed kick in the ass, as Babymetal have done for Metal. Future reactions I'd recommend, as they really shine brightest live, would be from the same concert as this one is, which was released as a DVD in April. FREEDOM: ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html , PLAY: ruclips.net/video/3LxX_t4vg7U/видео.html , CHOOSE ME: ruclips.net/video/HcqitbXgigU/видео.html , DOMINATION: ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html and WONDERLAND: ruclips.net/video/x4hxLeHbqZo/видео.html , though they have superb music videos too and so maybe have a look at their first one, THRILL: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html . While Band-Maid are THE best live Rock band on Earth, I'd have to recommend a couple of other Japanese female/female fronted bands, such as the brilliant Kawaii Metal band Babymetal (try Headbanger: ruclips.net/video/YjjWZpf_jSs/видео.html ) or the Wagakki band's mix of traditional instruments with Rock and Metal songs (try Homura: ruclips.net/video/ponTbDDMYjw/видео.html )
They have great videos on their official live YT channel, so their stuff is easy to find. Some very, very good options: Music Videos: Blooming, Rinne, Dice, and if you want to see the video that got them on the map, Thrill Official Live: Play, Freedom, Wonderland, Real Existence Honestly, after 2-3 of those people are generally hooked. They're just a wonderful band.
Nice reactions. Welcome to my favorite rock band. I discovered them about a year ago and they quickly became my favorite. They are so talented, charismatic, beautiful and make such good music. They have so many good songs. Try Moratorium, Dice, Play, Blooming, Freedom, Wonderland, Rinne, Don't Bring Me Down.
MISA MISA MISA! You mentioned the energy this is song 22 of a 23 song set, their energy is beyond belief and I have witnessed it first hand, I was at the LA Servings (Band-Maid for Show) and it was the their 4th and 5th shows in 6 Days across the US and the last song of the last Serving was as fresh and Powerful as the fist song of the first Serving. p.s. subbed
If you wan to do a Japan Week, here are some suggestions: Unlucky Morpheus - "Cadaver/Revadac" (Live or sheet music version) & "Black Pentagram" (Live) Mardelas - "Apocalypse" Wagakki Band - "Homura/Akatsuki No Ito" & "Senbonzakura" (Live) Galneryus - "Angel Of Salvation" (Live with subtitles) & "Force Of Courage" (Live with subtitles) Fuki - "Bloody Rain" (with lyrics) Syu featuring Fuki - "Reason" (with lyrics) Notice that I did not include Band Maid. The reason for that is simple - They need a whole week to themselves. Period.
That’s the good stuff. Also Doll$Boxx (which is Gacharic Spin feat Fuki). And Bridear. And Fate Gear. And Trident. And Sokuninaru. Go jazzy prog with Octaviagrace. Punkish with Brats. Death voice with Broken by the Scream. And I’m still only in jmetal women! Pop: Scandal. Silent Siren. EXiNA. Men: Dir en Grey. Galneryus. Gazette. One OK Rock. Undecided(men in make up): Jupiter. Versailles. X-Japan. Love Mardelas with female singer Marina, yet hardly anyone checks them out... go for it. Same keyboardist Mao who helps Lovebites in the studio, and has been working with Fuki in 5? bands, whole career. He’s on a mission to write the perfect accessible powermetal song, and he’s come damn close! Mardelas - Apocalypse ruclips.net/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/видео.html Ps. Women: Aldious, Mary’s Blood, Nemophila, LisaX Band (one song has Billy Sheehan and Shane Gaalaas guest rhythm section), ShowYa. Woman drummer (BandMaid’s Akane’s inspiration): Maximum The Hormone. Instrumental metal 2 women 2 men: Marshall records’ D_Drive. Teens with female shredder: Asterism. More to come, take your time, I’ll give you all week 😉💃🏻🎸🤘
@@timgove5337 If I'm not mistaken, Mao is also the keyboardist for Lightbringer, another one of Fuki's bands. I swear she must be the hardest working woman in Japan.
I see you mentioned Fuki 3 times...that 's just how good she is! Definitely gotta check out Unlucky Morpheus, Maximum The Hormone, Versailles, Galneryus, TRiDENT, Yousei Teikoku, Tears of Tragedy.
An online friend has over 90 releases featuring Fuki. She’s approximately 30, 12 yrs in the business, and first few were independent releases of gaming music. She’s basically put out new music every 6weeks since high school. Killer voice, of course everybody wants Fuki!
