You can literally pick any Band-Maid song and I'm sure you would not be disappointed. I'd recommend following songs: Play (Live) Don't you tell me (Live) Moratorium (Live) Onset (Live) Blooming Reincarnation Welcome on the B-M hype train :D
Thank you so much!! I’m definitely going to be diving a little deeper into this band for sure!! Ole you stick around for more and make sure you’re subscribed if you’re not already my dude! 🤘🤘
@@CypherReacts Just subscribed and you will get a lot more with Band-Maid on your react list. I would request you watch the music video for "Don't you tell me" before the live video. I think it is a great song on its own and then they ramp it up on the live version. If you are up to it do a double reaction, first the video then the live.
They are the most talented, charismatic, fun band I’ve ever seen in my 53 years and they’re singing (partly) in a foreign language. The language barrier matters not a bit and this is the tip of the iceberg. Welcome to the journey. Along with “The Warning” from Mexico they are the saviours of rock.
Jamie Wilson The Warning out of Mexico and their epic rock opera masterpiece album Queen of The Murder Scene completes the current awesome trinity of female groups
Kanami (lead guitar) is just a genius songsmith. And adding Miku's lyrics and input from the rest of this talented band, it's all GOLD. Looking forward to more reactions! Po!
MISA! MISA! MISA! Holding the line in solid Guitar Rock, Band Maid has picked up the mantel of Rock'n'Roll where the West has just left it in the dirt! With over 100 audio pieces in their catalog, Band Maid is quite simply one of the best Rock Bands on the planet today!! More Band Maid Always!!! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
Nice reaction. I play guitar with other musicians and I can tell you these girls are masters of their instruments. The songwriting, song structure is very professional. My jaw dropped the first time I saw Band Maid on you tube. Now I am obsessed. Fantastic band
Excellent reaction! You have a new sub! An old rocker in his 50s here. If you would have told me 20 years ago that one of my favorite bands would be five petite Japanese ladies dressed in maid outfits, I would have called you crazy......yet here we are. You're right, this is the title track off their "World Domination" album.
Hell yeah ron! Thank you so much my dude!! Gonna be doing more from these guys and many more bands!! Maybe you’ll find another band you’ll love from my videos!
Oh, long time Band Maid fan. Seeing your reaction video in my feed drew me to your channel. All female rock/metal bands has actually become quite the trend in Japan lately. If you get a chance, check these ladies out. They'll blow you away too! Lovebites - "When Destinies Align": ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
So Jamie, you’ve discovered BAND-MAID. Great reaction, you seem to enjoy them. Fasten your seatbelt. These ladies will rock your socks off. The most common thing people comment about them is that their favorite Band-Maid song is the one that they just listened to. 🤘
The Maidiacs have arrived to your channel Jamie!! Congratts! I knew you would enjoy Band-Maid and this video was just the tip of the iceberg. I subbed so don't even mention it! LOL! Just do more of the best rock band on the planet.
You can see why my two favorite groups are BAND-MAID and BABYMETAL. Even though their genre, presentation, etc. is totally different. They both execute on stage at the higest level. Here's a little condensed history. Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar and lyricist) had previously worked at a Maid Café and thought it would be fun to take that kind of cuteness and contrast it with Rock 'n' Roll. After finding her lead guitarist Kanami Tōno via an Internet search, the rest of the members (drummer Akane Hirose and bassist MISA) were added as the new members referred her to other musicians they had worked with and liked. Miku started off handling lead vocals, but the band decided to add an additional singer to expand their range. Saiki Atsumi was selected after auditions. Their whole catalog is solid, but I have only one request. React to the song 'Secret My Lips': ruclips.net/video/1Vuca7V-5Ec/видео.html BEFORE reacting to 'Secret Maiko Lips', the special April 1st 2018 version. Trust me on this one.
Ah, Rick you left out the best part, they went to their agency looking for a singer. The agency did had someone but they didn't think she would go for the maid uniforms. So they auditioned Saiki without telling her about the maid uniforms nor did she meet Miku! Saiki rehearsed with Kanami, Akane and MISA only. On the day before their first gig, Saiki met Miku and was given her maid uniform!! Personally I thank all the gods of Japan that she stayed
Moratorium live from a couple of years back (or Don't you tell me, Secret my lips, Dice, Puzzle live as well - can't really go wrong). The bass player and drummer are seriously good and have already got international recognition.
Wonderful, genuine reaction to my favorite band on the planet. You've certainly earned yourself at least 1 new subscriber. You're in for a treat and nothing but if you jump down the pigeon hole(po!)!
Thanks for the fun reaction session: It's always a blast to see someone who knows good music "discover" Band-Maid. I've been a serious fan for 3 years now and when this vid came out last month I went as nuts as you did. Like some of my fellow Maidiacs below say, run, don't walk to get deeper into their rich discography. BTW: this is teaser for a full concert Blu-Ray coming out at end of April 2020 - if this vid represents the recording quality of the whole disc, then I recommend taking your heart medicine before watching - because it promises to be awesome squared.
