    I recently fitted a Resistor for the heater blower as it didn't work on settings 1 &2. but fine on 3 and 4.Once fitted the Air Conditioning started working for the first time in 2 years as soon as i set it to setting 1 you could hear the Compressor clutch clicking. Worth checking when you go through wiring. My car is a Peugeot 307 SW.Thanks for all the excellent videos.

    Excellent video thank you , I never knew that just the pulley and clutch assembly was replaceable my local garage told me they only come with a compressor.

    Have you ever found the problem why the ac didn't work? Because i would love to know what the solution was for the problem?

    Great video. Thank you. But I didn't quite understand, if the clutch was ok and the electro magnet was ok, then what was wrong? Why didn't the clutch drive?

    A Very Good Video for the likes of me,, NOT Having to remove the Gas is an important feature of this video,, One comment only,,, Before doing mine I will check the + and ground before buying the kit,, BUT an EXCELLENT VIDEO, Very Basic,,Not going through all the Terrible Videos who make it look very hard,by Taking the whole Compressor out of the car..Enjoyed every second of it,,, One FINAl Point,,Another video of what you did find would have been very helpfull,,,, Even an ADD ON Verbally would have been EXCELLENT,, VERY GOOD Allthe Same. Thank you.

    Excellent video it helps me a lot thank you! I have a bad bearing in my 307 ac compressor and I want to change it. It would be great if you can tell me the dimensions of the replacement bearing.

    thank you for admitting that changing the pulley did not solve the problem. It helps to diagnose the problem by looking at the AC parameters in DiagBox. There one can see if the Climate Control Unit (CCU) and the Engine Control Unit (ECU) permit the compressor to engage and also if it actually is engaged. The CCU will disagree if system pressure or temperature are off limits, the ECU will disagree if the engine runs roughly or is overheated. In most cases both control units agree but the compressor still won't engage. This could be a defective power transistor of the ECU (unlikely) or a defective wiring from the ECU to the electromagnet (unlikely) or a broken wire from the magnets plug to the magnet, which is mostly the case, probably as a result from years of vibration. Mostly the E-magnet needs to be replaced.

    The best video and good information about how to solve a problem but in this case, i have a also peugeot 307 and teh kompressor making noise in both condition if the compressor engaged or not, it make in both condition unwanted noise, i beleive if i replace the bearing so the problem will be solved?

    That was the solution ? My 307 also has an air conditioning problem ... the clutch stays on and off all the time. Was that a phenomenon for you too?

Gdzie kupiłeś zestaw naprawczy samego sprzęgła i jakiej firmy? W sklepach internetowych albo brak albo ceny 400+. Proszę o odpowiedź na priv i z góry dzięki.

    Please avoid trowing parts for the sake of guessing. Your wallet will thank you! In this case you spent money and work for nothing.
    Tip: When in doubt, override the command/parts, using a simple, well charged, 9V battery. It make for an excellent power source for testing the clutch. You would be able to rule out the compressor clutch/pulley and save the expense + labor! Feed power trough that yellow plug, the result will show up on the spot. Also there's no need to disassemble nothing. ;-)
    More common reasons for non deploying AC. Lack of pressure in the system, bad pressure switch/wiring, any other malfunction AC, engine cooling or ventilation component. Do not rule out the ventilation system, a bad resistor can be a good reason for not deploying. On modern cars, rarely the AC button on the dash command the AC directly! It send a signal request that's interpreted by the BSI. If a number of logical checks are met, than it deploy the AC! Those logical checks can go from engine rpm, to system pressure and a big etc!

  • @MildlyCurious
    @MildlyCurious 6 лет назад +1

    Have you checked the AC gas pressure. If the pressure is too low, the clutch will not engage. That could be your problem. So you have to refill the AC and use UV leak detection, to identify where your leak is. In my case it was on the condenser/radiator. So I had to replace the radiator and refill the AC.

    • @isitfixedyet891
      @isitfixedyet891  6 лет назад +1

      Hi MrStankoman,
      I did check it. Might be also that my pressure sensor is malfunctioning. I shortwired the compressor and it works fine. Thanks for heads up! :)
      Cheers

    My 307sw (220,000km) Compressor pulley is quiet when the engine is running but there is a rattle when the AC is switched on. Is this a pulley bearing problem or a compressor shaft problem. No noise when engine running suggests that the bearing is OK. However maybe it rattles when there is a load on it from the clutch. You mentioned that problems with the bearing/pulley are common. AC is working, just rattling. Thanks for your opinion and your great videos.