Nice reaction 🤟 Few more recommendations 🤣 "Freedom" or "Play" for Live. "Wonderland" for vocals. "Moratorium" for Bass. "Freedom" for Drums. "Onset" for Instrumental. "Play" for Guitar
band maid and lovebites to me are miles ahead of other bands because of their chemistry and stage presence. they truly love playing with each other and it shows. band maid plays just about every genre except maybe country. and lovebites specializes in power and heavy metal with a tad of hard rock as well. and both bands have a few ballads that are stunning. you can't lose with either band. one song you may want to hear from the maids is the mv for 'dice' - a fan favorite that kicks many asses. and lovebite's 'scream for me' is a must listen.
You touched on the reason I am rediscovering metal. I'm tired of the angry, abrasive tone of mainstream metal bands, it's become tiresome. The girls are taking over and I love it!
That is THE band ... AND if you are going to do a J-Rock week, boy are you going to have fun!! Feb 2014, on the now-defunct Google Plus forum, someone I was following posted aa video of this band called "BABYMETAL" and said 'OMG, you just have to see this!! I clicked on that link and have been falling down the J-Rock (Asian rock/music in general) rabbit hole ever since. Band-Maid (you'll get tons of requests. but anything from this Feb 14 concert is gold, as is any of their MV, (Bubble, Rinne, Blooming, Gion-Cho [Band-Maiko] are musical and cinematic masterpieces) One Ok Rock: Like Band-Maid are best played live. ruclips.net/video/r9da3oeTD6A/видео.html Hello Sleepwalkers: Punk/alternative rock.: ruclips.net/video/Zxwe-nfZJyM/видео.html Sononinaru: 3 piece band. Not hard rock or anything, just a great band that's easy to listen to: ruclips.net/video/AKQfGXRSNL0/видео.html BABYMETAL: The band that started it all off for me. Heavymetal group. Fronted by 3 young girls (started when the girls were something like 11 & 13 back around 2010) backed by some of the finest metal musicians on the planet. A BABYMETAL concert is like Metal theatre ... you could go to metal festivals every weekend for 6 months and still not hear as much diversity of metal styles played so well as a 2-hour BABYMETAL concert. Most people will offer up their 'anthem' type songs, but for me, even though two of the girls are resting backstage and it's just the lead singer and the band, this song IMO is the epitome of BABYMETAL and Metal in general. Yeah!! A J-rock week. Here some bands for you :) Also, good luck at fitting all the bands, that people are going to suggest in to 1 week. Unlucky Morpheus - Black Pentagram Yuzukingdom - Eyes Shut Tightly Total Fat - One For The Dreams SiM - Killing Me wagakki band - 千本桜 NINGEN ISU / Heartless Scat (also, known as Grandpa metal) GALNERYUS - ANGEL OF SALVATION Now for some Visual Kie stuff, it can get a bit weird here. Disreign - Within the Void The Gazette - Ugly Jupiter - Venus DADAROMA「溺れる魚」MV FullVer NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST - DESPERATE DEVILOOF - 拷訊惨獄 And last but not least Babymetal - Road Of Resistance
Great reaction! You guys came in with an open mind and appreciated them for what they are, without bias or exaggerations. ‘Onset” would be best recommendation for your next. Btw here’s an intro to the Japanese rock/metal scene with a few of my fav bands across the different sub-genres. You might be surprised to know that Japan has the second largest music industry in the world after the US. Its just that on top of a language barrier, they also weren't promoted much outside, not even through digital/online means including the likes of youtube. Infact they have very strict copyright laws that even bans phones in concerts there and only in the recent few years have they started officially releasing their music online. The rock/metal scene is esp. huge. And while the rest of the world sees frontwomen in rock as a novelty, all female bands have been a thing there since the early 1980s. Also, thanks to their impressive concert culture many western artists and bands have managed to remain afloat through the years owing partly to the huge concerts they get to do there frequently. With their compulsory music education and tendency to be workaholics and perfectionist in their craft, what you get is a huge number of insanely gifted, professionally trained musicians flooding one amazing band after the other. And only the most ambitious and finest bands get