LOOOL!! Not much beats to see first reactions to Band-Maid! =D Domination top song of album? All songs on the album are as good as this. And almost every song thay made... Congrats...you have much fun to look forward to! And us others too...this is from an upcoming DVD/Bluray. I dont know if you heard Lovebites? More japanese girls that hooked me completely. After only listen to Band-Maid for months, I bought all Lovebites albums and now only listen to THEM....
I’ve got more band maid on the way and I’ve been recommended to listen to love bites too! Hope you stick around the channel, got loads more content on the way!
Welcome to the last level, there is nothing better beyond. These ladies have pass seven years in the harsh panorama of Japanese rock music, opening a gap based on pure talent and charisma. It is not metal, it is not punk, it is not funk, it is all together in each of their songs. You have just discovered a band for a lifetime.
Band-Maid is to Rock, what BabyMetal is to Metal: PURE... UNADULTERATED... AWESOMENESS. Both groups make me feel so freaking proud of Japan... and I'm not even Asian lol xD
Saw these girls first in London in 2018 and I was instantly hooked. Been a huge fan ever since. I'm even learning Japanese because of them. You're right about their talent, and their songs give them all a chance to shine, especially live. As for other tracks to try, I must have around 30 of their tracks on my favourite list but maybe Moratorium or Real Existence or Non Fiction Days (live versions of course.) Would be a good way to follow Domination........po!!!!! (Gotta love the little pigeon).😁
One of the odd things about Band-Maid is that they don't really have a "best song". They just have about 30 in joint 1st place. The two with most views on their channel are just the oldest. I will suggest a live version of one of those two, "Real Existence", for next, but there are so many. ruclips.net/video/-qQnKILR5u0/видео.html It's the track they opened their shows with last year.
Yes people's favorite Band- Maid songs vary a lot because of the wide range of styles they play. I like more hard rock and pop so the songs that are catchy (Dice, Choose Me) are the ones i prefer but others love the heavy stuff (Reincarnation, Domination).
@Evren G.Nez My guess is not that he had never heard of the song before but that "if they opened with this what was the rest of the concert like" I think i saw a playlist and this one actually came towards the end of the show but I could be wrong
Jamie Wilson hello, I won't say how great this band is. You will read all sorts of comments regarding the wonderful diversity of their music. All I can say is for me I have been waiting for a long time to become interested in music again. Band maid blew open that door. It also allowed me to find many other amazing Japanese all female bands. Though for me Band Maid is top tier po.Have fun on this crazy journey . Be safe. New subscriber here.
Great reaction and welcome to the world of BAND-MAID. Possibly this is the best hard rock band of the last 30 years, this is only the beginning, this band has no bad songs, I expect more reactions from BAND-MAID.
Welcome aboard, Jamie. You are embarking on (along with many others) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of rock n’ rollers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (nearly 100 songs with new album, “Conqueror”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their later songs drive even more - Rin’ne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series! And many are represented with over 20 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (sample “Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ruclips.net/video/__1th7ctgMo/видео.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: ruclips.net/video/4uIYBkAybCI/видео.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: ruclips.net/video/usWZvlGGDSs/видео.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BR & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.). Saiki Atsumi “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma, performance and voice focus the experience. Miku Kobato "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 28 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!! Kanami Tono “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 28 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose "Gorilla" - Drums, 29 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA "Assassin" - Bass, 27 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Great reaction dude. I think their versatility is so great their Songs are mostly hard rock but they have so much influences (Grunge, metal, blues...., accoustic and even traditional japanses instruments if you count the Band Maiko stuff) in their music it is awesome. If you can stick to the live versions with the Exceptions of Blooming, Dice, Rinne and Dragon Cries. You discovered pure gold here !
Just the tip of the iceberg. I'm a newbie to Band-Maid as well. I ran across a random video on my recommended videos for their song Thrill about 6 weeks ago. I've been obsessed ever since. LOL These little ladies are absolute monsters, Each and every one of them in their own right. Just so fun to listen to, especially their live videos. Enjoy the rabbit hole...it's very deep. They have lots of material out there.
This is the BEST first reaction to this band! Mainly because this is how I reacted when I tripped and fell on this video. I wasn't looking for them I thought I was going to a different video. WHAM! I have not stopped watching them since January of this year!
