I've caught a number of her vlogs on youtube. She's got a great personality. The apartment is pretty nice for Paris. People who live in Paris often live in such gross conditions that they are too self-conscious to let you enter their units.

This lady is EXTRAORDINARILY blessed to find an apartment for 1100 euro in Paris. The most affordable one I found was 2200 Euro in the 8th. Her nails are also extraordinarily nice.
The 8th is expensive. Plenty of other arrondissements with more affordable prices. Be curious. Think put of the box. The one shown in this video is in the 18th. This young lady says she pays 1300€/month, not 1100. And that was a few years ago, not 2024. And it is a walk up !!! Do not dream : a comfortable 2 room apartment in a pleasant district will indeed cost some 1800-2000€ in 2024 - and 30 people will be queuing for it.
Congrats Ms T I have been following you for years now. When you had your first micro flat that you had to leave and when you lost your job. @@virtualtravelwithanna9812 If you do not mind walking up 5 floors. Obviously we have plenty of buildings with an elevator but then the rent is more expensive.
C'est un tres magnifique. So well designed. Paris is my favorite city in the world. Was fortunate enough to spend a month there in 1969. Many blessings to you during this adventure.
It is seldom in Paris that the toilet is separate from the bathroom. Our beautiful Haussmanian apartments did NOT have a bathroom, so one has to be created by knocking down walls which means the bathroom is usually small. In certain former working class districts (mainly the Eastern part of Paris) there was no indoor toilet, an electrical one was later created…
Such a bummer that she’s unable to use the fireplace. It’d certainly make for an amazingly useful amenity! The balcony and fireplace are the only features I really like about this place.
@@mimiwallen She is unable to use the fireplace 1) maybe because it does not work anymore (the flues have been blocked) or 2) because the insurance contract forbids it as it is a rental. These 19th century fireplaces (originally meant for coal) are not really « useful » - we do not use them for heating anymore - now they are only for pleasure and we use them with wood (wood is rather expensive in Paris). There are plenty of Haussmanian apartments with both a balcony (balconies are on the 2d and 5th floor, that was the rule) and a fireplace (or more) in working order. I own a 1870 apartment in the 9th which has both and both are indeed very pleasant. The apartment is also full of period details (herringbone floor and lovely mouldings). Those buildings did not originally have an elevator, sometimes it has been added later (mine has), sometimes not. If not, take into account that you will have to walk up with your errands… and the wood.
Loved this! Such a breath of fresh air! I'll be sure to check out her channel. I've been wanting to visit Paris since studying French in elementary school thru college.
Nice apartment at a very good price. It has only one disadvantage: a missing elevator. You would pay the same amount for a furnished apartment in Munich, Berlin or Frankfurt/Main. Thank you for sharing!🎉
The 18th can be the best (avenue Junot is one of the most expensive streets in Paris) or the worst (Chateau Rouge, Barbes). If you do not know that, you do not know Paris.
@@LBellatrix The 18th is far far from being only Montmartre. It goes all the way to the ring road (périphérique). And west and east. The apartment shown was near metro Lamarck-Caulaincourt (it was easy to see it) which is not what the tourists understand as Montmartre. Montmartre is for tourists. Do not be a tourist « hanging out » next time you come. Be more curious. See real Paris.
@ I actually did spend quite a bit of time in “real Paris” with my Parisian friends, including the ones who took me to Montmartre. It was 9 years ago but believe me when I say I never go anywhere as a “typical” tourist. the only issue i have with real estate in paris is that it has the highest number of non use 2nd homes causing insane renting prices. Its worse than new york.
Even if you filled all of the empty homes, the demand would still be insatiable. There are just too many people who want to live in the desirable parts of Paris and not enough apartments for all of them. There are lots of zoning laws that seek to preserve the character of the city instead of allowing more units to be built, which I understand since Paris is so beautiful. But it's a big tradeoff. Compare that with places like Seoul or Tokyo, where land rights are strong and developers can build tons of housing units to meet demand and keep rent prices stable. The tradeoff there is that you end up with quirky buildings and strangely shaped apartments. That produces a different kind of beauty.
@@WhatIsThis-zq4hk I wouldn't say Paris is beautiful at all. The alley ways are filled with trash, so much crime like any city. I'm not a big fan of zoning laws it pushes people away.
@@Nchinnam Those who have a second home in Paris are rich foreigners owning expensive apartments. They are absolutely not in the way of people looking for a 2 room apartment !!!