filtered out from these already incredible ones, to international music fans like us. I dare you to pick anyone from below and conclude that they are shit 😏 Here are some of my fav Japanese bands who are also massively successful, ranging from lighter punkrock to heavier power/heavy/doom metal & metalcore One Ok Rock- We are (live) ruclips.net/video/uyaKoj7wABY/видео.html Band Maid- Onset (Live instrumental) ruclips.net/video/mVrN-j_Uc0U/видео.html Band Maid- Bubble ruclips.net/video/T_PWQtc7zVw/видео.html DOLL$BOXX- Dragonet ruclips.net/video/nH4TEyJwpm4/видео.html DOLL$BOXX- Loud Twin Stars (Live) ruclips.net/video/Tl4QNXnE-XU/видео.html L'arc en Ciel- Blame (live) ruclips.net/video/DfmJcTRYhhw/видео.html Wagakki Band- Senbonzakura ruclips.net/video/K_xTet06SUo/видео.html Lovebites- Shadowmaker ruclips.net/video/k3wyUbfl6TY/видео.html Galneryus- Angel of Salvation ruclips.net/video/nsi9HEmZl9Y/видео.html Ningen Isu- Heartless Scat ruclips.net/video/CbI79e5iZKs/видео.html The Gazzette- Filth in the Beauty ruclips.net/video/t2ZRy71vivk/видео.html The Gazzette- Deux (live) ruclips.net/video/RZDmHXqWuvs/видео.html Maximum the Hormone- Let’s Talk about Menkata Cottelee ruclips.net/video/IC-wDpwzEt4/видео.html Crystal Lake- Apollo ruclips.net/video/jX8RTjUUcLE/видео.html Crystal Lake- Aeon ruclips.net/video/CKHsfceVK2g/видео.html Crossfaith- Monolith (live) ruclips.net/video/Xz-X6eXxkV8/видео.html The list is in order from soft to heavy so depending on your preference you can start either from the top or the bottom. Btw Band Maid (Hard Rock/Heavy Metal), Doll$boxx (Electro Pop/Hard Rock) and Lovebites (Power Metal) are all female bands.
Domination is a good Appetizer. But if you want to know what this band really can do together on stage, watch "Real Existence " Live 2018, from their Channel. Band-Maid is hard Rock, but always with a "Soul" !
Freedom from same show, is the best I seen from them. Especially this about having fun shines through extra much. You also get an insane drum solo from Akane =)
Band Maid, Lovebites, Mary's Blood, Babymetal, Scandal, Wagakki band etc. all great bands that make really great music, but if I can, I would like to recommend, for your next reaction, Unlucky Morpheus in Unending Sorceress, this band does Technical Melodic, Speed Metal, Symphonic Metal and Power Metal, the band is Japanese, this band has a violinist in their group, Jill, that's right, a violin. Thank you as of now if you consider this proposal.
bass solo...lads, the moment you dive into B-M you will realize that Misa's bass dominates in every song...there are a huge number of bass solos and she is just out of this world...Misa-Misa-Misa - you will never forget her... Turn Me On Play Take Me Higher Don't You Tell Me Puzzle ....the list goes on and on - all live, this band is only worth seeing live!!! Try the whole show from Zepp Tokyo 2018...you will be rendered speechless🤘🤘🤘
I did say you'd like them 😊 Prepare to go on a journey if you are doing J-Rock week. I've fell down many rabbit, fox and pigeon holes since discovering Babymetal a few years ago. A lot of bands mentioned already but you can't go wrong with Babymetal, Unlucky Morpheus, DollsBoxx, Waggakki Band (it's just a mental mashup here of rock & traditional Japanese music) Galneryus, ZAQ, Gojira and Maximum The Hormone. Of course you need to do further Band-Maid songs, they just keep getting better and better. Enjoy your J-Rock trip 👍
For J-rock week, here are a few bands or artists. Maximum the Hormone, Aldious, Asterism, D-Drive, Takayoshi Ohmura, Yousei Teikoku, Galneryus, Maki Oyami, etc.
This really is a pretty special song for BandMaid I think. When they first started years ago, Miku (Rhythm Guitar) could barely even play the guitar, as she was originally going to be the lead vocalist. But after they added Saiki (Lead Vocals) she shifted to backup vocals and rhythm guitar, learning pretty much everything on the go from Kanami (Lead Guitar). Notice how Kanami came up to support Miku during her solo, she collapsed with a big smile when she nailed it, and Akane (Drummer) had that huge smile while she watched and closed it out. It's been loads of fun watching the whole band experiment and get better over the years, and as a comparison you can watch their song "Rinne", then compare to their first studio recording of "Thrill". Both are good, but wow how far they've all come, especially after they started writing their own songs.