I've been waiting for this day since I watched your first Babymetal reaction & you didn't disappoint. Great job Jamie!! I don't mind the pausing & wouldn't change a thing. I'm glad to see that Band-Aid helped push you past the 2k mark. Yesterday when we chatted for a minute I believe you were @ 1.86k so congratulations!! Looking forward to more.
Dude! Thank you so so much!! I was over the moon hitting that target and I’m ready to grind to the next!! I’m so ready to bring so much new content to you all! 🤘🤘🤘
@@CypherReacts maybe you know of them, but if you don't, a must band for a reaction channel is the band "Jinjer" & their song "Pisces, live studio session" it's by far not their best song, but it has to be that song for a first listen due to the WTF factor & you'd understand once you listen to it. I checked your list & didn't see any Jinjer so I'm hoping that you give them a listen. This band with their lead vocalist "Tatiana" will also get you tons of views & subscribers. They're metal, btw.
Great reaction yet again! You made a brilliant choice when you chose Road of Resistance as your first Babymetal experience and an excellent choice here for your first taste of Band-Maid. This is one of the best live Rock songs I've seen in many years and all these women are skilled and passionate musicians and singers. My music listening is split between Band-Maid and Babymetal almost exclusively these days (though Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix and the brilliant Underworld also get a look in occasionally). Haven't found a bad Band-Maid track yet and, like Babymetal, they really shine brightest live and there is a lot of live stuff out there as well as many really good studio videos. They are Miku Kobato = Vocals / Rhythm Guitar (the gorgeous and wacky founder of the band), Saiki Atsumi = Vocals, Kanami Tono = Lead Guitar, Akane Hirose = Drummer and Misa = Bass. If you want to see just how wacky - but in a beautiful and sweet and fascinatingly hard to stop watching kind of way, then there's some great clips of Miku giving one of her 10 minute chats to the audience which, while containing no music, are great fun to watch. Here's one of the best - Miku's Majinai (Magic) Time: ruclips.net/video/x6iSf73LiQ0/видео.html . A reaction to it might be good but, if you're sticking to music reactions, then brighten up your day with a watch of this! Look forward to watching lots more of your Band-Maid and Babymetal reactions as they've been excellent so far and can tell from your enthusiasm and passion for heavy but gorgeous Japanese bands that have the initials BM that you'll continue doing so. Stay safe out there. As Babymetal said at the end of the two concerts they streamed on Fri and Sat, "Stay Home. Stay Metal".
Thank you so much for the kind words again my dude!! Been doing all I can to bring the best reaction content I can!! So I’m so so glad that I’m pleasing you with what I’m releasing
BabyMetal sing and dance with a band...Band Maid IS the band! Their live stuff really shines with extra solos and battles. _I suggest when you pause to comment, you re-start 5 seconds back...just sayin._ Stay safe....Chur from NZL.
Babymetal have a cast of fucking awesome musicians from japan working in the background while 3 girls sings. Band-Maid is a cast of fucking awesome musicians from japan doing most of the work
First Babymetal, and now Band Maid, you have got a new suscriber ! Great reaction by the way, and you just scratch the surface of the japanese Music world. there is so much crazy talented bands and artists in Japan, and not only in Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. you can try One OK Rock, X Japan, Ningen Isu, Man with a Mission, and Many, Many other bands
I keep coming back to this video. It has to be one of the best first time reactions to this band. Cypher is "this close to 2k subscriptions" over a year later you're over 13k! Congratulations!!!!
@@CypherReacts Her name is Miku and like Manny said, she used to work as a waitress in a maid cafe which is where she got the idea of "how about a band of cute girls in maid outfits that play rock that will melt your face off". She was actually in a small idol group that never got any far. But being an idol is not just about being a performer, but also about being able to sell yourself or the band. While she started off as the weakest musically of the band, (rumour has it she had never touched a guitar before) she was the one with charisma to make up for it. She managed to collect all these talented musicians and convinced them of her vision.
Great reaction Jamie! Babymetal fans bring you to Band Maid it usually happens in either direction. And Band Maid is awesome as well! Please react to: 1. Play Live 2. Dice official music video 3. Take me higher live 4. Puzzle live Hope to see more reaction soon.
Every song this band has is good, and I'm not exaggerating. A lot of people like to recommend "Play (live)" as one of the first songs you should listen to, but I personally like to recommend the official music video for "Dice". When I first started listening to this band, Dice was the first song that really blew me away.
