Very nice, gentlemen. There's no bad time for Band-Maid, but yep they are indeed a great way to kick off the weekend!! For me here in Chicago, I kick off every day with the maids! And totally agree - they are showing the world how to do rock music. Good thing because the world forgot how!
"Showing the world how to do rock music." Yessir, that is the truth. Thank you for doing another BAND-MAID video! The ladies have a lot of songs on their YT channel, many of which are live versions. In fact, there are only two songs on their YT channel I would NOT recommend: the music video "Don't Let Me Down" (because it's very old, written for them, and the suggestive lyrics are just the opposite of what the group writes for themselves) and the live version of "Rinne" (it's cut down for a tv slot, so the second verse and a chorus is missing, and, musically speaking, second verses are a huge part of what makes this band special). The MUSIC VIDEO for Rinne is awesome.

I would recommend their song Onset. There is a live version in their official channel. It´s instrumental. Prepare to be amazed.

You guys would love Onset, an instrumental, to give singer Seike a break. Really shows musicianship. Misa bass solo, Kansmi lead guitarist really shines here. Her " tapping" runs ala EVH, are a work of art. Moratorium is an incredible song, with some cool transitions, lead ups, and guitar riffs, with incredible audience interaction. The Dragon cries is a newer song, real classic rock, zepplin feel, sung in english, great guitar work. Dont you tellme(live) , has back and forth bass guitar solos.
Any live performances by Band Maid I’m good with! Your spot in n when saying Band Maid is just great metal/rock. No weaknesses in this band and you have about 80+ songs/sets to go, my suggestions are( live of course), Moratorium, Take Me Higher( great call and response with the guitarist and bass player), Play, Puzzle there are so many more. Great reactions gentlemen. You can't go wrong with any Band-Maid songs you choose. MV or Live, doesn't matter. They are all just good ole fashion rock and roll. You've only began to know them. Plenty more songs to listen and react to. You are right there are plenty of J-Rock and J-Metal bands and some are good, like Lovebites, Aldious, Mary's Blood, BabyMetal, and even WagakkiBand (mixes traditional Japanese instruments and music and rock) but out of all of them Band-Maid I think stands out. They are just on another level. Their music composition, melodies, and catchy chorus just hits a homerun. Very talented ladies. Please continue to do more reactions.
Someone had the idea of a "Break glass in case of unhappiness" box that would play a Band-Maid song when you break the glass.
Is there nothing these Beautiful Ladies cant do? Im 60 years old and have heard alot of great bands, but This Band has to be one of the greatest ive ever heard. They go at it with such Beautiful Enthusiasm and Grace. Ive not heard one bsd song. They've actually brought me to tears of joy watching these ladies play such Beautiful Music. Imo they are #1 in all aspects of music and Beauty.. Great Band with unique Style in their Magical Music

In 2016, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin caught a performance of Band-Maid in Tokyo and asked for a photo-op with their drummer, Akane Hirose. Reportedly he told her that she was like a reincarnation of John Bonham.
For those who don't know, BAND-MAID played in the Classic Rock Awards 2016 and received the Japan Next Generation prize. After the show Jimmy Page, asked Akane for a photo.
"All other bands need to up their game." I agree completely. Band Maid has brought hard rock back to life for me, and I could not be happier.
That smile on Akane's face as she looks down from the drum throne to Kanami's killer solo is epic. These girls aren't just great musicians, they are also very good friends with no ego on-stage.

Band Maid is the best band in rock now. Ive been a fan for about 5 years now. Love all of the music and every one distracts you from the awesomeness the others are doing and you get best rock out there now!

Great you came back to Band Maid--this is definitely one of my 90 favorite songs by them. You should make it a weekly habit to do at least one song by them--you won't run out. And yes, you nailed it: they are the standard for rock bands now. Here in the U.S. it is commonplace to hear "Rock is dead", but it isn't--it just moved to Japan.
Now I know this performance inside out (blu-ray of this concert is superb) I'm hyper-zoned-in on that bassline now...awesome. I echo recommendations below...'Onset' (live 2018 Zepp concert). While vocalist Saiki rests her instrument and shiz...t'other maids go next-level...Instru-MENTAL