This is a good segue to Maximum The Hormone. Japanese band with a female drummer. The drummer from Band-Maid was inspired to play the drums by her. The best first songs to check: "Yoshu Fukushu" or "A-L-I-E-N"...you won't be disappointed ;)
That energy was song 22 of a 23 song Concert .. Band Maid as well is best heard with their official live performances they are much more in depth and add more musicality to the song than their studio produced MVs but the MVs are great too.
Band-Maid without a doubt one of the best rock bands around right now. If you going to do a J-rock week maybe a good idea to do 3 or 4 videos a day. Some bands i think worth checking out covering different types of rock and metal are Dir En Grey, Crystal Lake, the GazettE, Unlucky Morpheus, Aldious, Brats, SiM, a crowd of rebellion, Angry Frog Rebirth, Fern Planet, Bridear, Stereopony, Scandal, ROTTENGRAFFTY, LOUDNESS, Mary's Blood, Nemophila, MergingMoon, Devil Within, Spilt End, First Impression, The Cibo, Althea, Kozumi, Baby Leaf, afloat storage, ayutthaya, Bray me, Organic Call, Kakashi, She'll sleep, Fomare, Wagakki band, Plot Scraps, Hakubi, The Cheserasera to name just a few of the brilliant bands from Japan
Oh my gosh, you have opened the floodgates. Yes, it's more rock than metal, but they draw on punk, jazz, classical, metal, everything. They may be the best rock group in the world today. You are going to get a lot of suggestions. I'm subscribing just to see you dive into this rabbit hole. Problem is most of the links get taken down pretty fast. These are a bunch that are official or unlikely to come down. First, a little background on the girls: Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 26 years old MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 27 years old Kanami Tono - Lead guitar Composer and main arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 28 years old Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 28 years old Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 29 years old Miku envisoned the idea of a maid-band that plays hard rock and metal. She recruited Kanami, who recruited Akane, who recruited MISA. Then they collectively recruited Saiki. Miku didn't know how to play guitar, so Kanami has been teaching her. She's become good so fast that Maidiacs are daring to dream of a dual solo. They are that rare band that sound perfect live, even better than in the studio. This truly is THE band. You got to check out more of their songs. BAND-MAID is also better live than their MVs. You get a lot of extra content from their live versions. They are so damn good in general. Not taking anything away from LOVEBITES as that band is great as well. But I do prefer BAND-MAID over them as it's just super easy listening. I have to be in the right mood for LOVEBITES. Thanks for the awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it. Please try their performances of Play, Onset and Freedom from the same show. Rinne, Dice and several more. And yes you're spot on as far as their live performances. So much bigger than what the studio can do.
Wonderful reaction. BAND MAID is always good. Watch their DICE music video next. You will be impressed. Also, if you haven't already, please check out ONE OK ROCK The Beginning LIVE at Yokohama Stadium. ONE OK ROCK is an all-male band from Japan. Thanks! Take care and stay safe!
The best rock n roll band in current generation. Believe that!
You mentioned their energy. This was song number 20 of a 21 song set. The entire concert was this powerful.
Actually it was the 22nd song on their setlist. They also played two other songs in acoustics (YOLO & Puzzle) which were not included on the BD/DVD between Mirage and Catharsis.

I watch this last concert live and have 3 hours.
Imagine the smell
@IronMetal THAT’S MY FETISH!
If you will be checking out more, here are some recommendations, all of which can be found on their official youtube channel:
Live:
BAND-MAID / Choose me (Feb. 14th, 2020)
BAND-MAID / FREEDOM (Feb. 14th, 2020)
BAND-MAID / Play (Feb. 14th, 2020)
BAND MAID / REAL EXISTENCE (April 13th, 2018)
BAND-MAID / onset (Apr. 13th, 2018) (this one is an instrumental)
Music Videos:
BAND-MAID / Dice
BAND-MAID / 輪廻 ( RINNE )
BAND-MAID / Blooming
Rush will always be the best, Band Maid and Iron Maiden a close second.
My only hope is they decide to come back to Europe again otherwise I'll have to but a plane ticket.
These girls have mastered the art of rock 'n roll.
Yes, this is a tough time for musicians...support the artists!
At the very least buy the BD for this concert, best concert video.