Who are they you ask... Well, it kind of started With Miku Kobato (backing vocals, guitar, spokes-pigeon). She had been a part of a failed all girl Idol-Group, and had in 2013 been working at this maid themed cafè for some months when she got the idea for a band. Band-maid. She needed a guitarist since she could'nt, but she didn't know any either, so she found Kanami Tono on youtube. After a few mails they deicided to meet. They hit of very well and she called her friend Akane Hirose( Drummer and part gorilla to the vocalist); whom she had been working With a lot earlier. She also thought the concept was cool, so she got in. Now it was a little worse With her friend from Music School. Misa didn't really fall for the maid thingy, so the Girls made a compromise. They found a Turkish maid-outfit, which also kind of gave her some more assassin like look. I started of well they did some songs, but i believe Miku herself wasnt really satisfied. With her own performance. though she had a Sweet pop-voice, it didn't really blend well With the hard-rock sound they were aiming for. So they found Saiki through some auditions... She liked the Girls, but has claimed that she didn't know about the "maid" clause, and if she did it wasnt sure if she had joined the band. I believe she in an interview said both the band and agent kept it a Secret. At least she has embraced the lead vocals and her more Spanish style :) Great band! So much to take from! Enjoy! P.s. If the Young pigeon didn't play guitar… then how did she learn? Well… Kanami would'nt allow her to stand in the back and just do the backing, so she gave her a promise that she would learn her to play. She is still Learning and has become a good rythm guitarist, laying a solid foundation where Kanami can play around. Lyrics? It's about taking a chance on taking on the world and having confidence to do it despite what others believe. At least how i read the translation.
This was the 22nd song of the set. The crowd reacts like that for all of them. The band includes audience reactions into the songs. I don't know of a bad song by them.
There are two kinds of people. Those who love Band-Maid and those who haven't heard them yet. I'm 42, former musician and sound engineer, worked in the music industry for 10 year and I'm pretty damn sure I've never heard a better band. I've listened to them for about four years and seen them live 15-ish times despite them never playing in Sweden. I can without a doubt say they are in the top ten list of the bands live I have ever seen and I still haven't heard a song I don't like. They are four insanely talented musicians and a brilliant Miku on background vocals and rhythm guitar. No one is better at being Miku than she is. Every band should have a Miku! Oh and by the way, I'm happy you didn't fall in to the whole comparing them to Babymetal-thing. The only thing they've got in common is that they are female and Japanese.
i am with you man, I too am a musician , made12 album and played internationally, BUT.. i have NEVER seen a band this good, anywhere. Friggin amazing. players. arrangers, writers , performers and okay lets admit it adorably presented with great personalities. I became a fan for life 5 years ago, and am still being constantly amazed at what they keep bringing out . Astounding talent and vibe ! Hey , I just remember , I jammed with a singer Pia Power and her band in Malmo in 95.
I like this Japanese rock and metal route you're taking. I've been a huge fan of jpop and jmetal for years now. By the way if you want to hear a really cool Japanese metal song I recommend ningen isu with heartless scat! Many youtubers have reacted to this song already. I immediately loved this song first time hearing it!
Oh man, loved your reaction. Welcome to BAND-MAID world. They have such powerful songs. Some people have recommended masterpieces, but also you should listen to 'Screaming'. Really heavy, dude!
Great first reaction, it mirrored my own first reaction. When I first discovered them I was led to them from Babymetal. I was totally blown away, this is the best hard rocking band that I've heard in over 30 years (I started listening to rock in the 1950's). I had given up on rock a while back (with a few exceptions), but these ladies turned that around. I now listen to their music every day. I also found that discovering Band-Maid and Babymetal opened a whole floodgate of exceptional gifted Japanese rock/metal musicians that was refreshingly innovative and original (as much as that can happen). It seems like the Japanese music scene is willing to try just about anything and see what happens (Ladybaby is a great example lol) and some times it just clicks, like Band-Maid. They're like the Beatles, Cream, Zep - without each member it probably would have failed.
New sub here, I like your stuff. So, quick story for you. I had never heard of BAND-MAID before. I literally found out about them while waiting in line at a Babymetal concert. Two guys in front of my friend and I were talking about Japanese bands and one had a BAND-MAID t-shirt on. I looked them up on my phone and fell in love while waiting in line to see Babymetal...which was an amazing show. Anyway, keep it up.
Alley! Thank you so much! That’s such an awesome way to find a new band! I’m gonna be doing so much more band maid and other so I’m glad you’re sticking around!
MISA MISA MISA! song 22 of 23 song set I flew from Melbourne Australia to LA (approx 8000 miles) last year JUST to see Band-Maid (saw them twice at the Echoplex)
Great reaction mate, but you did get one thing wrong, and that was the idea that this song is the best one off the album it was on, because most of their MANY songs off ALL their albums are just as good Domination ! Band-Maid are the best Rock band around right now. If you also like Metal, ckeck out Lovebites, another amazing bunch of Japanese ladies who are just as talented as Band-Maid !
Many people will recommend the live version. And that's right. Because they are the best live band. However, "Alone" "DICE" and "Blooming" recommend MV.
Oh Jamie you've only just scratched the surface of the extraordinary wealth of talented female rock and metal musicians now coming out of Japan. Babymetal and Bandmaid are your gateway introduction to this remarkable pool of talent but there are so many other bands; Aldious, Bridear, Mary's Blood, Iron Bunny, Doll$Boxx, Lovebites and gawd knows how many more. Do yourself a huge favour and check out the latest single release from Lovebites... "When Destinies Align, ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html