This band like Lovebites just can't have a bad performance LIVE, it is impossible for them it seems. Misa/bass dominated this song along with Akane's drum solo. My bass playing friends say MISA is the perfect women...Tall, Beautiful, drinks beer, play barefoot, has a smile that lights up a room and is a wicked base player (LOL)!!!!! This 2020 concert is absolutely stunning this was the 25th song of the 26 song set I think and the energy was just as if they started the concert. If you can't guess they love playing this song as a band!!!
Every Band-Maid song has parts for each member to shine and they really seem to enjoy themselves Rockin' Out! Did you notice when the guitars get up on the drum riser, they are all throwing funny faces back and forth trying to crack each other up, and Akane the drummer never stops smiling, except to throw a goofy face back. I Love BAND-MAID, and you're waiting too long between doing reactions to them.

Another serving of Band-Maid please
I have the DVD from this FEB 14th concert and it is Fantastic!!! Freedom was the 6th song and "DOMINATION" was the 20th of 21 songs at this concert. Energy level lost at 20 songs...... 0%. These ladies are true professionals is every sense and I don't see any band out there that matches them, while playing their own instruments. The road crew and concert engineers are to be commended too, this concert was a visual masterpiece. Keep up the reactions gents....

...and so, the J-Rock torch is passed from Show-Ya and Princess Princess, to SCANDAL, to BAND-MAID. Japanese bands do a lot of collabs...and this one is epic. Yeah, it's a ballad, but is shows their true talents, and it's fun watching Mami and Tomomi sing backup harmonies...and Rina on piano, instead of drums.

They have plenty of guitar solo songs. Freedom is their "drum solo" song if you will. I'm fond of the "blooming" music video guitar work. If you want a metal song, check our "Rinne" (also the music video...dont react to the live versions of Blooming or Rinne, the sound is poor)

They do their best to provide their "masters" their "servings, and they do a damn good job. I feel uncomfortable just writing that sentence, but supposedly it's commonplace in Maid Cafes to refer to their male customers as Masters and Female customers as Princesses. Either way, these women are off the charts amazing!

They are just amazing, in my opinion no other band right now is putting so much effort into every single song they are making. There are some songs from Band-Maid you can make 3-4 songs out of it, because there is so much change of riffs, pace, totally different verses etc. They don´t wanna do the same thing for a whole song, because they think the fans get bored by it. So much talent and ideas, it´s just awesome. You should watch "Onset" live, they are really showing off there and you are getting an kinda " Eddie van Halen tribute" there IMO.

Always enjoy your reactions. How about something different. I don't know if you have reacted to her, but Russian teen Diana (Dee auuna) Ankudinova (ann ku DEE nova). Start with Wicked Game. She was 15 at the time and is 17 now. She is called the Goddess Voice of Nature. She has a true Contralto voice. Very rare and beautiful for someone so young.
A very good review, you're gentleman. A couple of British geezers did a review and their only aim was to trash their musicianship. Compared Misa's slapping to Level 42; as if she stole their licks. Slapping came from Larry Graham when he played with Sly in San Francisco (not Level 42). Misa is bad ass. In a league of her own. Have you seen Love Bites, Morphia, Yoyoka, Baby Metal? This Kiwi nailed it: "What are they feeding those children?"
No need for me to suggest any Band-Maid songs seeing as they are IMO the best band in the world you will get lots of other people giving you suggestions (although I would suggest for the Office Bloke' who wants guitar solos, the tastiest guitar solos of all from Kanami come when you listen to their rock ballad songs such as "Daydreaming' and 'Wonderland'!)
Now, if you're thinking of doing a Japan week, boy are you in for a treat ... Band-Maid may be my favorite band ever, but there are a lot of Japanese bands that are my 'second' favorite band ever!! Come to think of it, all of Asia has a lot of bands that kick-the-ass of any Western bands .. most of the world's population is there so why wouldn't it have most of the world's talent as well?

Their earlier material are always crowd pleasers. I don't claim to have seen every live Band Maid DVD but I think this is the only time Akane, has had a drum solo of any length? She is happy and smiling anyway but you see she is grinning from eat to ear when she gets the chance to perform her solo. You most likely have been told before, that particularly Kanami and Misa, try to put Akane, off while she is playing. You see her pull a face back at one of them in this video. Maybe some more Lovebites, please? Swan Song, is an epic track that does require a lot of concentration foe them to play. For an animated performance, try Raise Some Hell.