The saviours of Rock Music!
Yes, this is THEE band!
Genius!
HA! Love the BtK comparison. :)
And don't ignore their old songs because they are just as good FREEZER, I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU, SHAKE THAT in fact every song is great. ❤️❤️👌
If you want to taste other color of BandMaid, you can try:
Onset, intrumental for putting people in a very good mood :-)
Rinne or Dice more metal like
Wonderland or Daydreaming, rock ballad like
The dragon cries, kind of bluesy sound
Don't you tell (live) for a "battle solo" bass/guitar
etc...
A+
Unfortunately, I believe 'Don't You Tell Me (live)' has been taken down .. all that's left are other reactors reacting to that song, but I'd suggest that anyone that is starting to get into Band-Maid go look for one of those reaction videos, because even with the interruptions it is well worth watching!!
They are genuine friends. Their banter is amazing. It gets so much more intricate and highly technical from here.
The best live band in the world. This is the tip of the iceberg.
Umm...Nightwish?

@@d.h8538 1st. But Lovebites live are better than Band-Maid.
Lovebites :)
Best band in the world. Welcome to the "Pigeon-Hole" -po. If you let it, this band will change your life.

Have fun and a good week :) Greetings from Germany
P.S.: Genre is hard to tell with Band-Maid, they don´t care about it so much... There is funk, jazz, rock, metal, punk, they are all over the place most of the time.
The most beautiful and amazing band on the planet. They rekindled my love for new music when I found them 2 years ago.
The question about Band Maid is not "because they are women", Japan have a lot of incredible good bands with only women from years ago
Also is not the maid costumes, or how good is this song or another song.
The issue here is than they already release 5 studio albums (3 ones shorter) and any new album is even better and better, and you can´t find a "bad song" in those albums
The incredible success of this band is their ability to produce song after song of very good themes.
6 3 mini 7-9 tracks 3 Lp's 13-15 tracks
That's Kanami power at work :D
Lovebites have three full studio albums. Electric Pentagram (the most recent) has no filler tracks at all.
@@ChrisPage68 Tell me... i have all of them 😂
Scandal have a lot of albums and well... of course some themes aren´t "incredible" but all their albums still rocks
All the bands in the last paragraph are J-Metal.
When B-M go incognito they stand on each others shoulders. No one gives that 26ft tall japanese woman wearing a really long buttoned up raincoat a second glance :)
*Godzilla !!!!* 🍜 🍜 🍜
@@BM4-Life LMAO. Excellent riposte :D
Amazingly, though she is the tallest in the band, MISA, MISA, MISA is only 5' 7" !
@@tonygriffin_ Very true. Akane holds them all up tho cos the Maids need the strength of a gorilla to support them :)
Sounds like the makings of an awesome Dr Who episode.
Plain and simple said: BandMaid plays Hard Rock. Not Metal. They're currently the best Hard Rock band out there. Check out more from them. Live of course. Japan has produced several really good all female Hard Rock bands the last few years and BandMaid is number 1.
🤘
Band Maid, best live rock band out today. The beauty of Band Maid is they combine elements of rock, metal, punk, pop and jazz into their music. They love to have alot of fan interaction during their shows and you can see how much they love to perform while rockin' the house.
Great reaction ..band maid best rock band...please react to FREEDOM ...and PLAY 2020
Best rock and roll band in the world today!! Band Maid forever 🤘🤘
Best ever comparison between Band-Maid and Lovebites!
Do you and Gary have a contest to see who comes up with the best metaphors? :D

Ha! Mr. Holloway takes the crown on off-the-wall descriptive comments! I just get intermittent inspiration.😊
@@bigbrutalbassbeer410 Band-Maid inspired no doubt
@@rileyxxxx Shut up. Just because you dislike her voice doesn't make her bad.
"Moratorium" is still my favorite by them, I think. Always go for live performances with Band-Maid, certainly. They have music videos, but they're best live.
With certain exceptions. Rinne, Blooming, and Dice are best (or only) on MV.
Can’t seem to find “Moratorium” on YT that’s not a reaction video. Any chance you know?
Down the rabbit hole you go...... check out "Dice" and "Blooming".
Pigeon Hole :D But yeah, that´s right!
@@Slippy6582 LOL, I like that. I'm gonna have to use that! Pigeon Hole. New listeners will be confused, but it won't take long to make sense.