For some perspective, this was son 22 in a 22 song, 2-hour long set. They still have that much energy. I have had the privilege of seeing Band-Maid live eight times over the past four years or so, and every live show is just amazing. Their studio albums are great, but even their average (for them) songs are incredible live. If you ever get a chance to see them, absolutely don't miss it. Heck, I spend months saving up to travel to see their shows, and as soon as I've seen one, I start saving up for the next tour. It's just really unfortunate that with the COVID situation, it's unlikely they'll do a 2020 world tour, since time for planning and arranging would be getting pretty short by this point. But, Mr. Wilson, as a new fan of Band-Maid, you need to get to know the band. A mandatory assignment is watching these two videos. Click the CC to get English subtitles. This is a few years old and from when the band was far less known, but you can learn a lot about the band and the personality of each member. ruclips.net/video/R4PofsQYwn4/видео.html
Jamie Wilson yes I subscribed. I saw them perform in NYC at The Gramercy Theatre and The Mercury Lounge in September 2019. Two of the best concerts I ever went to. They are the real deal. Check out my channel I have some videos from the shows. There are lots of videos out there. Here are some other bands you should check out- Liliac from California and The Warning from Mexico.
I only discovered this band last year, but I can assure you that your favorite Band-Maid song will be whichever one you just finished listening to. They have so many amazing songs, it's impossible to make a Top 10 or even Top 20 list without constantly revising it.
@@CypherReacts Sub'd so I can. Love your reactions to each of the Babymetal ones and now I look forward to your shocks on the Band-maid. I'm actually a k-pop fan. Babymetal's pa pa ya was in my recommended list and watching a bunch of their songs brought up band maid in my suggestion and I was in love with them ever since. I seriously listen entire Band-maid playlist sometimes. They do not disappoint with any of their songs. Other fans will comment on their story better than me so I'll leave it to them. But when you hear about how the band is formed and that they write their own music, you're going to just love them even more. Guarantee it.
This is the 4th song on their 2nd full-album World Domination. They have 3 full albums, Just Bring It, World Domination, and Conqueror. They also have 5 mini-albums and several singles. They formed in July 2013. This song and "Dice" from World Domination were released as MVs. They have a lot of videos on RUclips and a library of over 90 songs. Their 1st video is "Thrill". ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their songs are mostly a mix of Japanese and English though they have two all in English. The most recent is "The Dragon Cries" off of Conqueror, produced by Tony Visconti, the producer of David Bowie and T-Rex. ruclips.net/video/skEkpogsmE0/видео.html Their MVs are all solid but they are even better live. Yes, Japanese audiences are often more interactive, and Japanese bands feed off the audience energy. Finally, they are not the only all-female Japanese rock band. Lovebites, Aldious, Scandal, Silent Siren, Mary's Blood, Mutant Monster, Otoboke Beaver, and many others. And all genres metal, pop-rock, punk, etc.
Welcome to the Pidgeon Hole that is Band-Maid fandom! Yes, the majority of their songs have a mix of Japanese and English lyrics. They do have two songs that are completely in English. Moratorium, Take Me Higher!, and Freedom are ones you should definitely check out next.
Thank you so much Andrew! I appreciate that!! I do what I can to bring my own content and views on songs, I don’t like seeing reactors that can’t say more than “this is cool, I like this” haha I don’t see that as content so I do my best to talk about the music I love!
Who are they? The best goddamned hard rock band on the planet. At least since John, Paul, George and Ringo called it quits in 1970. They are in a league all their own. Sacramento loves Band-Maid. And yes, Mr Cook Australia does as well. Thanks for promoting the best hard rock band on the planet today. Regards.

Welcome to the Band Maid Fandom. This is their most recent live performance music video style. I will sub because I look forward to more band maid music videos because yeah yeah baby metal blah blah lol. But this band right here is the most technical band out right now all 5 women complement each other making this band amazing. I'm sure you will listen to all of their songs on and off camera.
All of their professional live recorded songs is amazing! Pick one at random! Even some of their fan-cams are pretty good too! Check out the MV Dice. It was the first one I saw and been a Band-Maidiac since!
I loved your term "unfair" ) Couldn`t help myself from smiling and giggling at the joke. Well, yeah, this s paradox.

So Jamie, you’ve discovered BAND-MAID. Great reaction, you seem to enjoy them.

🤘
He’ll yeah Rick I’m ready for a ride!!
The Maidiacs have arrived to your channel Jamie!! Congratts! I knew you would enjoy Band-Maid and this video was just the tip of the iceberg. I subbed so don't even mention it! LOL! Just do more of the best rock band on the planet.
The best band on the planet!! Band Maid CRUSHES baby metal.
React to the song 'Secret My Lips': ruclips.net/video/1Vuca7V-5Ec/видео.html
BEFORE reacting to 'Secret Maiko Lips', the special April 1st 2018 version. Trust me on this one.
Rick, I love BABYMETAL&BAND-MAID too !
They give me energy at ease.
Rick Wagner in a Band Maid reaction? Im shocked! lol
@@outwest1014 And now Saiki wouldn't dream of stepping on stage without her "battle armor", i.e. customized maid costume. : )
@Shane Ashcraft I'm optimistic about seeing them both again in 2021.
Especially if they hit Southern California. That beer sounds great.
Their live performances are very good along with their beautiful songs too. BAND-MAID is life 💙
Agreed!!