@@Slippy6582 Fixed! What was I thinking back then.....
And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
Here’s a link of their song, Dust To Dust

There are poppier rock bands; there are harder metal bands (all females). But, THIS IS THE BAND. They are the Best HARD ROCK Band of our generation.
They have great videos on their official live YT channel, so their stuff is easy to find. Some very, very good options:
Music Videos: Blooming, Rinne, Dice, and if you want to see the video that got them on the map, Thrill
Official Live: Play, Freedom, Wonderland, Real Existence
Honestly, after 2-3 of those people are generally hooked.
Band Maid's music videos of Dice and Blooming will have you seeking even more. Their extensive catalog has no disappointments.
BAND-MAID... Hard Rock without all of the hate and anger...
Good point. I mean, angry music can be cathartic, but Band-Maid manages to be aggressive, cathartic, *and* uplifting but not sugary.
Happy Hard Rock
MISA MISA MISA! You mentioned the energy this is song 22 of a 23 song set, their energy is beyond belief and I have witnessed it first hand, I was at the LA Servings (Band-Maid for Show) and it was the their 4th and 5th shows in 6 Days across the US and the last song of the last Serving was as fresh and Powerful as the fist song of the first Serving. p.s. subbed
MORE BAND MAID, my favorite group!
Welcome to DOMINATION...A BAND-MAID JOURNEY...YOU SHOULD ALSO TRY TO REACT TO BABYMETAL ROAD OF RESISTANCE AND LOVEBITES SWAN SONG...
If you wan to do a Japan Week, here are some suggestions:
Unlucky Morpheus - "Cadaver/Revadac" (Live or sheet music version) & "Black Pentagram" (Live)
Mardelas - "Apocalypse"
Wagakki Band - "Homura/Akatsuki No Ito" & "Senbonzakura" (Live)
Galneryus - "Angel Of Salvation" (Live with subtitles) & "Force Of Courage" (Live with subtitles)
Fuki - "Bloody Rain" (with lyrics)
Syu featuring Fuki - "Reason" (with lyrics)
Notice that I did not include Band Maid.
Mardelas - Apocalypse ruclips.net/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/видео.html
Ps.

Gotta give Freedom(live) from Band-Maid a listen too after this one, cheers guys.
Because of these five beautifuly talented young ladies I'm finally able to subscribe to your channel.
Hi, guys. Jimmy Page said Band Maid's Akane was the best drummer he had ever seen and asked to meet her at a concert in Tokyo. They're all amazing
Do more Band-Maid reactions. Their LIVE performances are so addictive..!
Nice reaction 🤟
Few more recommendations 🤣
"Freedom" or "Play" for Live.
"Wonderland" for vocals.
"Moratorium" for Bass.
"Freedom" for Drums.
"Onset" for Instrumental.
"Play" for Guitar
Hands down. Best rock band on the planet.
band maid and lovebites to me are miles ahead of other bands because of their chemistry and stage presence. they truly love playing with each other and it shows. band maid plays just about every genre except maybe country. and lovebites specializes in power and heavy metal with a tad of hard rock as well. and both bands have a few ballads that are stunning. you can't lose with either band. one song you may want to hear from the maids is the mv for 'dice' - a fan favorite that kicks many asses. and lovebite's 'scream for me' is a must listen.
You touched on the reason I am rediscovering metal. I'm tired of the angry, abrasive tone of mainstream metal bands, it's become tiresome. The girls are taking over and I love it!
Keep up the great work guys! Looking forward to more Band Maid reacts!
Band-Maid (you'll get tons of requests. but anything from this Feb 14 concert is gold, as is any of their MV, (Bubble, Rinne, Blooming, Gion-Cho [Band-Maiko] are musical and cinematic masterpieces)

Hello Sleepwalkers: Punk/alternative rock.: ruclips.net/video/Zxwe-nfZJyM/видео.html
Sononinaru: 3 piece band. The female bass player and the male lead guitar both are capable of playing wild solos (the full fretboard, tapping and all) while singing complicated vocal harmony lines. I doubt if you've ever seen anything like this before: ruclips.net/video/fdvQ36I9Kbw/видео.html
Kalafina: Female counterpoint harmonies backed by a 5 to 8 piece band. Not hard rock or anything, just a great band that's easy to listen to: ruclips.net/video/AKQfGXRSNL0/видео.html
BABYMETAL: The band that started it all off for me. And that's just the tip of the Japanese music scene iceberg (then there's the rest of Asian especially The Philippines, China, Kazakhstan ... a bottomless rabbit hole of incredible music that the west, for the most part, is totally missing.)