Domination top song of album? All songs on the album are as good as this. And almost every song thay made...
Congrats...you have much fun to look forward to! And us others too...this is from an upcoming DVD/Bluray.

Band-Maid is to Rock, what BabyMetal is to Metal:
PURE... UNADULTERATED... AWESOMENESS.
Both groups make me feel so freaking proud of Japan... and I'm not even Asian lol xD
They are on a whole new level Jorge!! I hope you enjoyed the video and that you stick around for more!!
I like more hard rock and pop so the songs that are catchy (Dice, Choose Me) are the ones i prefer but others love the heavy stuff (Reincarnation, Domination).
thats true , and a lot come even more to life live. Insane standard of writing.
They opened with this ? Fuuuuuuck !
@Evren G.Nez My guess is not that he had never heard of the song before but that "if they opened with this what was the rest of the concert like"
I think i saw a playlist and this one actually came towards the end of the show but I could be wrong
RevStickleback , have to disagree, I think they have more like 50 best songs, I’m finding it difficult to find many I don’t like 🤘👍👍
Oh, you have no idea. Down the rabbit hole he goes...
It's a rabbit hole I hope I never escape from.
If you want more Band-Maid: Play and Onset are songs where their talents are on full display. Live versions are best.
And Blooming! Imo Best Solo...

Jamie Wilson hello, I won't say how great this band is. You will read all sorts of comments regarding the wonderful diversity of their music. Great reaction and welcome to the world of BAND-MAID. Possibly this is the best hard rock band of the last 30 years, this is only the beginning, this band has no bad songs, I expect more reactions from BAND-MAID.
You can never play to much Band-Maid !!
And many are represented with over 20 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (sample “Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BR & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
MISA! MISA!
The leads tapping in Onset, as well as the Bass solo WOW
Great reaction dude. I think their versatility is so great their Songs are mostly hard rock but they have so much influences (Grunge, metal, blues...., accoustic and even traditional japanses instruments if you count the Band Maiko stuff) in their music it is awesome.
If you can stick to the live versions with the Exceptions of Blooming, Dice, Rinne and Dragon Cries.

I've been waiting for this day since I watched your first Babymetal reaction & you didn't disappoint. Great job Jamie!! I don't mind the pausing & wouldn't change a thing.

That’s awesome!! Shows that talent can come from anywhere

Every song this band has is good, and I'm not exaggerating. A lot of people like to recommend "Play (live)" as one of the first songs you should listen to, but I personally like to recommend the official music video for "Dice". When I first started listening to this band, Dice was the first song that really blew me away.
More Band-Maid, please! They're literally unable to produce a bad song.
Don’t you worry! Loads more on the way!!
Kanami (lead guitar) is so awesome, yet she is so meek and quiet in real life. When she gets on stage though, she transforms into a Rock Goddess. 🎸🎶
At least she has embraced the lead vocals and her more Spanish style :)
Great band!
"Every band should have a Miku!" What a great line. You are spot on.
Yep, big credit for Miku. the best thing about him is that he managed to find Kanami and saiki
And Onset Live has a great Light show as well
I like this Japanese rock and metal route you're taking. I've been a huge fan of jpop and jmetal for years now. By the way if you want to hear a really cool Japanese metal song I recommend ningen isu with heartless scat! Many youtubers have reacted to this song already. I immediately loved this song first time hearing it!
Thank you so much!! I’ll definitely be looking into that one!! This band are great!!
Add maximum the hormone on your playlist you can choose any song
Band Maid!!
Another banger.
More on the way as well!! Don’t you worry
Miku Kobato (小鳩 ミク) - rhythm guitar, vocals
Kanami Tōno (遠乃 歌波) - lead guitar
Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - drums, percussion
Misa - bass guitar (the barefoot assassin)
Saiki Atsumi (厚見 彩姫) - lead vocals