**** Pro Tip: If you haven't already, check out Dimash --- from Kazakhstan. The world's greatest singer ... no, that's not my opinion, that's the objective truth. I swear to God. No one that's listened to him sing has ever said anything other than 'holy sh^t, he's not human!!" Here he is singing a French song on a Chinese singing contest (first show of the first season, so the crowd was cheering about the show getting underway (they had never heard of Dimash before, nobody outside of Kazakhstan had,) and were unaware that they were about to become a part of music history!!)

I dare you to pick anyone from below and conclude that they are shit 😏

Btw Band Maid (Hard Rock/Heavy Metal), Doll$boxx (Electro Pop/Hard Rock) and Lovebites (Power Metal) are all female bands.
Domination is a good Appetizer. But if you want to know what this band really can do together on stage, watch "Real Existence " Live 2018, from their Channel. Band-Maid is hard Rock, but always with a "Soul" !
Freedom from same show, is the best I seen from them. Especially this about having fun shines through extra much. You also get an insane drum solo from Akane =)
try Ningen Isu. They have a very 70's metal Sabbath feel in some of their songs. They have been going strong for over 30 years.
Glad you enjoyed, Great band!!
🤘🤘
Misa is a BEAST on the bass!
One must know this is the final song of a 23 song concert! And they are still playing there heart. You can see Misa is exhausted, Or drunk.
Great reaction to perhaps the best rock band out there right now! Please do their live version of Freedom as well.
Welcome to the fan base! 😎 LOVE this band!!! 🎸⚡️🤘🏻
bass solo...lads, the moment you dive into B-M you will realize that Misa's bass dominates in every song...there are a huge number of bass solos and she is just out of this world...Misa-Misa-Misa - you will never forget her...
Turn Me On
Play
Take Me Higher
Don't You Tell Me
Puzzle
....the list goes on and on - all live, this band is only worth seeing live!!! Try the whole show from Zepp Tokyo 2018...you will be rendered speechless🤘🤘🤘
彼らの感動が伝わってくるね。ライブでの演奏力が高い。
I did say you'd like them 😊
Prepare to go on a journey if you are doing J-Rock week.
Those are J-Metal bands.

Some bands i think worth checking out covering different types of rock and metal are Dir En Grey, Crystal Lake, the GazettE, Unlucky Morpheus, Aldious, Brats, SiM, a crowd of rebellion, Angry Frog Rebirth, Fern Planet, Bridear, Stereopony, Scandal, ROTTENGRAFFTY, LOUDNESS, Mary's Blood, Nemophila, MergingMoon, Devil Within, Spilt End, First Impression, The Cibo, Althea, Kozumi, Baby Leaf, afloat storage, ayutthaya, Bray me, Organic Call, Kakashi, She'll sleep, Fomare, Wagakki band, Plot Scraps, Hakubi, The Cheserasera to name just a few of the brilliant bands from Japan
...and the grandmother of all J-Girl bands...Shonen Knife.
First, a little background on the girls:
Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 26 years old
MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 27 years old
Kanami Tono - Lead guitar Composer and main arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 28 years old
Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 28 years old
Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990 29 years old
Miku envisoned the idea of a maid-band that plays hard rock and metal.

You haven’t seen anything yet! The talent is undeniable. Do more Band Maid
Band Maid and Lovebites are the best current rock acts on the planet!!!!
Lovebites and Band-Maid are the two best female bands on earth.
Dave Cook got a shoutout!
Yay my second ever but to be fair I recommended Freedom Live
Try their very first video Thrill, or Secret My Lips🤘
These ladies are nothing short of Rock Monsters! What a farkin' band!
The best female hard rock band in the world hands down enough said
Great reaction...
If I were tasked to make a dictionary, I'll just slapped the Band-Maid picture in 'EQUAL' meaning.
I would love to you guys check their band maid freedom live 2020 their having fun! But still the music is 🔥! Looking forward to see your reaction
Glad you enjoyed it. Please try their performances of Play, Onset and Freedom from the same show. Rinne, Dice and several more. And yes you're spot on as far as their live performances. So much bigger than what the studio can do.
Love it! Absolutely love these ladies... And Misa on that bass🔥