Thank you so much!! Got more BM on the way!! You’re gonna love it!! Make sure you’re subscribed as well! Join the journey!!
I actually like DICE in the live version, it sounds heavier and has an extended intro
I'd recommend "Rinne" MV too. 🔥
"When Destinies Align,

I don’t plan to do that William! Don’t you worry! Hopefully you’ve got yourself subscribed to the channel for more!!
Jamie Wilson subscribed !
Legendary! New video on the way!!
Yep Welcome to the BandMaid rabbit hole !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t you worry! There is more! Make sure you’re subscribed!
I am looking forward to it

I only discovered this band last year, but I can assure you that your favorite Band-Maid song will be whichever one you just finished listening to. They have so many amazing songs, it's impossible to make a Top 10 or even Top 20 list without constantly revising it.
hahaha it´s over for you ! another catch ! Nipon Rock/Metal rocks
Band maid is one of them bands where the next song you like better than the previous one and it just goes on and on and on.
I’m ready to keep the videos coming!! I lovedddd it and I hope you’re gonna stick around for more videos my dude! 🤘🤘
Don’t you worry my dude! I’ll make sure that you didn’t regret subscribing!! I’ve got so much on the way 🤘🤘
This is the 4th song on their 2nd full-album World Domination. The most recent is "The Dragon Cries" off of Conqueror, produced by Tony Visconti, the producer of David Bowie and T-Rex. ruclips.net/video/skEkpogsmE0/видео.html
Their MVs are all solid but they are even better live.
Add unlucky Morpheus.
@@charleslatora5750 Great band but not all female, I will add Gacharic Spin and Doll$boxx which is Gacharic Spin + Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus.

I like your stopping the videos and then giving your opinion. Excellent insights.
Thank you so much Andrew! I appreciate that!! I do what I can to bring my own content and views on songs, I don’t like seeing reactors that can’t say more than “this is cool, I like this” haha I don’t see that as content so I do my best to talk about the music I love!
@@CypherReacts That's the best approach. Thoughtful people, that's what our civiliation needs nowadays...
Regards.
Not any where near the top song, as every song by BAND-MAID is unbelievable. Just pick one.
I can agree it’s the only one I’ve seen so far but wow!! Should I do another?
Jamie Wilson yes do “Moratorium” or “Don’t you tell me” or any one. Just make sure it’s live.
@@CypherReacts If you can stop playing this version non stop at 11 then I'd definitely recommend you do another Bandmaid or several.
This live version is WAY better than the original

This isn't the best song on the album, it's one of a number of songs that are equally amazing.
Best rock and roll band of the last decade. Technically as good as Rush. As tight as Ac DC. Brilliant.

Welcome to the great world of Band-Maid! The best rock group to come out in years! Choose another song, you won’t be disappointed
You'd think it would be the best song on the album but ALL OF THEIR SONGS ARE THIS GOOD!
All of their professional live recorded songs is amazing! Pick one at random! Even some of their fan-cams are pretty good too! Check out the MV Dice. It was the first one I saw and been a Band-Maidiac since!
Love how they goof around one minute (at 4:56, they're making funny faces at each other) and then offer you a badass instrumental the next (6:26).
Simply the domination of our little pigeon Miku, the lovely kuruppo 👗💝🎌✌
I loved your term "unfair" ) Couldn`t help myself from smiling and giggling at the joke. Well, yeah, this s paradox. You get the Olimpus place, you get all the cream, the prize, love and respect without even competing with anyone. Just badass rocking, playing, creative approach and flawless execution. True, I really have no idea if anybody out there can do what these girl same easy. Hold my beer, while we hit the satge. I guess i will be holding that beer whole show mesmerized )
